Casa Paloma: Classic Mission Hills + Enchanting Courtyard Close to EVERYTHING

Loved Casa Paloma! Visited San Diego with another couple and son for a fishing trip. This property was perfect for us! Murphy bed in living room looked like a cabinet when not in use. Property was so peaceful, relaxing, clean, and has all the convenient amenities- LOVE the Method shower soap and hand soap ( great shampoo and cream rinse too.) I have allergies to many things - and cleaning products - but not at Casa Paloma! This place smelled fresh, clean with NO FLORAL AROMAS that typically are used in rentals! Which was a HUGE bonus for me. Back patio was fabulous for afternoon cocktails. Only caveats - master bedroom king bed is VERY firm and parking can be a bit challenging. We were able to park down the street from the unit since there is no onsite parking. Casa Paloma is in a great location! Close to Little Italy, airport (though very quiet) and Seaport Village was a short drive. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful property inside and outside. Easy walking distance to restaurants and easy driving distance to Balboa Park and Coronado Island. Would definitely stay here again!

We were thrilled with everything about Casa Paloma and would absolutely stay there again. Having stayed in many VRBOs over the years, this one stands out. Traveling in our group were two parents with their two children in their 20s.The furniture was clean, comfortable and fitting for the space, both indoors and outdoors. The beds were very comfortable, which is not always the case. We enjoyed the living room as well as the small outdoor courtyard. It was delightful seeing the hummingbirds enjoying the vegetation.We love to cook in and the kitchen had everything we needed, both in terms of what was available and the quality of it. One of the reasons we use VRBO is so we don't have to eat out for every meal, so a good kitchen is important to us.This quiet, pretty neighborhood was also within easy walking distance of great restaurants and shops, and a 15-minute drive to many of the fun things to do around San Francisco. Even the info provided about things to do was terrific and helped us prioritize our days here.Communication with the hosts was easy and pleasant.

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks, and it was a lovely experience from start to finish. The house is charming, it really is close to attractions & restaurants, and the courtyard really is enchanting! (A gurgling Spanish-style fountain and hummingbirds flitting about put it over the top!) The very thoughtful hosts (great guidebook in house) were both proactive and responsive. Street parking was available close to, if not in front of, the house, except for one night when someone was having a party. Even then, it was a short walk away. I had worried about airplane noise given the proximity to the airport, but it was only loud one day when the wind shifted. (The main airport has a curfew; no flights in or out after 11:30pm or before 6:30am, we heard from a tour guide.) We hope to return!

We love Casa Paloma. The home is so comfortable just perfect for the two of us. Paula, the owner was very welcoming and helpful. We want to stay in this lovely home every time we visit San Diego.
