Margaritaville Jacksonville Beach

Short staffed and there were guests that didn’t have working tvs. The valet service was incredibly disorganized. Bathrooms were subpar.

Pros: Property was amazing, the staff always helpful. Our bed was very comfy, room clean, and we had a beautiful view. The meal we ate in the on site restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Cons: parking was a nightmare. Only a few spaces for self-park, but valet is a cluster. Very small motor court to pull in, so trying to load and unload is crazy and rushed while cars pile up behind you. AND, you pay a hefty price just to park each day you are there. For $300+ for a room, I feel as if it should be included, but they have ya there. Tha bathroom is big and pretty, but when you shower, there is absolutely no where to put your towels other than the floor😩. No counter, shelf, hook, door or toilet lid remotely near.

The shower was not ideal. Base of shower was slippery. Shower had bad pressure. Would prefer a door or curtain on shower. Pool was supposed to be heated but was not. Bar downstairs didn’t stay open very late

Wonderful stay overall. The first room we checked into had an AC that was not working but they quickly had us in another room where it was perfect. The pool is nice and being right on the beach is a plus. Just did a couple's weekend there and would definitely do it again.

The pool closes at 9pm which is insane.

Valet only parking so be aware but otherwise a safe quiet and clean stay steps away from the beach and many bars and restaurants.

The property is very nice. AC was n I t working in tge lo by, restaurant's erc, veey uncomfortable to be inside during rainstorms. The staff in All areas were WONDERFUL!

Rooms, hallways, elevators and all common areas were pretty much spotless. Loved All the artwork The pool was wonderful. It will be our go to place from now on.

Great place the only downfall is the parking situation which kind of forces you to use valet at basically 30 aper night then tips geez

We had a horrible stay there. Not only the room wasn’t cleaned, but there were molds everywhere. I still can’t believe this place has 4 stars. It doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

My husband & I have stayed here before so booking it again was an easy decision….one that I regret deeply! The first room I went into was absolutely filthy and the safe did not work. I called the front desk and they offered to allow me to switch rooms, so I did. That room wasn’t as dirty but still dirty, the refrigerator didn’t work so they brought me in a new one that smelled like fish. The vent hood in the kitchen was not working so the menu was extremely limited. Then I went to take a shower and no matter which direction I turned the handle. There was no hot water. They sent him up to fix it, he fixed it and then it only was scolding hot water no matter which direction I return the handle I could not cool it down at all… I had to rush through the shower because it was burning my skin, and my skin was very red when I got out of the shower. Also, there was trash and plastic in the hotel hallway from the elevator to my room for the entire day I was there nobody ever cleaned it up. It was honestly very disgusting. I asked them to please compensate me and they offered me $25 off of my food bill and one day of valet parking deducted which hardly seems reasonable considering I spent close to $600 for a very unpleasant stay. I was a return customer, who will never return again.

High humidity in room. AC not working well. Sheets were damp and my clothes got damp.

This was an okay stay. It’s a cool spot and very fun. However, the room floor was really dirty. Sand, and my toddlers hands and feet were black when he crawled around. The fridge was warm, no microwave. Some of the outlets worked. The bathroom fan didn’t work. The room was incredibly hot when we got in. The saving grace was the staff and the main lobby floor. Lots of great staff and the food at the restaurant was excellent. Just wish the room was better.

Room was far from clean and the trash under the pull out and the empty beer cans under the night stand and the patio was far from clean

My check in was for 4pm. When we arrived at 4:30 our room was not ready. We didn’t get our room until 5:20. We get into our room and there are dirty towels in the bathroom.

Black mold was found in several places in the room. I wish i could upload pictures.

I was very pleased with the early check-in. The staff was also quite helpful in resolving the issues I experienced with my key. The only drawback was that the hot water was not very warm, and there was a $20 charge to have a microwave in the room. I have not encountered a hotel that did not include a microwave before. While there is a restaurant, I have Celiac disease, which means I need to bring my own food. All in all great service, great accommodations and the views are amazing.

Last year we stayed we had a sink handle problem, this year yet again, sink wouldn’t even turn off and the hot side was almost impossible to turn to use. And I’ve seen reviews bringing up this issue. CHANGE THE sink HANDLES IN THE BATHROOMS already. They are cute, but do not function properly. Also got tore up with bites of something. Better start checking for bedbugs here.

The ocean was visible from our Balcony. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was very nice. The only problem I had was the bed. The bed was extremely hard it felt like sleeping on a hardwood floor. My back hurt the whole time I was there.

The location is perfect right on the beach. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The bed was not very comfortable for my liking. The main downside for me was the water pressure in the shower and the sink it was low and also the shower took some time to warm up before being able to get in.

We had a partial view of the ocean with a very small walk out balcony. It was nice. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was not very comfortable. I was surprised at this considering the price of our stay. Also, it would have been nice to have had a microwave in the room. I had leftovers from dinner and I had to eat my lunch cold.

The room was clean and comfortable. Had an issue of no hot water in the bathroom and the floor felt a little sticky. We let the hotel know of the hot water issue when we checked out. We were only staying one night.

Partial ocean view with balcony. The bathroom has sliding barn door which does not provide complete privacy. There was also no fan in the bathroom and mirror steams up.

Multiple issues with the room daily while we were there. Dirty underwear left on the bathroom floor, a clogged sink, toilet seat that was loose, faucet that leaked black stuff when turned on and USB outlets that didn’t work. On a side note you can only link up YouTube TV and nothing else so cable options and TV are limited. For $500 a night, the view was about the only thing impressive during our stay and the bar tenders as they were really nice.

