AC Hotel by Marriott Maui Wailea

Very nice hotel with clean rooms and great location. Would stay again.

Would give 3.5 stars if I could add a half star. This is one of the newer resorts in Wailea I think. A little further up from the beach but still very close so that shouldn't be a deterrent. Staff were excellent which is the bulk of the 3.5 stars and the pool area is quite beautiful. However- the restaurant is terrible. Ate there multiple times due to no other options because of the Kona storm. Minimal effort, the food is BAD (except the fries, those are great!). Overpriced. At one point I ordered a chicken caesar salad- I got a salad but certainly not that. A pile of lettuce, parmesan shards from a shaker, and a small pile of teriyaki chicken, slightly overcooked. Bizarre. No room service which is disappointing but they have a mobile pick-up service where they put your food in take-out containers and you get it at the front desk. Not much else in terms of amenities. The hotel itself is crazy overpriced for what you get- if they reduced the rooms a little then it would be more understandable. But the staff really are excellent which is the saving grace.

Excellent ocean views from the pool and bar area. Very comfortable sitting around the pool or bar. Very good staff who are always paying attention to you.

Clean, quiet, pleasant views.
