Millburn Apartment

The outside areas area was a bit creepy but the apartment was excellent.

Very nice appartment, tidy and well equipped. Situated close to town centre (10-15min walking) and about 40min from airport. Convenient transfer directly from/to airport by local bus (bus stop 5min within walking distance to accomodation). Friendly and approachable host. Place highly recommended to stay. Inverness and area nearby including Loch Ness - beautiful and worth visiting. Looking forward to return in the future. Thank you for hosting us!

No bells and whistles, but close to downtown and the highway.

Upon arrival, the apartment smelled, rancid. We then noticed black mold was prevalent throughout space. It was in the ceiling corners of the bedrooms, as well as behind the beds in the bedrooms. The bathroom

Hmm. Where do I start with this place? I didn’t receive an email prior to arriving with directions or the lock box key code. Going off the Expedia info the cab driver took us to the wrong place. Google doesn’t recognize the address and defaults to a property down the road. Having never been there and left at the wrong location I was able to get a message to the host who then gave us the code. Somehow the code worked at the wrong location. After a few more messages and a phone call we realized we were in the wrong place. A 5 min walk up the road we finally found it. No outside light for the lock box. The place is grungy on the outside and I’d wished we’d booked at the neighbouring Christen Hotel. Upon entering, the apartment smells musty and mouldy. It was late by the time we finally got in so we were all off to bed. Our bed was damp. The whole place felt damp. It’s a well set up place but it’s quite small. Especially if you are from North America. Tiny kitchen, tiny living and dining area. There are gross throw rugs everywhere. The furniture is tired. The beds are lump and terribly uncomfortable. The 3rd bed is a futon that dubs as a couch and it’s low and terrible to get on and off of if you are above the age of 30. The kitchen has basics, all the dishes are chipped. There is a washing machine, no dryer. The chairs for the table are folding chairs. Very uncomfortable and not sturdy. Overall we found this to be in a nice location, but it fell short of the photos.
