Heliotopos is a unique boutique hotel complex in the traditional dome style, with one or two storey suites and studio apartments. Built on the foundations of old island structures it has been constructed to reflect the beauty of Santorini's architecture. Located at the highest point of the crater-top (the rim of the Caldera) it offers an extraordinary, breathtaking view of the volcano, the sea and the surrounding islets from every point of the hotel.

Hotel très bien situé avec une vue magnifique, conforme à la description. Petit déjeuner de qualité fait maison. Stationnement facile dans les rues adjacentes. Tout le personnel est très aimable et très attentionné, toujours prêt à repondre aux demandes que l'on peut avoir.

Heliotopos was our favorite place we stayed on this trip. Wonderful setting in Imerovigli. Evelina very communicative and helpful with our stay. She gave us a fantastic rundown of all the places we might like to visit during our stay. Sunsets of course wonderful and can enjoy at the wine bar restaurant on site. Someone had a wedding one evening we were there. Can’t think of a more charming location. Loved our room which was nestled in a cave and even had a window into the wall at the back showing the rock’s signature during the eruption. We didn’t use the pool but it looked refreshing. Wonderful breakfast with cappuccino to boot. Can just sit on your balcony all day and soak it in. We look forward to staying there again.

It took us some time to find the hotel in the dark. But the off street parking was convenient. We loved the cave-house settings. The view from our suite to the ocean was incredibly beautiful especially the sunset. The walk in the surrounding area was very pleasant. The hotel staff was friendly. The food was good but pricy. We were charged with extra local tax even though we paid them via Expedia.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, we were welcomed by Joseph and one of the Eleni’s, the check-in process was seamless and efficient. The hotel has 10 rooms all facing the Caldera and was absolutely stunning. The complimentary breakfast was amazing annd changed everyday, the attention to detail was impressive, from the bar tender and server. But what really made my stay stand out was the exceptional service. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Whether it was recommending local restaurants, providing extra towels, or simply offering a smile and a kind word, the team at Heliotopus hotel truly made me feel at home. Overall, I would highly recommend Heliotopus hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay. The only downside is you need to consider if you are renting a car at least a 15 minutes drive around to find a spot to park at.

All the staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous- especially Eleni - the lady at the reception. Very helpful in organizing tours. Great location and easy access to everything. On-site restaurant incase you want to eat dinner at the hotel and watch the great views of sunset. Overall excellent experience!

Outstanding view, comfortable room, great breakfast options in a cave-like setting! Would definitely return. Not suitable for those with mobility issues as there are many steps to navigate (and this is the norm in Santorini)

This was a nice hotel overlooking the sea. We had a private balcony with 2 level room. We were there during the off season so it was quiet. The staff were really friendly and gave suggestions on what to see during our stay. To note: the tap water is salt water from the sea so bottled water is a must. The power went out a few times in one night and the internet took a while to reboot. The hot water is on demand so takes a few minutes to heat up and doesnt last long (hot showers turned cold after about 5 min). There are no Do Not Disturb signs for the door so the cleaning staff lets themselves in to your room whether you want them to or not (even when youre in the room!) There are many stairs and no elevator. Improvements: more breakfast options are necessary (oat milk, peanut butter, oat meal, fresh bananas, smoothies), raillings should be installed on the stairs in the rooms, more vegan options in the restaurant (vegan cheese, coconut butter, vegan mayo/sauce etc), shower doors should be installed as water was everywhere, loose electrical outlets should be fixed.

Un bon hôtel en général, mais qui a besoin d’un peu d’amour. Tout a l’air un peu fatigué, et la piscine est plus petite qu’elle semble sur les photos. La vue est magnifique toutefois, et le restaurant super pratique comme ils font la livraison aux chambres et que la cuisine n’est pas vraiment fonctionnelle, à part le réfrigérateur. Je recommande de demander une chambre aux étages supérieurs, nous avions la dernière en bas et il y a vraiment plusieurs marches à monter et elle est très loin de la piscine. Le déjeuner est correct et termine à 11h, mais il faut arriver avant 10h30 parce que sinon le personnel n’est pas content et vous le fait sentir! Cela dit, le personnel de la réception était formidable. Bref, une bonne option abordable et propre avec une vue magnifique, mais sans facteur wow.

