An outstanding hotel. Room was perfect, spacious and comfortable. All the staff were excellent and the service was impeccable. The breakfast range was extensive and all really tasty. The restaurants were both lovely and the view from the rooftop was a highlight. The spa facilities were superb and the treatments were excellent making for a relaxing experience.

Es ist ein tolles Hotel. Das Personal ist super freundlich und immer ansprechbar. Das Frühstück hat eine super Qualität, es ist reichlich und es wird immer nachgelegt. Da man sich auf eine Zeit anmeldet, ist es auch nie zu voll. Vor dem Hotel liegen Partyboote, daher ist es abends manchmal recht laut, aber wenn man die Fenster / Balkontüre schließt ok. Einzig das SPA ist kritikwürdig, wenn man in die Sauna möchte, ist ein Slot von 45 min. zu wenig. SPA ist klein, daher finde ich es gut, dass sie slots vergeben. Auch zu wissen: Der Pool ist sehr klein, ein bisschen drin aufhalten ist ok, aber schwimmen kann man nicht wirklich.

It was an amazing hotel, great location along by the river, ideally placed for visiting the Port houses. Staf were great, really friendly and very helpful in dealing with your requests. Car parking was provided and at arrival we handed our car keys over to be parked and at leaving it was brought out to front of hotel for us. All in all excellent cannot fault it at all.

Hotel is relatively new and modern. Just a few negatives: 1. Far from the center. Across the river from the center but closest bridge is 15min by car 2. Very small bathroom 3. Pool can only accommodate a few people so you need to reserve in advance 4.gym small with limited equipment 5. The staff is nice but service could be improved. Things get done half way only

Highly recommend. Beautiful views of Porto across the river, amazing customer service, wonderful spacious apartment. We loved how close we were to the riverfront, dining options, port wine tastings. The kids enjoyed the pool and LOVED the kids club!! They asked to go back the next morning which allowed us to escape for another port wine tasting! Double win! Highly recommend. It’s a beautiful hotel.

Das Rebello Hotel hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt: die Lage des Hotels ist sehr schön, ein grandioser Blick auf die Altstadt von Porto. Es liegt direkt am Duoro. Der Empfang und die Betreuung durch die Mitarbeiter war exzellent und außergewöhnlich freundlich. Das Hotel ist sehr neu und architektonische sehr schön gestaltet. The location was perfect- off the path just enough to be private and quiet, but only a couple minutes walk from all the action! The hotel itself is gorgeous, stylish and everything was superior quality. The staff were all extremely professional and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room had an outstanding view of Porto from the balcony. The room also had every amenity one could need. The only thing that took getting used to was all the amenities require advanced reservations, so not all amenities were always available for use, including breakfast, dinner on the rooftop and the pool/spa.

We stayed for 11 days and just had the best time. Perfect location, the roof top restaurant was so lovely, great staff, fab gym and my son loved the pool. Just a fab hotel. Totally recommend Andy Hardy

I had noise issue the first night however Soraia at the front was able to change our room and from then on everything was fine. Big thanks to Soraia and Rui for swift and efficient response to our needs. Overall, great stay. Our room #103, had a beautiful river view and was clean.

The room was spotless, the staff were very accommodating—even giving us a great recommendation for a local restaurant with excellent food. We appreciated the information about Porto that was sent out ahead of time and the detailed explanation of sites to explore upon our arrival. Breakfast was delicious with abundant choices. Beautiful hotel with terrific interiors. Great staff generally, incredible views which make up for 25 minute walk into Porto itself. You can of course use taxis but we prefer walking. Gaia itself is nearby and great for visiting the wine cellars but it doesn’t have the charm of Porto itself and is overrun by sellers selling cheap goods. One word of warning, if you stay in rooms at the front of the property be prepared to deal with some disruption from really noisy motorcyclists who seem to use the road in front as a race track at night. It’s not a deal breaker but does detract if you like to sleep with windows open rather than rely on air con. Other negatives were slow service on the Bello roof terrace - you are advised to make a reservation for the best tables and finally we were aware of the unpleasant smell of drains in our room and in some parts of the hotel on occasion. Thankfully not permanent smell but it wasn’t pleasant and I hope the hotel can resolve it. Finally - breakfast was excellent but really do think they could improve their coffee. Overall a solid 4/5.

