This hotel is absolutely amazing. The room was a bit small, but very well designed — modern, comfortable, and had everything we needed. One of the highlights was The Libraries, their beautiful bar and lounge area where you can also have a great meal. The atmosphere was perfect, with excellent music, drinks, and food. Special thanks to Luciano, who was working that night — his service was exceptional. I was even offered a late check-out until 1pm without asking, which was a lovely surprise. The front desk staff were also outstanding — friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Everything about our stay was excellent. We would love to come back.

Great experience at the Britomart. Chichi hotel, beautifully designed, new, spotless and great bar and restaurant. Staff were so gracious and couldn't do enough for you. Location is fabulous- right in the middle of everything and easy access to the ferries.

Stunning hotel and great location. Library bar was a nice surprise and overall stay was a relaxing and enjoyable time. Only niggle was room service came about 3pm each day after we had returned to the room for a rest post shopping and walking. We just left and went to the bar so not a disaster but a made up clean room would have been preferable. Will definitely stay again. The new go to place!

Extremely clean and friendly new eco hotel. Rooms designed to win awards - sleek but counter-intuitive. Ask for a tour unless you enjoy a hunt. Charging ports and toiletry supplies are perversely concealed but fine once you find them. Light controls require an advances degree. We’ve stayed twice and enjoyed both once we figured things out. Frankly the harbor view rooms aren’t worth it IMO - quieter on the inside, smaller bathrooms are brighter than the chic but cave-like bathrooms in the ocean facing rooms (somewhat obstructed views to the working port in any event). Included breakfast nice and worth it. Many nearby restaurants/shops in immediate area and very convenient to the ferry if you’re vacationing on Waiheke Island. Staff is exceptionally friendly and thoughtful.

Britomart Hotel is close to Spark Arena where I attended a concert. It’s also within walking distance to amazing restaurants and shopping in Commercial Bay. The hotel is immaculate and the staff are all so kind.

The Hotel Britomart is a very nice place to stay. Excellent location. Staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. The fish restaurant, Kingi, is outstanding (we ate there every night, despite there being excellent restaurants in town). The modern design is elegant, especially in the old building that includes the restaurant, bar, and reception, but also in the rooms, which are extremely attractive, clean and comfortable. The reason for four stars instead of five is that the Hotel Britomart, like so many hotels, has insufficient drawers and cupboards in which to put your belongings. So we ended up living out of our suitcases, which was inconvenient. In addition, the room temperature, shades, and lights are operated electronically, as well as, in some cases, individual light switches. The two systems compete making it difficult to get the lighting right in the bathroom or to control the lights from the bedside. Despite these shortcomings, we’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Our room was terrible. Both of our rooms windows were feet away from other building, an office desk faced our room and there was zero privacy. It was like being in a cave. For that price, I’d never stay there again.

Impeccable. Every detail in the room was considered. Form and function, design, everything. The space of the room is so well thought out. Its clearly a small space, but it feels comfortable and organised perfectly. We had a wonderful stay and will look to stay again, absolutely.

Britomart was excellent for our 3 night stay in Auckland prior to boarding a cruise. It’s very quiet and comfortable and the location is excellent. There are an abundance of restaurants and shopping within a short walking distance. It’s near the harbor and cruise ship terminal which was very convenient for boarding the cruise.

The Hotel Britomart was exceptional. The location was a couple of blocks away from the ferry building and one block away from the train station. Restaurants and shopping were within walking distance. The Hotel Britomart was exceptional. The location was a couple of blocks away from the ferry building and one block away from the train station. Restaurants and shopping were within walking distance. This hotel is absolutely amazing. The room was a bit small, but very well designed — modern, comfortable, and had everything we needed. One of the highlights was The Libraries, their beautiful bar and lounge area where you can also have a great meal. The atmosphere was perfect, with excellent music, drinks, and food. Special thanks to Luciano, who was working that night — his service was exceptional. I was even offered a late check-out until 1pm without asking, which was a lovely surprise. The front desk staff were also outstanding — friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Everything about our stay was excellent. We would love to come back.

Great stay and hotel was really nice and in the best location. Only down side would be me and my daughter are vegetarian and the restaurant menu had nothing on it that we could eat so had to eat elsewhere.

Great location very nice hotel. Great location on the britomart. Very good food. Plan for a wait at busy breakfast times. Was there at Christmas so the staff was harried. But friendly and earnest.

Loved the super clean and corner room- perfectly arranged room with everything you could require. The decor was really nice, very tasteful and modern, spotless as well. The only thing that was a slight let down was the breakfast, which was both delayed and not as good as some other hotel breakfasts we’ve had in NZ. Didn’t include a cold buffet as well as the hot food. Besides that, it was a perfect stay- bed super comfortable.

The Britomart is a great place for a short stay but not for an extended visit. The hotel is perfectly placed in the CBD, close to the cruise terminal and ferries, which is why we booked it. The immediate impression of the property and its rooms is excellent, but as you live there, it starts to irritate you. It is little things like the lack of coat hooks for outdoor stuff, that will get wet in Auckland. The lack of draws or shelves for your smalls The pocket door to the bathroom. But most of all the computer controlled lighting, which after 6 nights I still could not work properly. Why do we need dimmable lights in a bathroom? Just give me a switch. We did not eat in the hotel and only used the bar once. The restaurant seems to cater for the rich kids in finance to eat after work and thats not my scene. In all a good hotel and would be perfect with a few tweaks.
