WoodSpring Suites Indianapolis Airport South

First time with this brand and we liked it. We weren’t aware that it was for long term stays so we were a bit surprised to find not only no breakfast, which we knew from ad, but also no ice machine on the property. Could have used an extra blanket, towel and pillow but it wasn’t worth asking. Brought my own in from the car. Everything was sparkling clean and in good shape but that ice machine business just left me with a sour taste. Great for longer stays, probably not again for just an overnight stop.

I thought I had a room booked for two double beds, but it was a bed and a sofa pull-out. No biggie I suppose. Odd though that it didn’t come with pillows or blankets. It was just a quick night’s sleep. Wouldn’t pay nearly $100 again to do that though. No pool or breakfast. Should’ve checked that first beforehand. Nice updates inside the rooms though and lots of hanging/storage spots.

The fire alarm went off almost every single night or early in the morning before the sun had even risen. The toilet had a seat but no lid (gross). People living there with their kids, so lots of noise. And the freezer in my room didn't work well enough to keep ice cream from melting. The staff was friendly, and the laundry room was surprisingly clean, inexpensive, and all the machines worked. Room was clean upon arrival, but nobody ever came to clean the room despite them telling me it would be done once a week. The full size fridge and close proximity to stores were nice, but all in all, I wouldn't recommend this property.

Clean facility. Easily accessible from highways. Ample parking. Felt safe. Can get noisy at night. Coffee can be better.

I liked that the hotel was directly off the expressway and that there was a gas station and dollar tree in walking distance. This is the first hotel i ever been to that didn’t have a ice machine on the premise or an iron board/iron in the room. My overall stay for the one night was good so I have no complaints.

I liked how quiet and clean it was. I would have liked an ice machine. You have to make your own ice and that would take longer than our stay.

The property has its own laundry facilities which is very convenient for my family and I.. clean room , nice welcoming staff.. front desk manager Rachel was great.. But once inside of the room, microwave didnt work, got in the shower and the handle fell on my feet.. afterwards the toilet wouldn't flush.. After complaints to the front desk, they quickly gave me another room and everything was perfect.. most definitely give it a 3 in a half star..

Dog next to us wouldn’t stop barking and smelled like wet dog all thru out the hallway. Fridge and freezer were broken so our food went bad. Didn’t even cool. Walls were paper thin. No breakfast or any sort of food available besides snacks and no ice machine. Really disappointed. Told front desk about dog and no other rooms were available to move to.

This is an extended stay property. So it has a large refrigerator and hot plates built into the counter but it does not have breakfast. Good location to things but the immediate surrounding area is run down.

Like that we received the ground floor from as I messaged. I didn't like the bathroom floor was not swept out, bug feces in corners of bathroom toilet. No ice machine

Dirty and smells

we, a family of three were driving from the West to the East. During our long drive, we stopped 4 places to rest. This was our last stop and this place was the worst. And we had terrible bug bites while we were sleeping. the hallway was not a clan. Also, the pillow had a bad smell.

Our room had visible bed bugs on and in the beds. Bedding and mattresses were stained and overall room condition was terribly dirty. We live 4 hours away and choose to leave and drive home at 1am because it was so terrible.

Roaches in all rooms and bed bugs horrible

The room was dirty, hair on the bed, carpet was stained and not vacuum, toilet was dirty with stains on the inner rim of the toilet seat. Also there was hair in the bath drain.

The hotel looks great from the outside but inside the room it was not updated. The room appeared to be clean but there was a roach infestation.

The whole hotel had a terrible odor like stale cigarette smell. The beds moved way to eat and you couldn't lean against the wall without our moving. It was unfortunate that there were kids/ guests that were extremely loud above us and the quiet hours did not appear to be enforced. It was not a pleasant experience.

Rooms were not clean and was stinking and whole lot of smoke and dirty

When i first checked in my room, the bathroom facilities didnt work, so they moved me to another room, in that room it was so many roaches.. just totally gross.. i packed our things and left.. i would have stayed if it was clean around the building,in the building and the rooms.. the full kitchen was convenient, but was afraid to cook just in case roaches ended up in my food.. i dont recommend this stay for anyone.. Oh front desk staff Rachel was the only one nice and pleasant to speak with..

Was given room 318 at check in and was greeted by an infestation of cockroaches. They were EVERYWHERE! The worst part is that they knew about it because there was a sticky trap hanging halfway out behind the fridge with every square inch of it covered in dead roaches. Was told the room would be refunded but still waiting on that over a week later.

Traveling through Indianapolis this was an easy off I-70/I-465 Since I've never stayed at a residence hotel/motel I was surprised by the larger room, all the storage space and a full sized refrigerator. The room was sparsely decorated, which was fine. The bed was comfortable and the room was reasonably quiet considering it was at the junction of 2 highways and not far from an airport.

Very clean and nice kitchen in the room.

The room lighting was weird. Lack of low intensity lights (lamp, nitelight, etc. Door to room nearly impossible to secure when leaving (Had to slam really really hard to secure). TV remote quit working and replacement was broken also.

Early morning check-in and although I called onsite manager in advance to let them know I was checking in early in the morning, there was no one at the front desk and we had to wait nearly 30 minutes just to get checked in. There was no blackout curtains in the room so it was difficult to sleep.