The location for summertime sunsets was second to none! It was our favourite family activity! Early dinner, then come back to our patio and watch the sunset. We had some issues with a leaky air conditioner, lack of shower pressure and drainage issues in the shower, but besides that we enjoyed our living space. The homemade breakfast was amazing every morning. The dipping pool was great and an excellent chance for us to socialize with other families/tourists as it was a small space so not a lot of people were around. Kudos to their fabulous porter who hauled suitcases like no other!

Had two rooms, one for the four kids and room for parents. Both were great and location was excellent. Beautiful location for sunset and walking distance to Thera on trail. Only difficulty is finding parking if you rent a car.

The most amazing views! Our room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - away from the crowds of Fira but an easy 20-30 min walk with amazing views the entire way. Several great restaurants and shops within a 5 min walk of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Hotel tres bien placé sur Santorin au bord du cratère , vue magnifique, à distance de la foule. La piscine est de petite taille comme assez souvent à Santorin. Chambres vieillottes, matelas confortables, bruit de fond des machines à laver le linge la nuit . Huisseries anciennes , il faut être grand et monter sur une chaise pour fermer la fenêtre du haut . Escalier dangereux pour atteindre les lits des enfants en mezzanine ( pas adapté pour de jeunes enfants, minimum 10 ans ) Petit déjeuner très très limité pour le tarif de la chambre ( très peu de choix , qualité médiocre hormis le jus d’orange pressé , présentation lamentable qui ne donne pas envie : barquettes en plastique, pas de viennoiseries , pas de produits locaux ) . Une cuisine dans la chambre mais inutilisable ( dépassée) hormis la vaisselle . Le personnel est correcte sans plus . Vous pouvez ramener de la nourriture et des boissons achetés à l’extérieur sans problème ( nombreuses supérettes et restaurants aux environs ) L’hôtel a un bar en roof top .

My family and I chose this because of the location and amazing reviews. We didn't go wrong. Our stay was amazing, from the amazing view, hotel cleanliness, the staff hospitality, to the location close to beautiful restaurants with amazing views. I would choose this place again if I returned to visit Santorini someday. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks for a making our visit so memorable.

The location for summertime sunsets was second to none! It was our favourite family activity! Early dinner, then come back to our patio and watch the sunset. We had some issues with a leaky air conditioner, lack of shower pressure and drainage issues in the shower, but besides that we enjoyed our living space. The homemade breakfast was amazing every morning. The dipping pool was great and an excellent chance for us to socialize with other families/tourists as it was a small space so not a lot of people were around. Kudos to their fabulous porter who hauled suitcases like no other!

The most amazing views! Our room and bathroom were very spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect - away from the crowds of Fira but an easy 20-30 min walk with amazing views the entire way. Several great restaurants and shops within a 5 min walk of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

The hotel has an amazing location, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was just okay—there weren’t many options to choose from. We had an early check-out and were told that breakfast would be arranged and someone would assist with our luggage. Unfortunately, no one showed up, and we left without breakfast or help. That was disappointing and took away from an otherwise pleasant stay.

Heliotopos was our favorite place we stayed on this trip. Wonderful setting in Imerovigli. Evelina very communicative and helpful with our stay. She gave us a fantastic rundown of all the places we might like to visit during our stay. Sunsets of course wonderful and can enjoy at the wine bar restaurant on site. Someone had a wedding one evening we were there. Can’t think of a more charming location. Loved our room which was nestled in a cave and even had a window into the wall at the back showing the rock’s signature during the eruption. We didn’t use the pool but it looked refreshing. Wonderful breakfast with cappuccino to boot. Can just sit on your balcony all day and soak it in. We look forward to staying there again.

We were amazed when we saw our room with the best view of the Caldera and the sunset right in front of us. Staff was excellent. Breakfast buffet was great too. The only thing was that the bed was against the wall and was hard to get out of bed, specially for people our age. Otherwise perfect.

The Heliotopos offers one of the best views of the caldera. It was also one of the few that provided a restaurant as well as options that would accommodate 4 adults. While it was snug for 4 adults it worked out great. We even had a private veranda that let out right on the caldera path. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful and friendly. Heliotopos was an excellent value!! Make sure to book a premium table for dinner at the wine bar and be prepared for the best sunset of your life!!!

