Staff was friendly and welcoming, although helpless to deal with certain situations. The outdoor pool was "temporarily closed", a dangerously broken chair in the room took almost 12 hours to replace, the Wi-Fi did not work 75% of the time. There were ice machines on every floor, none of which were working. It felt like they were getting ready to close the hotel down…

The elevator did not have a light inside so you rode in total darkness! NOT SAFE! Stairs were not an option. I was on the 4th floor and unable to climb stairs.

I booked a hotel with a pool. I asked upon arrival - she said I could go in tomorrow (it was closed for the evening) but it would be cold. Heater hasn’t worked for quite some time. I BOOKED A HOTEL WITH A POOL! I forgot a bag in the car so I go out to get it and try to come back in - door handle is completely gone! No access using side door - now I gotta walk all the way to the main doors. I tell the lady, show her a pic. “Oh, yeah - we’ve been having trouble with that. Needs to be fixed”. I said “That’s strike 2!” Then she asked “What is strike 3?” Really?!? Very poor customer service @ front desk.

No remote for tv in room. Bathroom door was very hard to open. Handle on outside kept coming off at the top. Shower door kept coming open. Ice machine out ofservice and wasnt going to be fixed till monday pool closed also. Have stayed before rooms nice service is good. Just got bad room i hope!

Lots of chipped plaster off walls, some electrical outlets not covered in hallways, no light in elevator (they did have a sign saying it was out), only 2 towels in a 4 person room, ice machine on floor wasn't powered up

I had stayed a month ago and the heater to indoor pool had broken it's now been 2 months that I'm just aware of and still broken that was my main reason for picking that hotel wAs for the indoor pool the ice machines was broken and had to go to another motel near there to get ice they used have drinks and snacks at front desk but last few times Ive stayed there they didn't have them or no machines to get drinks or snacks no towels in room no hot water just barely Luke warm for shower room was clean refrigerator didn't hardly get cold my rating on room/hotel is 👎

The pool was closed and none of the ice machines on any of the floors were working. That said, it was the most economical hotel out of all the locations that wasn’t seedy. Staff was friendly and the room was well kept. They also had a laundry room and a fitness center that was decent. Not sure if I’d stay there again, but not adverse to staying there, either.

No ice machine the only one they have is on the first floor and broken ..the pool.was out of service both days ....no vending machines ....walls in hallways beaten up by luggage carts ...shower heads a direct hard stream and would not adjust...breakfast buffet good but no bacon or sausage or fruit ....overall mediocre lodging

I booked one night with husband and dog inspite of poor reviews about odor in the elevators. I mistakenly thought they’d give us a ground floor due to traveling with a dog. We were on the 2nd floor. The carpet in the room had a good amount of dog hair on it but I couldn’t be sure it didn’t come from our dog so I didn’t complain. After traveling for 11 hours all we wanted was to go to bed. Exterior door handles were broken. Capet was badly stained. I’m always skeptical about a pet friendly room that has carpet. The indescribable stench in the elevators was so bad even my dog refused to get in No 1 elevator. Do yourself a favor. There are many motels in the area. Stay somewhere else! On a positive note, the bathroom was clean and bed was comfortable.

Arrived at this property and checked in, was told since I paid through Orbitz there would be no charge. A couple minutes later she said she needed my card on file for incidentals, by the time I made it upstairs to my dirty room, my card had been charged for a nights stay. Upon entering the room, we found dirty sheets/blankets, hairs in the bed and bathroom shower and floor, the bed skirts and comforters were so dirty you could tell they had not been washed in months. There was liquid dripping off the walls behind the toilet that had not been cleaned throughly either. The floors were covered in crumbs and hair, I can’t imagine it had been vacuumed. The lady working the front desk offered to move us to another room, while standing in line a guest behind me said not to move to that room either and proceeded to show me picture of the cleanliness of the room she was attempting to move us to. As of now there has been no resolve on the issue. Absolutely disgusting!

Room was not clean. Floor didn’t look like it had been properly vacuumed. There was hair found on the chairs and the in shower (it wasn’t ours). From 12:30pm-4:45 there were doors slamming, people yelling, furniture moving and loud music.

When we first checked in, we were given a room with two full beds when we had reserved a double queen room. When we arrived in the room, there was dog hair all over the beds, there was a massive stain on the comforter and there small bugs crawling around on the dresser and on the bed (they were not bed bugs). In addition, when we pulled the sheets down on one of the beds, there was a stain the size of my entire fist at the top of the comforter. We were given a new room upon request and we still were not given a room with queen sized beds. The room only came with 2 towels when we had a 4 person reservation and when we asked the front desk for additional towels in the morning, there were none available. We will never be staying at this hotel again.

Shower stall had hairs on wall we had to rinse it before showering. The shower head had 6 strings of water coming out, laughable. Pillow cases had hairs all over and we had to clean it with a cloth. There were droplet stains on bathroom floors and wall near toilet. Just gross. We only stayed one night because we couldn’t tolerate a second. Wall on top of breakfast area was piled up with dust, pool area glass window was so dirty you could barely see through it. The whole place was very unclean. When I checked out and told we weren’t staying a second night there was absolute no interest from staff in learning why we weren’t staying, no care at all.

