Great stay, lovely meal in restaurant although not enough staff serving in bar area meant a bit of a wait for drinks and to order food etc. Very dog friendly, will definitely come back!

Stayed at Knaresborough Inn for 2 nights. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Food was delicious and the beer garden was very pleasant, staff were friendly and we will definitely go there again

I loved staying at this Hotel in Knaresborough. The staff is friendly, polite, and helpful. The rooms are well furnished and very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent, and there is a large garden area to sit outside in. This was my third stay with my dog and partner, and we were put in The Cottage, the perfect place for us and our dog. I will be back. Knaresborough is a lovely, quirky market town in North Yorkshire with a river and castle. It is also a great place to visit, with a mid-week market and many cafes and restaurants at reasonable prices.

Nice room, smooth check in. Hotel itself is very nice in the bar/restaurant area. Staff are great. Downside is the free carpark is very cramped for modern larger cars. Simply no room to maneuver the car to get out, once the area is full. A 10:30 checkout is also rather early and feels rushed after breakfast.

Friendly welcome and attentive staff, after we found somewhere to park, easily. (Park around the back) The room was clean and tidy ready for 3 of us. Restaurant and bar was comfortable, food was lovely, (king prawn pizza was👌) To sum it up, when we return to knaresborough we will stay here again.

We chose Knaresborough for its location and The Inn for its stated dog friendliness. From the moment I called to add our dog to the booking to our departure it was clear that this is not an establishment that just 'accepts dogs'. It has gone out of its way to plan for them. Our room had external access that facilitated keeping the hotel clean after walks as well as easy loo breaks. The dog menu was a hit too.

Hotel pretty good, staff friendly, rooms excellent however didn't like having to go to the bar to order food, this is supposed to be a 3/4 star hotel not a corner pub, if I have a criticism unfortunately the food is poor, in marking it out if ten it is no more than a 4.

Great service, very polite and helpful staff. The room was clean, the beds were comfy and the size of the family room was perfect for a family of 4. The location of the hotel was perfect, would definitely recommend.

Lovely building and outside area for a drink. Unfortunately our room was near an air conditioning unit which was noisy so we couldn’t have the window open, it did turn off but really late. The room was good. The lads on reception were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was terrible, tables not cleaned. Nothing left, juice empty and not refilled, no brown bread, no pastries. Undercooked sausages and full serving dish of them left untouched for this reason and bacon undercooked when it was finally replenished. Lots of unhappy customers grumbling about this. Would expect more from a hotel like this.

Comfortable bed. Shame I was put in an accessible room as the washbasin was ridiculously small & in truth would be totally impractical for anyone in a wheelchair as they wouldn't be able to get their knees under the sink & it would be impossible to even brush their teeth !! The T V was in an absurd position high on the wall directly to the left when lying in bed ,so one would have to twists in the most absurd position to watch TV. Im very fortunate not to be disabled so moved the bed so I could actually watch tv straight in front of me !!!

Unfortunately voices were audible through the walls on one side of the room as were music and footsteps from the dinng area below but otherwise I was satisfield with the accommodation. Having an on-site restaurant was a handy option for the first night although I did venture out on my second evening for tea at a local restaurant. There are scenic views of the town from near the hotel and the main road wasn't a disturbance. The staff were helpful and efficient. I would stay here again as I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Knaresborough.

Lovely hotel. We had a room for 3 of us and a dog and was really spacious. Breakfast selection was great and plenty of space in the bar restaurant each evening/morning. Walking distance to the town centre and the river. Our only complaint was how hot the room was even though none of the radiators were on. But we just left the window open all day and it was a much more comfortable temperature.

First, we were in Room# 3 & bathroom so small 18X26 and the door swing open at 8” leaves small entrance 15+/- inches difficult for heady body person! The shelf was not fixed of the closet ( fired the carpenter!) Even the room was so small, we can manage to open only one bag! Otherwise property is good! Breakfast was better than average!

I thought I had booked a hotel room but was actually accommodated in what they call the annex which is more like an American motel. Your door opens directly to the car park. The room was small and hot. Worth £60 a night but not £200

Very attentive and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Very well appointed room with a comfy bed and good bathroom. Nice bar with lots of space. Breakfast very enjoyable. The only downside was the main evening meal - it wasn’t unpleasant but really wasn’t in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Seemed very ‘processed’ if that makes sense. Certainly won’t stop us returning to the hotel next time we visit Yorkshire

Great location to walk to restaurants, shops, and bridge. The property is very nice, but the staff is not well-trained and the food in the restaurant is very poor. The tv in my room did not work and staff made no efforts to fix it. Also, it took the front desk staff three tries to program my room key so that it worked.