Hotel tres bien placé sur Santorin au bord du cratère , vue magnifique, à distance de la foule. La piscine est de petite taille comme assez souvent à Santorin. Chambres vieillottes, matelas confortables, bruit de fond des machines à laver le linge la nuit . Huisseries anciennes , il faut être grand et monter sur une chaise pour fermer la fenêtre du haut . Escalier dangereux pour atteindre les lits des enfants en mezzanine ( pas adapté pour de jeunes enfants, minimum 10 ans ) Petit déjeuner très très limité pour le tarif de la chambre ( très peu de choix , qualité médiocre hormis le jus d’orange pressé , présentation lamentable qui ne donne pas envie : barquettes en plastique, pas de viennoiseries , pas de produits locaux ) . Une cuisine dans la chambre mais inutilisable ( dépassée) hormis la vaisselle . Le personnel est correcte sans plus . Vous pouvez ramener de la nourriture et des boissons achetés à l’extérieur sans problème ( nombreuses supérettes et restaurants aux environs ) L’hôtel a un bar en roof top .

Amazing views, watching sunset from our balcony. Lots of steps but worth it for spacious room/suite, sat on the lovely balcony not over looked. Staff were lovely, very attentive, nothing was too much trouble.

The people at reception were extremely nice and helpful! They helped answer all the questions we had and even assisted with coordinating transfer from the hotel to the ferry port for the ferry we were taking from Santorini to Mykonos. The views of the caldera from our room (especially at sunset) were unreal. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Santorini!!

All the staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous- especially Eleni - the lady at the reception. Very helpful in organizing tours. Great location and easy access to everything. On-site restaurant incase you want to eat dinner at the hotel and watch the great views of sunset. Overall excellent experience!

This was a nice hotel overlooking the sea. We had a private balcony with 2 level room. We were there during the off season so it was quiet. The staff were really friendly and gave suggestions on what to see during our stay. To note: the tap water is salt water from the sea so bottled water is a must. The power went out a few times in one night and the internet took a while to reboot. The hot water is on demand so takes a few minutes to heat up and doesnt last long (hot showers turned cold after about 5 min). There are no Do Not Disturb signs for the door so the cleaning staff lets themselves in to your room whether you want them to or not (even when youre in the room!) There are many stairs and no elevator. Improvements: more breakfast options are necessary (oat milk, peanut butter, oat meal, fresh bananas, smoothies), raillings should be installed on the stairs in the rooms, more vegan options in the restaurant (vegan cheese, coconut butter, vegan mayo/sauce etc), shower doors should be installed as water was everywhere, loose electrical outlets should be fixed.

The staff were amazing, especially Eliana ( I don’t know how to spell her name). She helped us out with our itinerary and she was very helpful. She’s so accommodating. I would stay again in that hotel. I loved all the staff. The orange juice was amazing. The place was peaceful and very convenient. It’s between Fira and Oia.

The sunset view from the hotel is the best in the entire town (see pictures attached). The hotel is in the middle (sort of equidistant) from Oia (the main tourist attraction) and the Fira (main town). The bus stop is a 5 minute walk and one can take convenient city bus (air conditioned Mercedes buses) that have a strict schedule. If someone likes to walk (hiking) - there is a special path / route that passes through all these hotels (like an open tunnel) and one can do these trips with scenic ocean view (be mindful of the hot temperature).

The room was very nice. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Amazing views for the beautiful sunset. We walked from Imerovigli to Oia, but we took a taxi back (€35). Bus is available from Oia to Fira, but them you would need to talk back, around 25 min, ou take another bus from Fira to Imerivigli.

It took us some time to find the hotel in the dark. But the off street parking was convenient. We loved the cave-house settings. The view from our suite to the ocean was incredibly beautiful especially the sunset. The walk in the surrounding area was very pleasant. The hotel staff was friendly. The food was good but pricy. We were charged with extra local tax even though we paid them via Expedia.

Great location with the perfect sunset view from the balcony. Elini is reception was great and made us feel welcome. The location is perfect for coastal walks and the there are lot of fantastic views of the Caldera along the walk towards Fira.

Had two rooms, one for the four kids and room for parents. Both were great and location was excellent. Beautiful location for sunset and walking distance to Thera on trail. Only difficulty is finding parking if you rent a car.

