B&B HOTEL Orlando International Drive near Universal - Newly Renovated!

After making the booking i was informed the pool and restaurant were closed. It should have said so before I booked. Upon arrival I saw that there was a total renovation going on with workers and dust everywhere. I asked if there was any coffee available-No, I asked where the ice machine was- we don't have one it was removed for the renovation. When I got to my room, which was neat and tidy, there was no chair to sit on at the desk so i had to go back to reception and ask him for one, he was very helpful and fetched one from another room. After I had finished working i went to get a shower-the valve was broken and partially removed so i couldn't have a shower. I then went to wash my face - there was no hot water. I thought i would sit outside and take in the evening sunshine with a cocktail, after id had to drive to 7/11 for ice. There were no chairs outside anywhere on the property so i went back to my room to watch some TV- that didn't work either just a frozen pixelated screen. All in all this was the worst hotel visit i have experienced in over 50 years of travel in many countries around the world including the third world. That hotel should not have even been selling rooms at this time and i feel as though i was scammed. I am going to apply for a refund

The entire hotel is under construction, the rooms are dirty and full of cockroaches. The toilet overflowed when we flushed it. The bed was full of bedbugs. There was no staff in the lobby when we arrived. The pool, restaurant, and gym were closed. We had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night and go somewhere else. They should close it down.

This property is a complete disaster—avoid it at all costs. It’s under major renovation, yet they’re still renting out a small, outdated portion. They should shut it down until it's finished. Construction makes it loud and filthy. The units are old, with rock-hard beds and stained bedding. Security gates don’t lock. The pool, hot tub, and clubhouse are all out of service—so there are zero amenities. Yet, they shamelessly charge a "resort fee." The staff is incompetent and unethical. I extended my stay for a few hours due to an afternoon flight after a sleepless night. While I was out, staff entered my room without reason, rifled through my belongings, and stole a brand-new $40 shirt. When I confronted them, they dismissed me as if I were imagining things. They're thieves preying on guests. To make it worse, their front desk is unreachable—they just let the phone ring. As I checked out, I saw them ignoring calls with no regard for guests. Other issues? No hangers, no bathmat, a broken toilet that doesn't flush, and damaged furniture. This place is a joke.

Pool closed. Restaurant closed. Hallways with cigarette odor. Ice machine broken.

When I arrived there were 2 bath towels in the room. No hand towels, bath mat or wash cloths. There was no ice bucket in the room and no drinking glass. I had to ask at the front desk for all of these things and I got the ice bucket, wash cloth and hand towel. One of each. There was a fitness center advertised and it had two items in it and was locked. So no fitness center.

Had lot of issues. 1. I was given the room for which key did not work. I had to walk from my room to frontdesk two times because even next time frontdesk guy mentioned its fixed but still did not work. Third time he came with me and still did not work and he said he can ask me to come with me everytime I want to come out of my room. Such an inconvenience for a family with a child. At that point I asked him to give me another room. 2. The other room I got had no hand soap at all. So O again had to go to frontdesk and he handed me a hand soap. 3. Their tv and phone did not work in the room. 4. Even though coffee maker was advertised in the room image, there was none in the room. Nor they have a free coffee at the hotel lobby. When asked they mentioned only coffee they have is through the paid breakfast of $12. 5. All their exit doors do not work with key to enter. So you have to walk all the way and always enter through front lobby to get to your room. Very inconvenient with the luggage. Because of all these reasons, we decided to do early checkout. Instead of 4 nights, we checked out in 2 nights. Before checkout, I confirmed with the front desk lady and she said they will refund me the 2 unused nights and will send me a receipt through email. Its been almost 2 weeks now and I still did not get refund. Their phones are unreachable and are not replying to email. I wish I could give a zero to them. Stay away from this hotel.

This has to be the worst place I have ever stayed at. It might not seem like it by the pictures but once you are there, the entire place is trash. The rooms are gross and falling apart. The pool is under construction. No phone in the room and had to walk to the front desk to ask for things. They don't have shuttle service and food. They have nothing really. Please don't book here. This place is garbage.

Location was amazing and staff was generally friendly. However, the room was the most terrible room I have ever stayed in - fleas on my bed, stained towels even after I requested for new clean ones, flooding in the room when I woke up. Overall musty smell and damp room, room in bad condition. But at least the bed was clean.

Dirty, the floor, towels, bathroom. In other words, everything. Including the pillows The ice machines don't work. The only good thing was the hot water. I'm not going to logging any more on this hotel

I was there for 3 days, in room 1118 there were some small cockroaches, in the bathroom, on the floor of the room. During this period the room was not cleaned... The hotel is excellent. I noticed that they are undergoing renovations, everything should be better.

Hotel is very dirty. Roach and other small insect infestation on furniture. Property was under renovation so the pool is closed, it was noisy from construction, and the internet was on and off due to the construction as well. Management and staff are aware of the infestation problem.

This hotel is uninhabitable. Half of it's closed for construction, and they are renting out the other half, which is falling apart, full of insects, old, dirty, smelly, the beds have two worn-out pillows, the towels are stained and full of small hair, old, and look overused, the refrigerator and microwave look like they haven't been maintained for years, the TV is also too old and has no working channels. In fact, everything in the room is disgusting and uncomfortable. It's incredible that they offer service in a place like this, at any price it's expensive.

This place has to be one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. The place was dirty. I found at least 5 different long black hairs on my bed sheets. ( I have blond hair) There was a spot of blood on my sheets. The bathrooms where so gross. It smelled like someone was smoking pot non stop when we walked down the hall to get to our room. It was just a horrible experience all together. we will not be staying at this hotel ever again.