Overall it was a good experience, location, dining options were great. Booked a room with balcony but there was no balcony to speak of just a two foot wide area that you could not even stand on. ,

Everything was just ok but just another over priced hotel with pretty pics on their website and the experience was just not as great in person. Everyone working was nice but this hotel is extremely understaffed. Need more people working the valet, front desk, cafe, restaurants, bars and so on. So was the stay great, absolutely not. Basically just an average hotel, nothing that makes me want to return. And when I told the front desk employee all this when I checked out she basically didn’t care for my feedback so doubt it will ever improve.

Everyone who works at the hotel are amazing. Very kind and helpful. Loved the room...the sunrise was amazing this morning! Great way to start the day. Only a 15 minute drive to Mayo Clinic...perfect location to rest and relax!

I’ve always enjoyed visiting Margaritaville when in Jax Beach to see family, but this trip was a very different experience. Check-in started off rough. While the front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating, I had to change rooms twice before settling in. The first room had a broken toilet seat. When I went back down, they quickly switched me to another room — but that door wouldn’t lock at all. A receptionist personally came upstairs to confirm, and after searching, finally escorted me to a third room that had no issues. She did try to make up for the inconvenience by gifting me a bottle of champagne, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the challenges didn’t stop there. The next day at the pool, I ordered a salad and fries. When I realized my card was missing after paying, I mentioned it to the waiter. He insisted it was in the card presenter — but it wasn’t. Another server stepped in to help, and eventually the first waiter returned with my card, saying it was “on the floor.” No apology, and he seemed more annoyed than concerned, which left me uncomfortable. On top of this, the new wristband system is frustrating — it takes too long to register and slows down getting to your room. I truly hope Margaritaville can get things back on track, because the property itself is beautiful and has always been a great place to stay in the past.

Had a great time an everything was great except the bar the bar tenders added gratuity to my ticket with out me seeing it an i am very good about great service an tipping 20% but i didnt not see where it was add so i tiped 20% of my bill so they wind up making 94.58 on a 213 tab an i was a little pissed when. I found out why but i confronted them. They told me we you should had paid attention your ticket. Not what i expected from a 400 a night hotel all pther staf was great an very help full

This is a wonderful property, beautiful location, well kept, clean, lobby was beautiful and inviting. The Lookout bar was fantastic, the 2 bartenders working on Thurs were fantastic. My only complaints are when i arrived at check-in, i was not greeted, I was not asked to wait a moment, I wasn't even looked at by the hotel staff at the front desk, one person was on the phone, another person was not on the phone, but the moment I walked up, he picked it up and started talking on it. The third person that was there just went into another room with anf acknowledgement that i was there, then I stood there 5 minutes while they talked on the phone before being greeted. Now let's talk about housekeeping, absolutely no service was provided at all. On my second day there I got back to my room about 5 o'clock, room still unattended anf then maybe 15mins later housekeeping shows up asking if I want my room cleaned, my answer, it was I did, but it's too late in the day now for it. She just walked away no apology nothing. I acknowledge that they have a thing you put on the door if you don't want housekeeping, but I didn't do that, so I wanted housekeeping. For what I paid for the room and for what I was supposed to be getting, I'm very disappointed in margaritaville!!

My stay was great. I enjoyed everything about the hotel and will stay at it again. In particular, Nikki, who works during the night shift was tremendously helpful. The Internet was down, so the hotel wasn’t able to check me in at around 1am. Nikki was able to help me get into my room quickly and I was able to finish the check-in a few hours later. Her helpfulness and kindness reinforced my positive impressions of the hotel. I will definitely stay at the hotel the next time I am in Jacksonville.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved how there was a restaurant and bar onsite. There were a lot of other options around the hotel in walking distance. Metro dining for breakfast, starbucks, Publix and. Other restaurants are about half a mile away. Definitely a do over for our family.

Delayed check in. After 430 before room was finally ready. Very nice room and view

Property was clean and convenient to beach and restaurants: the staff need a lesson on customer service. Restaurant appeared very unstaffed and staff were outright rude and overwhelmed: for the price, no simple amenities like you would find in other hotels for less money. Overall would no stay here again.

We had an excellent stay here. It was right on the beach, hotel was well maintained and clean. Staff were all cheerful and helpful. Walkable to great restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay there again if back in the area.

Fun, themed hotel, in a great beach location!

The property itself is really nice, and if your room has an ocean view, it's amazing. To me, for the amounts you pay for the rooms, it's not justified by the amenities. There is no room service, No microwave in the room, and the restaurant/bar closes early. If you only care about the oceanfront or ocean views, then this is a great place, but if you want to relax and be pampered, you can skip this one. There are other resorts that have more to offer. I did enjoy Karaoke night!!!

The hotel is very clean, beds are comfy, oceanfront hotel, plenty to do at this hotel, the Landmark restaurant is delicious. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel was OK. The service in the restaurant was non-existent. We waited foe over 20 minutes and never even had a server introduce themselves, much less take an order or drink order. The restaurant experience pretty much ruined the trip. It seemed like others in the restaurant were also having crappy service experiences. One guy came up to the front desk to complain as we were being seated.

We had so much fun here for our overnight stay. View is beautiful. Enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. Room was very clean. Staff is very kind and helpful.

Very clean, well decorated. Limited menu, however, food was excellent.

We loved the hotel and our room! The only thing that would make it better would be a breakfast area that opens early...The little area that makes a few sandwiches and coffees sufficed though.