The hotel has an amazing location, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was just okay—there weren’t many options to choose from. We had an early check-out and were told that breakfast would be arranged and someone would assist with our luggage. Unfortunately, no one showed up, and we left without breakfast or help. That was disappointing and took away from an otherwise pleasant stay.

Heliotopos was our favorite place we stayed on this trip. Wonderful setting in Imerovigli. Evelina very communicative and helpful with our stay. She gave us a fantastic rundown of all the places we might like to visit during our stay. Sunsets of course wonderful and can enjoy at the wine bar restaurant on site. Someone had a wedding one evening we were there. Can’t think of a more charming location. Loved our room which was nestled in a cave and even had a window into the wall at the back showing the rock’s signature during the eruption. We didn’t use the pool but it looked refreshing. Wonderful breakfast with cappuccino to boot. Can just sit on your balcony all day and soak it in. We look forward to staying there again.

It took us some time to find the hotel in the dark. But the off street parking was convenient. We loved the cave-house settings. The view from our suite to the ocean was incredibly beautiful especially the sunset. The walk in the surrounding area was very pleasant. The hotel staff was friendly. The food was good but pricy. We were charged with extra local tax even though we paid them via Expedia.

All the staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous- especially Eleni - the lady at the reception. Very helpful in organizing tours. Great location and easy access to everything. On-site restaurant incase you want to eat dinner at the hotel and watch the great views of sunset. Overall excellent experience!

Hotel tres bien placé sur Santorin au bord du cratère , vue magnifique, à distance de la foule. La piscine est de petite taille comme assez souvent à Santorin. Chambres vieillottes, matelas confortables, bruit de fond des machines à laver le linge la nuit . Huisseries anciennes , il faut être grand et monter sur une chaise pour fermer la fenêtre du haut . Escalier dangereux pour atteindre les lits des enfants en mezzanine ( pas adapté pour de jeunes enfants, minimum 10 ans ) Petit déjeuner très très limité pour le tarif de la chambre ( très peu de choix , qualité médiocre hormis le jus d’orange pressé , présentation lamentable qui ne donne pas envie : barquettes en plastique, pas de viennoiseries , pas de produits locaux ) . Une cuisine dans la chambre mais inutilisable ( dépassée) hormis la vaisselle . Le personnel est correcte sans plus . Vous pouvez ramener de la nourriture et des boissons achetés à l’extérieur sans problème ( nombreuses supérettes et restaurants aux environs ) L’hôtel a un bar en roof top .

The sunset view from the hotel is the best in the entire town (see pictures attached). The hotel is in the middle (sort of equidistant) from Oia (the main tourist attraction) and the Fira (main town). The bus stop is a 5 minute walk and one can take convenient city bus (air conditioned Mercedes buses) that have a strict schedule. If someone likes to walk (hiking) - there is a special path / route that passes through all these hotels (like an open tunnel) and one can do these trips with scenic ocean view (be mindful of the hot temperature).

Un bon hôtel en général, mais qui a besoin d’un peu d’amour. Tout a l’air un peu fatigué, et la piscine est plus petite qu’elle semble sur les photos. La vue est magnifique toutefois, et le restaurant super pratique comme ils font la livraison aux chambres et que la cuisine n’est pas vraiment fonctionnelle, à part le réfrigérateur. Je recommande de demander une chambre aux étages supérieurs, nous avions la dernière en bas et il y a vraiment plusieurs marches à monter et elle est très loin de la piscine. Le déjeuner est correct et termine à 11h, mais il faut arriver avant 10h30 parce que sinon le personnel n’est pas content et vous le fait sentir! Cela dit, le personnel de la réception était formidable. Bref, une bonne option abordable et propre avec une vue magnifique, mais sans facteur wow.

The location for summertime sunsets was second to none! It was our favourite family activity! Early dinner, then come back to our patio and watch the sunset. We had some issues with a leaky air conditioner, lack of shower pressure and drainage issues in the shower, but besides that we enjoyed our living space. The homemade breakfast was amazing every morning. The dipping pool was great and an excellent chance for us to socialize with other families/tourists as it was a small space so not a lot of people were around. Kudos to their fabulous porter who hauled suitcases like no other!
