AC Hotel by Marriott Scottsdale North

Was unaware of the $20 nightly parking fee when I made the reservation

Brand new building and rooms. Bar closes too soon.

Comfy beds, clean rooms, nice lobby & great location! Pool is small, sitting area around pool is tight. Not sure why they would put a pool on the north side of the building.

Overall we liked the property especially its location, but hotel needs to heat the pool because it’s too cold to use.

Why don’t you advertise the $25 parking fee when you book. Was not a fan of the mattress. Overall it was an ok stal

Housekeeping every other day. Extra charge for everything including parking. Expensive for what it offers. Very little staff.

Close to restaurants and shopping. Bartender was very friendly and fun

We staycationed here for our son’s 21st birthday over Labor Day weekend. We were able to check in 5 hours early and everything we wanted to do was walking distance! Clean, quiet, friendly staff, super nice pool and lounge area. The beds were fantastic.

This is a great property and it’s in a great location. The staff are terrific and it was very clean and quiet. The only drawback is because their pool is situated where it is most of the time it’s in the shade, which is not ideal.

I didn’t like paying for parking but it was nice, clean, & comfortable. Very professional environment

Room never cooled to set temp. We had no housekeeping during our 2 night stay. Very disappointing. Nice, newer hotel and great location but the lack of housekeeping and warm room would prevent me from ever booking here again.

We had a very nice time, we had left another hotel due to its sub par accommodations. The service person at the desk was so accomodating and got us in our hotel room well before check in time which was so nice. Our only problem was that the housekeeping never came in the four days that we stayed. We never had new towels, or clean glasses or beds being made. Also, the continental buffet was substantial on the weekend, but as the week days progressed, we felt like the food became more sparse and they kept running out of coffee and egg bake which was the main choice of the buffet. We ordered off the main menu twice and both times the order was given to us incorrectly.

The air conditioner was rattling when I walked in the door, had to call service immediately because it was so loud. They came in and literally taped some cardboard to the side of the unit. But they were prepared for it, which means it happens often. Even so, it was still incredibly loud every time it turned on. My toilet also wouldn't flush, and the seat was broken. After several calls, they came to fix the toilet. The biggest issue was the temperature of the room. I understand they want to lock the thermostat to achieve eco-friendliness, but it wouldn't go below 68. And when set at 68, the room cycles up to 71 before it comes back on to bring it back down to 68. There were 4 of us in 4 separate rooms and every single one of us woke up multiple times during the night sweating. The walls/floors/ceilings are also paper-thin, meaning you can hear every word from the couple in the next room, and when someone in the room above you wakes up at 5:30 in the morning, that's when you're getting up too. In short, the bare minimum you would expect from a hotel room (much less one at this price point) is to be able to get some sleep. Over 3 nights, none of us got much of that.

Everything was excellent, people and faculty. Do note that there is very little space to hang clothes, and no microwaves in room or common area.

We enjoyed the lobby area, nicely furnished and a great assortment of reading material. Clean and bright space. Breakfast very reasonably priced and good choices. I found room a little bit loud with traffic. Overall an easy stay, close to a great street of pretty shops and restaurants.

Great place to stay, but the walls are a little thin and you can hear others in their room. I also felt like we shouldn’t have to pay to park there.

This property was clean, the staff was amazing, the pool was comfortable, the bartender was wonderful. I’ll definitely book again. The Mountain View was beautiful.

FAIRLY NICE BUSINESS HOTEL WITH ULTRA DIALED BACK ROOM AND BATH. IT WAS SPACIOUS AND THE VIEW FROM FLOOR 5 WAS GREAT. THE BATHROOM HAD NO DOOR BUT A SLIDING GLASS PANEL THAT GAVE LITTLE PRIVACY AND WAS VERY HEAVY TO MOVE. THE BED WAS TERRIBLE AND THE A/C RATTLED AND BANGED ALL THE TIME. I WOULDN'T EVER RETURN DUE TO TERRIBLE SLEEPING SITUATION.

AC Hotel Marriott was in a great location for tourists. Several shops and restaurants were across the street within a 2 minute walk. The location was beautiful and safe. A 10 minute drive north gives you several more excellent dining and shopping choices. A visit to the Musical Instruments Museum is a must! The room and bathroom were very spacious. Great staff and service!

We had a very welcoming check-in by Ryan! She was so thoughtful and even added my Marriot points to the Expedia reservation, I didn’t even know that was an option as many times as we’ve stayed here! Ryan is a great addition to your hotel.

Great friendly staff Outstanding housekeeping Wonderful location

Hotel was lovely but we had no hot water. They definitely weren’t the most accommodating. I am a gold member of Hotels.com and always appreciate the support and they were a pleasure dealing with after the fact the manager in the hotel were not.

The front desk staff was very good. The room felt very stripped down. Very industrial. I really dislike getting out of a bed and stepping on a cold floor (vinyl planking). The shower was the nicest part of the hotel. The walls were all dinged up from suitcases being set on the “benches” in the room. Pillows were super hard. The worst part was the treatment we received from the breakfast staff. It was not clear this was a pay breakfast. We entered the area and saw a very limited breakfast bar. There were five danishes, four yogurts (which were warm), some sliced meats and sliced cheese (also warm). Oatmeal that looked congealed. Coffee. Water but the glasses were filthy. Three ladies were in the area and we thought they were there servicing the buffet. They never approached us after being in there for five minutes. We got our danish and warm yogurt and went to a table to eat. I needed to take medication and went up to get a clean glass. While waiting to speak to a lady I heard them say they could charge a la carte. I looked up and saw a very small sign that said the self serve breakfast bar was $18.99 per person. I was appalled this buffet would cost $18.99 as it was severely lacking. I stood there waiting to be helped as I didn’t want to interrupt the ladies. Then all three just stood there ignoring me. I finally got their attention. Nanette finally came by to try to fix things. Overall very frustrating. It was the last thing we experienced there. Bad taste in our mouth.

Hotel is modern, clean and convenient for walking around to shops and restaurants. Staff are super friendly.

The hydration filter was broken on all floors. When I informed the front desk about it, she told me some floors have it and the gym does too. All floors had it broken, except the gym because it didn't connect to the central line. It was very inconvenient for me to look through all floors and then have to come downstairs to the gym. The air conditioning wasn't working properly in my room and it was quite hot. The front desk receptionists weren't friendly or helpful. The environment did not feel welcoming.

Hard to find hotels that are walking distance in Scottsdale. It’s literally 4 min walk to Kierland Commands and the Quarter. Near shops like Malbon, Wilson, Alo, Lululemon and more. Walking distance from steakhouses like Dominic’s or even fast food like shake shack. Drivable distance from old town and most golf courses. I’m staying here again for sure

For the price it’s not too bad. We like the amenities and the convenience. Staff is decent and friendly. Breakfast was pretty delicious!

The front desk staff, and particularly the bar tender on Saturday evening (7-9pm) were very thoughtful and friendly. The bar tender was the only person working and she was doing amazing, communicating with everyone, and not skipping a beat.

Everything was wonderful except it was a Monday & the kitchen was closed all day. Not ideal when traveling with kids.