The room was sparce but very clean. The pillows (only 2 total) were very thin and not comfortable and the bath towels were very thin and old.

The refrigerator in our room did not get cold and the microwave in my sister's room did not work. For the price it's not a place to stay for a night.

Room was had trash on Is counter top. Is dirty worst cloth in Bathroom. Not the quietest room. Room was next to stairs door people going out constantly it seemed. I four sixty five very close and very noisy. You get what you pay for. Very reasonable price.

Rooms were wonderful. There is not a lot of noise buffering between the floors…so at 4am…we could hear everything the people above us were saying and doing.

Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable. The chair in our room looked like a cat had scratched it up. The fridge did not work, the ac worked barely. When we first got in our room it reeked of what smelled like stale marijuana. It made my eyes water and burn. When we came back that night the smell was gone. .

The place was super clean both inside my room and outside of it. I even saw a less-than-respectful group really leave a mess and it was gone the next time I came through 15 min later. Staff was very nice and helpful. Great value for the price. A couple minor issues: No flat toilet seat cover. Weird. No black out curtains. It was never dark in my room. With all the lights around the property (by itself a very good thing), I doubt any room is ever dark if all the rooms just had slat blinds like mine did. For some reason the fire alarm has a flashing light that goes off every 15 seconds or so. Extremely annoying and unnecessary. I had to cover it or it would've kept me awake.

I arrived before midnight, but they released my reservation and gave it to someone else. I had just driven over 12 hours to get there, but they didn't care. I will NEVER book a reservation at WoodSpring Suites ANYWHERE!

Didn’t like that it is not staffed after 11 PM.

I'm disappointed by the experience this year at Woodspring Suites Indianapolis Airport South. I've been staying here for part of May for the last 3 years. The first year, the hotel seemed new. Then it started to degrade slightly, but this year it went downhill. It seemed like possibly there was a change of ownership and my theory is that the new owners were not ready to manage this property. There seem to be a lot more govt. sponsored tenants, and many of these tenants do not respect other people. When an associate checked in, they found they couldn't secure the door. There was SCREAMING at 11:30pm on the third floor and 4am on the first floor. Both warranted calling the police. The screaming on the 3rd floor happened every day throughout the day. Tenants like this need to be evicted right away. The garbage can out front was full for 4 days before it was emptied. They overbooked the hotel for the weekend. They said there were 47 people coming in that they wouldn't be able to accommodate. That is unacceptable. I understand this is a budget hotel, but no matter what price is being charged, it should include a clean, AVAILABLE room that is SAFE and secure. Sadly, we are forced to look elsewhere for future visits to this area because we can't afford to show up and be turned away. Accommodation guarantee is critical. It's sad to say that a franchised location in the CHOICE Hotel family is run this way. I did contact CHOICE hotel corporate and they opened up a case.

The after hour check in process did not work so I was locked out of the hotel and could not check in. The hotel phone number does not work either so staff are unreachable and unhelpful.

Very brief, relaxed stay ...the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I arrived at 6pm. I requested a room on the upper floor. I got room first floor. 20 min later, the persons right above me were pounding on the walls and very noisey. I called right away to be moved . 25 min later after talking to person on duty who said they would look into it, nothing happened. I called again, got a voice mail. I left a frustrated message saying i needed a different room. A few min later, person on duty came to my door. Asked me if i called ?! I said again, i need a different room now . He offered rooms on first floor.No, i said i needed a room on higher floor. He said it might not be possible. I said im packed up , i have been up since 3am to catch my flight here. Im tired and need a different room Now please. At 730p, i was settling in my new room on 2nd floor.Took 90 min and 2 phone calls to resolve my situation, totally unacceptable.

The Woodspring Suites was not ready for guests. They were short-staffed, changing out long-term tenants, a crowded lobby and did not have clean rooms. The desk clerk was honest and precise and said they would not have rooms for reserved guests and we should find other accommodations. I hope you can refund or cover the cost of my replacement reservation.

Property out of basic necessities, like Toilet paper, sampoo, etc. Staff not able to help as management has not provided them the supplies. Someone pulled fire alarm in middle of night as they could not eneter the building. Property not staffed after 11 pm.

Traveled with family and it was a good stay. Room was clean, the guests were very respectful, just regular noise for people coming and going. Staff is very friendly in both shifts. Gas station and dollar tree on almost same parking lot. Very convenient.

Really really noisy with traffic

Likes: very convenient to airport; gas station next door; composite flooring in room, clean Not as good: very small lobby; was unattended when I arrived at a little after 7 pm. Waited 5-10 minutes for someone to appear. Attendant very polite after arriving. A little more people noise (Friday night) than sometimes, but was never very loud and quieted down at a reasonable hour.

Didn't even have any hair dryer in the room and breakfast offering but everything else was great!

The ladies at the desk are very nice. The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t have anything like a toaster or a few things in the kitchen we could use like Candlewood Suites. The washing machines and dryers are also free at Candlewood. But overall it’s a nice pleasant place.

It was convenient to the airport. No breakfast included. Front desk closed and locked up all night long.