From check-in to check-out our stay was very nice. They had our reservation booked as desired, gave us a tour upon arrival, and brought us to our room - followed quickly after by our luggage. Our room was the 2-bedroom, and it was perfect for our family with a kitchen and 3 washrooms. Accommodations were comfortable, clean, and in good working order. We added breakfast to our room which was worth it having a four-year-old along for the ride. We also had a wonderful Portuguese dinner at Pot and Pan on the day of our arrival (rated highly on theFork too!). We enjoyed a professional massage at the spa and booked a time at the indoor pool to relax. The location was convenient by walking or car/taxi/uber and the beautiful setting along the Douro River has unmatched views. Service, quality, professionalism, convenience - it checked all the boxes and more.

First things first, the location of this property is fantastic. Situated right in front of the Douro River, the hotel is right by the bustling hob of Gaia and there is always a good time to be had after a quick stroll into the river park. I booked a room with a river view and was not disappointed. Waking up every morning to the sun reflecting against the Douro was a nice start to the day and made for some very great photos. Another thing I enjoyed was the breakfast. The variety and the quality of the buffet items were great (the pastel de natas are divine) and the to order menu also had a good selection of other breakfast items to compliment the buffet spread. I also enjoyed the Bello roof top (spectacular views of the river and good food) and the Pot and Pan (cosy way to indulge in Portuguese cuisine) with the staff doing their best to accommodate you. There are a few things I believe can be improved as I feel these left down the hotel and made it feel more like a 4 star than a 5 as advertised. The cleanliness (quite a few instances of having to clean the room myself as it was not swept so a lot of stray items littering the floor), and the reception staff who were slightly difficult to deal with in some instances meant I was reluctant asking for assistance after my first encounter. Also had to deal with smells in the room, which was a bit disconcerting. All in all, a nice hotel with a 4/5 rating from me.

This was hands down the best hotel we stayed at. From the moment you walk in you can feel the calm vibes. The hotel is immaculate and so very clean. The staff is 5 stars right off the bat, the lovely receptionist walked us around the property showing us all the amenities. Including the spa which we used and had an incredible massage at. Our room was a studio with a great view of the River. The area was perfect as well walking distance from some great stores and resturants.

We had a one bedroom suite river view with balcony. It’s a fantastically designed hotel. Every finish, piece of art/furniture/amenities are really perfect. The balcony overlooking the Douro River and old town Porto is fantastic! Even the kitchen is spectacular. The gym and spa are top of the line. The surrounding area is walkable and a little commercial, but visiting a Port Wine House is the thing to do. I can say that the Rebello tops our list of hotels anywhere!

We loved everything about our stay. The hotel/property is absolutely amazing. The location is on the other side of the river but we enjoyed the walk to the main area in Porto. It was approximately 20 minute walk or a cheap uber ride. It was nice to be away from the hectic area after long days of sightseeing. And you get a beautiful view of centro Porto. Our room was extremely spacious and modern. The rooftop was super cute. Breakfast buffet was so yummy, And every hotel staff we had contact with were just so kind, happy, and genuine. We will only stay here when we return to Porto. Thank you to The Rebello Hotel for the most perfect stay and for celebrating our birthdays. Whatever you are doing, keep it up!!

Lovely location and hotel. Highly recommend. Some issues: Had top floor room with bar above. Very noise clearing tables at 1am. Mentioned to management after two nights of this. They clearly cared and they acted on it. The offer to change rooms was nice but it’s a real faff once you are unpacked and it was unnecessary if the tidy up operation was quieter. They listened though and the rest of the stay was brilliant. The note with a couple of beers didn’t really make up for losing sleep over two nights but the gesture was there. The other is that breakfast was chaotic. Booked in for specific times but it seems most of the guests were there. Food was great though as were the staff. Only small comments so don’t be put off! We would absolutely stay again.

The rooms are great and larger than most rooms in Europe. Riverview studios have a direct river view with Porto across the River and Gaia down the east side of the river, gorgeous. The staff are Five Star as well. The front desk staff greets you immediately and are ready to assist you in any way. Request for something to the room (extra pillow, etc) are delivered right away. Why would you stay anywhere else?

Excellent in every regard. Brilliant hotel. Great walk along the river into the centre that adds to the excitement of visiting Porto. Port houses within metres of the hotel makes it even more wow. Balconies and terraces and the views are wonderful. The rooms and suites are very well appointed, super comfortable bed, great shower room, the mini kitchen was excellent, the minibar and snacks on another great level of care and thought. Meal and drinks very good indeed. Service was exceptional throughout. If you cannot guess by now I entirely love this hotel and has a huge recommendation from me.