Such a lovely comfy room with plenty of tea etc I didn’t have breakfast as I was catching up on some writing… Yes the staff were so friendly at checking in and out …. I have stayed at the knaresborough Inn a few times and its always fantastic

Very nice courtyard room, main building was very nice. However, service was disappointing. Arrive slightly early (2.30pm) for check-in in at 3pm, not allowed, room not available -OK fair enough. So sat & waited until 3pm. Tried to check in.....rooms still not available, would be 20mins-30mins, so oeft to return later. Checked in around 5pm, walked across courtyard to the room, electronic key card not working!! Another walk to main building, then back again... B'fast open at 7.30am, except doir was still locked. Allowed in, hit service not ready, cold service not quite finished being laid out. Another guest asked for a cereal she had had day before to be told 'none left' with a role of the servers eyes as the customer turned & walked away. Such a shame as the rooms & main building was very nice. In my opinion just needed staff to deliver what was supposed to be on offer rather than a slightly late, slightly lackluster facsimile.

There are hotels and hotels. This is a perfectly nice, comfortable hotel, with nothing to complain about. But what really makes all the difference here is the staff. They were all amazing, helpful, smiley and friendly, it is them that we will remember, and that will make this hotel stand out in our memories. Thank you - for the pot of tea, for putting up with our late evening family gathering, for calling us Mr and Mrs Bond, and making us so comfortable.

Overall stay was fine but room on arrival was dusty with stray curley hairs in the bathroom. Staff friendly, food fine. Busy main road in the mornings. Breakfast v good.

Great location, friendly attentive staff, spotless functional and comfortable room, excellent breakfast, all in all a very nice hotel, my wife and I thoroughly recommend it, made our one night stop over in the lovely riverside town of Knaresborough very enjoyable.

Lovely hotel. We had a room for 3 of us and a dog and was really spacious. Breakfast selection was great and plenty of space in the bar restaurant each evening/morning. Walking distance to the town centre and the river. Our only complaint was how hot the room was even though none of the radiators were on. But we just left the window open all day and it was a much more comfortable temperature.

Really fantastic stay at The Knaresborough Inn. Leave your car parked up for the time you stay there if only staying a couple of days — everything in town is walkable, and there are brilliant public transport options to get you through to Harrogate. Very comfortable room, and a really great on-site pub & restaurant. Brekkie in the morning was really good; food options in the evening also plentiful, although more choice for vegetarians would be welcomed. Dog friendly!! — although, on this, it was an extra charge of £15/night and after the first night my room was not cleaned, only the tea/coffee replenished and the duvet/pillows straightened. I mentioned this to one of the inn/bar staff who simply shrugged their shoulders and said that was the charge. Fair enough; but if the charge is for the additional cleaning of the room for having my dog there, then I do expect the room to be cleaned. Aside from this, I had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return.

Lovely building and outside area for a drink. Unfortunately our room was near an air conditioning unit which was noisy so we couldn’t have the window open, it did turn off but really late. The room was good. The lads on reception were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was terrible, tables not cleaned. Nothing left, juice empty and not refilled, no brown bread, no pastries. Undercooked sausages and full serving dish of them left untouched for this reason and bacon undercooked when it was finally replenished. Lots of unhappy customers grumbling about this. Would expect more from a hotel like this.

Lovley country pub style restaurant and bar. It was really busy and sevice was quite slow, it felt like there should've been more staff. Several types of wine on the list were not available, but our food was great! The rooms are fresh and clean and beds comfy. Great location for the sights of Knaresborough.

Hotel pretty good, staff friendly, rooms excellent however didn't like having to go to the bar to order food, this is supposed to be a 3/4 star hotel not a corner pub, if I have a criticism unfortunately the food is poor, in marking it out if ten it is no more than a 4.

This property is massively improved since the Inn Collection group took over. WOW, brilliant. Totally refurbished . Everything was brilliant. Excellent meal , great service .

A lovely welcome at check-in, followed by a good night stay. Convenient hotel with easy walk to Knaresborough. The only chaotic bit was breafast. 2 staff members running around and we're quite abrupt with guests (and myself included). Next time, I'd probably skip breakfast and go up the road to a cafe!

Excellent breakfast; wifi was a bit hit and miss in the room (although may be better in other rooms); best park at the rear because it's a bit tight at the front; excellent location; to my mind the rooms could do with some TLC. I was really looking forward to staying at this place and, although it was all right, I was a bit disappointed and if staying in Knaresborough again would look for other options first.
