Prettig verblijf gehad, alleen voor een overnachting. Voldoende horeca in de buurt voor hapje en drankje. Ontbijten ook bij een leuk restaurantje in de buurt. Parkeer garage onder het hotel, ingang net voor het hotel, en als je er voorbij ben gereden kun je nog direct rechts voor de andere ingang ;) Wij hadden de junior suite, op de zesde verdieping. Hotel ligt aan een drukke weg, maar voor ons geen probleem.

Mooi hotel met (betaalde € 15 per nacht) ondergrondse parkeergarage. Lift vanuit de parkeergarage brengt je meteen naar de etage. Hotel ligt t.o.v. het hart van het winkelcentrum. Wanneer je aan de kant v.d. weg slaapt is het wel behoorlijk lawaaiig. Aan de andere kant v.h. hotel is het rustig maar dan moet je daar ook een supplement voor betalen.

Hotel liegt zum Stadtzentrum sehr gut 10 Minuten jede Menge Restaurants ( meist Döner oder arabisch ). Tiefgarage im Hotel sehr günstig für eine Großstadt. Als Gast für 24 Stunden 25 Euro. Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Gerne wieder

Einziges Manko war das die Seifenspender im Bad nicht aufgefüllt wurden und es etwas mühsam war da noch was raus zu bekommen. Ansonsten alles top.

Wir haben leider ein Zimmer mit Verbindungstür bekommen, was wir nicht wussten. Um 3:39 Uhr Nachts kamen die Gäste des Nachbarzimmers wieder und wir waren hell wach. Es wurde so laut gesprochen nebenan und diese Verbindungstür ist so schlecht isoliert, das wir ab da wach waren. Alle Flaschen im (Seife!!!! ect.) waren leer und der Fernseher hatte ein sehr sehr schlechtes Bild und ließ sich nicht umschalten. Schade insgesamt...

For starters, this hotel is overpriced, outdated, and unappealing to the eye. My room was right at the Main Street so we heard ambulance and traffic throughout the night. It smelled old as if years ago it was a smokers room. The beds are hard and the sofa sleeper is a hazard for children. The furniture and television are outdated and the bathroom had a window that looks into the bedroom hall and though clean, it was also outdated. The pictures on hotels.com did not match what I got. Though there was parking, it was very tight to maneuver but doable. Our room was also right by the elevator so we heard people come and go. For the money we paid, I am dissatisfied with the appearance and quality of my stay. I have stayed in better for less which made my expectations high for the Marriott. Had I saw the updated photos on hotels.com and the prices matched that value, I would have no complaints but this is total opposite. If I could have cancelled my room without penalty, I would have. I expected more from hotels.com and will be cautious to book on the site again.

Lucked out on our room. Literally one of the largest suites I think I have ever stayed in. Huge. A little dated, however clean and comfortable. Staff were great. Enjoyed our brief stay.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was good although of the two days I had breakfast I was only asked once for my room number to confirm I'd paid for it. I could have had it for free on the first day. I liked the option of getting a voucher at the bar if I opted not to have my room cleaned. About a 10 min walk to the university and about 15 mins from the station so a good location for me. I would certainly return here when visiting Essen again.

Nice getaway for NYE. Neighbourhood is a bit shabby and it did not feel nice to walk around with the family after dark. Hotel, we had the executive suite, is excellent. Very spacious suite. Nice beds. Breakfast was just okay. Bread was a bit dry (maybe not freshly baked because of New Year?)

Schön renoviertes Zimmer mit sehr bequemen Bett und interessanter Innenarchitektur. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Innen ist das Hotel prima, der Service freundlich. Leider hörte man den Verkehr draußen von der Hauptverkehrsstraße. Übrigens kann man einige Restaurants in ca. 10 Minuten Fußweg erreichen, was toll ist und eine U-Bahn Station ist direkt dort.

Sehr zentral gelegen. Verbindung mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist 200m entfernt Personal sehr nett. Zimmer ausreichend groß und gemütlich. Sehr sauber überall. Der einzige Nachteil ist die sehr laute Straße bei offenem Fenster. Zimmer nach hinten kostet 10,- €Aufschlag, was sich aber letzlich lohnt.

Sauberes und großes Zimmer (Suite). Leider war der Rollo am "Bandfenster" defekt. Leider waren für die Kaffeekapsel-Maschine keine Kapseln vorhanden. Sehr gutes Frühstück, viel Auswahl und es wurde immer wieder nachgefüllt. Was ich richtig gut fand, es gab Filterkaffee und nicht nur Automatenkaffee.

Very professionel service - we came at a busy time, but the receptionist was Quick and very fast. The rooms were cosy and central location with nice restaurants and different things close. If u have an electric car there’s charging right outside the hotel on the other side of the Road (cheaper that the hotel) with 4 hours free parking.

the breakfast was not special. There was a lot of noise a group of children ran early in the mornings at 7:00 and then at night until 01:00 in the corridor and screamed and made a lot of anarchy. I spoke to the staff at the reception one morning and complained but he was inconsiderate and replied that the rules in Germany are between 22:00 and 06:00 people can move freely and I replied in their homes but not in the hotels where you pay for your stay to have peace and quiet. and later during the night at 01:00 when it was so noisy I spoke to another person at the reception who was more understanding and he followed up with me and spoke to the person in charge of the children.As for the blankets they were so small that it barely fits for small children we were almost uncovered during the nights and you could not get heat from the elements which was bad. unfortunately the service was worse now than before.