Toilet bowl was not working, I went to the front desk. They had no one to come out to fix the toilet bowl issue. I asked for a bucket to be able to flush the toilet. A while later The smoke alarm kept beeping. They had no maintenance person available. They had no other room to put us in.

Was a very clean, nice renovated hotel. One complain is that the hotel is located not so far from the highway, so at night was a bit loud, but nothing too bad, unless you’re super noice sensitive then you should be fine

It was alright but the bathroom tub was cracked.

Dusty, moldy, wifi didn’t work at all, bathroom door didn’t close properly, the screen door that leads to the yard and pool was dirty and had things stuck to it, only had 2 towels, some outlets didn’t work

You get what you pay for. I just got it because I had to say one more night in Orlando due to fligh but the air conditioner didn't work was hot all night.

When I get there 1/10/2025 They gave me a room 1114 without hot water, toilet do not flush, the door you have to slam it to close it I have to cross to the Walgreens to use the bathroom and in the morning use the bathroom lobby, I tell the front desk my situation and they told they couldn’t accommodate me and my wife in other room, thank god we only stayed there for 2 days. Worst Hotel ever.

The rooms near the expressway are noisy

Front desk staff wasn’t good on this night very rude rooms weren’t working properly and front desk was not happy to assist and I also still haven’t gotten my deposit back this hotel needs work and new staff that understand customer service

Don’t stay here. It smells awful, dirty, and battling on getting my deposit back still. No one will answer the phone.

There were *3* cockroaches in my room. 😳☹️😠 There were crumbs on the coach/sofa and wrappers on the floor and behind the bed (that I pulled out to check for more bugs). The hotel charged me the $100 deposit THREE times including TWICE AFTER I flew back to the UK 🇬🇧 I reported this to Hotels.com who said they are unable to help me get this refunded?! ☹️😠 The hotel never answer the phone. My friend in Orlando has been phoning them regularly for 4 days to try to get their email address to sort out the UNAUTHORISED credit card charges. They do not do any kind of cleaning/bin emptying/ new towels/ change sheets during your stay due to COVID, erm it's 2024. $9 per night "resort fee" to cover amenities you don't use such as the pool.

It was excellent! The staff is always so nice & accommodating for me.

Impeccable customer service! I believe her name was Julia at the front desk when I checked into my 1-night stay. She was extremely nice and sweet considering my check-in was later in the day. The room was decently exceptional for what it was worth and for what I needed. I definitely recommend staying here if you're a simple person that doesn't need the top-notch amenities for a 1-2 night stay!

Fourth stay at this hotel. Definitely my Orlando home. Love the staff, the service, the location. Simple and affordable but everything you need! Love it for EDC Orlando! Staff accommodated my best friend and I as we wished and made us feel at home. The manager is a beautiful woman who is helpful and her staff are well trained. They will see me again soon

On Sept. 7th, I booked at the Floridian hotel for Sept.14-15 through Expedia. I guaranteed the room with my credit card, like I always do. The day of my arrival (Sept. 14th), my flight was delayed, so I called the hotel to inform that I will be arriving late. The person who took the call said he has my reservation, and that he was going to make a note to front desk regarding my late arrival. When I arrived to the hotel a little after midnight, the person in front desk told me that he was sorry, but they are sold out and he cannot give me any room for the night. I told him that I guaranteed the reservation with my credit card, but he said that there is nothing he can do. I tried to book in another hotel, but since it was after midnight, I could not do it with Expedia. I ended up staying up all night, waiting to attend the convention I had the next day. This is the first time I make a reservation and confirm with my credit card, but when I arrive, I don't get the room. I was notified by Expedia that I will get the guarantee back in my credit card because I was never given the room, but I was not a happy camper the next day, with no sleep the night before. Can the hotel overbook the rooms and keep us without a room in spite of the fact that we garenteed the room with our credit card? What compensation can I get for that terrible experience? Thank you.

Poor front desk service at check in

The front desk men were RUDE during check in and check out! Couldn't get extra towels (there was only 2 in the room) for the 4 of us. The pool was closed for the night but there were people/kids in it being extremely loud and woke us up.

Had a great stay. The staff was SUPER amazing. The complete hotel was undergoing remodeling, but i really enjoyed my stay there

It's close to everything

walking distance from food restaurants and 5 mins from universal studios super friendly and clean. The area felt safe for a hotel night on a budget.

This place seems like it would be kinda sketchy but we’ve stayed here twice and we’re happy both times. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms could use some updating but were workable and clean. The beds and linens are sooo comfortable. The other guests made me a little nervous at first but everyone I spoke to were kind and polite. It’s a great budget hotel and the front desk people are nice and efficient. It’s in a walkable area filled with places to eat. I will definitely stay again.

Very nice value for the money. We went to a concert at the Hard Rock. The hotel was a very short Uber to the venue. The room was fine. Not the most fancy, but it was clean and a decent place to stay. The room was very quiet. It had a microwave and refrigerator. The coffee in the lobby was empty. We would definitely stay here again.

i requested to stay in this hotel because i had an event on international drive saturday all day and in the pictures of the hotel, they put a picture of a place with breakfast and the hotel does not have breakfast, i went out and went to a restaurant to have a breakfast. the corridors were dirty, the room had several problems with damaged furniture and in the bathroom there was mold on the wall and the bathtub had standing water.

This property was horrible… we were charged 9.00 a day service fee and didnt provide breakfast or room service. When we asked for wash clothes it took 4 days b4 we got any. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the fact that they are 5 minutes from Universal Theme Park. We stayed here 4 years ago and they offered a great breakfast with make your own waffles and daily room service. So we booked it again expecting the same accommodations but unfortunately it is under different ownership and the services changed. With all the hotels that they have on international drive I will definitely be looking elsewhere the next time we travel to Florida.
