Hilton Garden Inn Hutchinson

From the minute we arrived for our son’s wedding weekend (Friday), to when we checked out on Sunday afternoon everyone we came in contact with was helpful. Especially Eric at the desk when we arrived. The staff in the restaurant treated us and our guests very well throughout the weekend. It was so nice to have food and drink options right there.

Really nice place to stay, from the rooms to the staff. Even the food place in there was great!

Where to even begin? Paying your 20-something employees minimum wage to manage an entire upscale hotel on their own for a full 8-hour shift doubtless saves Hilton some money. Does minimum wage produce minimum problem resolution and minimum guest satisfaction? Yes. Does Hilton care? No. In fact, the hotel General Manager could not seem to trouble himself to break away from his gaming for two minutes to speak to us at the front desk about our problems. That's alright, General Manager -- we'll speak to you here. Your hotel is an embarrassment to the Hilton chain. There were large bugs in the room, the same large bugs in the elevator, and the same large bugs all over the lobby area. Perhaps they are sacred bugs because no one removes them, we didn't know. The refrigerator in the room did not work, but at least there was one. There was no safe in the room, and we took this to mean there is no crime in Kansas. There is inadequate lobby security. We were told vagrants come in from time to time to sleep in the lobby. Lovely. (cf. "no safe" above) We think there may not actually be a General Manager. Hilton advertises there is one with a business card at the Front Desk, but we never saw one, he never responded, and he never helped us. One duty manager did try to help us, however, and he is to be commended. We do not mention his name nor what he did to help us so that he is not punished for violating the Hilton Garden Inn Hutchison rule to not lift a finger.

The room was spacious & just what we needed! We loved the cleanliness of the entire hotel. Keep up the good work !

Could not believe how nice and clean this hotel was. We asked the front desk staff for food recommendations and they went above and beyond to help us, look up names, and addresses. The lady working the bar was incredibly nice and friendly, but only to our group but to everyone at the bar and lobby area.