Seemless check in. The room is modern and updated. The most important part of the hotel, in my opinion, is the bed. This bed was very comfortable. The pillow was decent, as well. It wasn't one of those puff balls that a lot of hotels have that give your neck no support. The breakfast bar was the typical of what you will find. Overall good two night stay.

While the hotel was a decent place to stay, the hotel backs up to Interstate 81, so all night you heard trucks going by. It might be different on the other side of the hotel, so if staying, ask for a front room.

There was no water pressure in the shower, the sheets smelled weird, and the hotel is too close to the interstate. If your room happens to be on the interstate side, it is noisy. Will not stay here again.

It's a nice hotel with comfortable beds, but it is right on 81 and they clearly did not invest in heavy duty glass. The traffic noise from passing trucks all night long was appalling.

I waited in line for an hour to check in to this dirty old run down hotel and ultimately left. I prepaid 581.00 for this over priced dump. The management is rude and they are understaffed. The pictures show a clean new looking hotel. It is not.

They charged me 3x for the same stay after their reservation systems kept having problems. They sent guests into our locked room at 1am even though we were already checked in. The same thing happened again the next day. They wanted my information again each time and assured me I wouldn't be charged again. No such luck. Charged 3x and both hotel phone numbers do not work and Wingate customer service sends you to a number that doesn't work. Avoid at all costs.

I wish I remembered the girls name now, but she worked the dayshift. She’d only been there two weeks. We had a couple small issues with the room and she was on top of it in a matter of minutes. She had the perfect attitude for weary travelers.

Our experience was unfortunately awful. The employees were very helpful and polite. But the room experience really made our visit difficult. We first checked into our room and unpacked. The room was getting warm so we went to turn on the a/c and the unit did not work. I went downstairs and they had to move us to a different room, so everything that we just finished unpacking we had to move to a new room with a working a/c. We left the room for the day and when we came back we put on the a/c and after about a half hour the a/c unit stopped working. We had to move all of our stuff again into another room. Ever time we moved the staff was very helpful, but we had to move 3 different times, which really sucked. Unfortunately, I would never go back. I already started looking for other hotels in the area for our next trip.

This was the worse stay ever. 1st room fridge leaking and 2nd room although clean no breakfast the next morning. No one kept up with refilling only 35 minutes into the breakfast. Key did not work every time I left the room. One of the times the front desk not available for 15 minutes. Homeless people living in the parking lot in the back of hotel. This was the worse experience in any hotel I have stayed in. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Out check in manager was very helpful! She was the only one working and was very busy but she took it all in stride and handled it extremely well! She deserves a raise!!!

While the hotel was a decent place to stay, the hotel backs up to Interstate 81, so all night you heard trucks going by. It might be different on the other side of the hotel, so if staying, ask for a front room.

There was no water pressure in the shower, the sheets smelled weird, and the hotel is too close to the interstate. If your room happens to be on the interstate side, it is noisy. Will not stay here again.

The price for one room for two nights is absolutely ridiculous for what you got. The breakfast was terrible and they did not replenish anything and nobody was ever at the front desk. Very disappointing.

This was a great spot to stop after driving for 12 hours on our way back home. Check in was a breeze and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was great too-love the waffles!! We would definitely stay here again!

Room and bathroom is large. We have to ask for shampoo after checking. The car noise from I81 can be heard in room. It take forever to get elevator. Breakfast is total emptied at 8:30 AM, while it supposed to be served until 9:30. The manager told me they are making more while the server said they don't have anymore. It is not worth to spend the money here just to sleep, its not cheap.

Reception service at the check in was great. But breakfast was the worst I ever saw traveling. No milk, no creal, no bakery like toast, bagel, muffins, etc. No drinking water. Only available waffle machine and bater, scramble eggs, sausage, black coffee, Few 4oz cartons of yogurt, apple sauce, orange and apple juice Yuck.

The Breakfast was not very good. They were running out of food and no one was restocking it. No water at breakfast, hot or cold water. Did not give out enough towels and had to go ask for more. The property is being updated so it will likely be nicer when it is finished. Unfortunately, there was very little breakfast for the guests. The hotel was understaffed and unprepared for the heavy traffic during a college move in....Unacceptable for paying close to $300 for a room.

The hotel is under renovations, so everything is not complete. What was there was clean. Room was clean and comfortable. But we had one small set of towels for our rooms. Breakfast was not well stocked for the number of guests. Would still recommend for the price and proximity to VTech.

Looks like the place is in the midst of a remodel. Light was out in our bathroom but the mirror had a backlight, so we got by with that. Breakfast ran out of food an hour before it officially ended so be sure to get there early. We ended up going to McDonalds for breakfast as our teenagers were not going to last on the remaining muffins we found when we go there. There was still dry cereal but no milk.