We loved this hotel! My friend stayed her and told us we needed to book here for our trip…and we are so glad we did. We had the best sleep. Beds were so comfy and it was quiet! It was a little walk or taxi to the main sights but it was definitely worth it for the views and the quiet staying on the Gaia side. The rooftop patio was the icing on the cake! Thanks to all staff who were so lovely and professional.

Our suite was very comfortable for 3 of us. Plenty of room. Very quiet and private. We liked the upstairs lounge area. The staff were really helpful and nothing too much trouble. I loved the Claus Porto toiletries. The food in the hotel restaurant, Pot and Pan is fantastic. Fine dining at very fair prices. I would love to come back to this stylish haven.

Great quiet hotel in Porto. Just don’t believe the photos that make you believe you’re getting a balcony on the luxury suites. It’s only a window, amazing view, yes, but only if you sit at the window. Hotels.com need to remove misleading photos.

I had noise issue the first night however Soraia at the front was able to change our room and from then on everything was fine. Big thanks to Soraia and Rui for swift and efficient response to our needs. Overall, great stay. Our room #103, had a beautiful river view and was clean.

The Rebello is a truly beautiful property. The staff were all so helpful and really friendly. It made for a really relaxing stay. The rooftop bar was great for drinks with a beautiful view down the river and also great pizza. I loved the little touches like the free first round of the mini bar and little biscuits as part of the turn down service. The little pastel de nata that were left in our room during our stay was just a lovely touch. I’d definitely stay here again if I visit Porto.

We were a little disappointed. Everyone was nice and the architecture is amazing. But there are a lot of little quirks and slip ups. For example we had to take 2 elevators or two different sets of stairs to get to our room on the second floor. A huge room with amazing view and brutalist furnishing. We arrived early and room was not ready until after 4pm so a nice man stalled while they finally got the room ready. Then he promised all kinds of comps which were not communicated to anyone else on the staff. We waited 30 minutes for attention on the rooftop. One day we arrived at breakfast to find several parties waiting while they mopped the floors and when we were all finally admitted the floors were wet. We got a letter on check in saying we had a food and beverage credit but like everything else this was available only when we showed the Letter on check out. The place has some great features but they could do so much better.

Our stay was destroyed as on departure day we discovered our electric car wasn’t charged. Despite I reminded the staff twice to do it and tipped the porter. Very nice hotel but not 5* service.

Wow! I can’t say enough great things about this property! The staff is AMAZING. Ten stars. They went above and beyond for my wild family. I have 3 kids, and although this is a very romantic hotel, they really did a great job making it family friendly. The kids club staff is TEN STARS! Absolutely fantastic. Thank you for everything, we loved our time in Porto/Gaia

The hotel staff, friendly, helpful. They helped us plan a route to visit all the sites we wanted to see in Porto. They store our bags and then checkout time they put them in our room. When we returned, we just checked in our bags were already there. They have a wonderful turn down service. And the rooftop restaurant and bar has delicious food and cocktails. The view is unparalleled to see old town. You can see the golden hour, which was dazzling. Superb

Beautiful hotel with terrific interiors. Great staff generally, incredible views which make up for 25 minute walk into Porto itself. You can of course use taxis but we prefer walking. Gaia itself is nearby and great for visiting the wine cellars but it doesn’t have the charm of Porto itself and is overrun by sellers selling cheap goods. One word of warning, if you stay in rooms at the front of the property be prepared to deal with some disruption from really noisy motorcyclists who seem to use the road in front as a race track at night. It’s not a deal breaker but does detract if you like to sleep with windows open rather than rely on air con. Other negatives were slow service on the Bello roof terrace - you are advised to make a reservation for the best tables and finally we were aware of the unpleasant smell of drains in our room and in some parts of the hotel on occasion. Thankfully not permanent smell but it wasn’t pleasant and I hope the hotel can resolve it. Finally - breakfast was excellent but really do think they could improve their coffee. Overall a solid 4/5.

However, I was disappointed by the lack of a river view and that no room upgrade was offered, even after we raised some concerns during our stay. Additionally, the area along the river directly in front of the hotel could use some attention, e.g., there was visible trash and a number of rundown or inactive tourism boats, which detracted from the overall experience.

Très bel hôtel. Accueil exceptionnel. Chambre avec balcon offrant une vue splendide sur le pont Dom-Luis. Le spa est magnifique et offre des services de qualité. Les petits déjeuners sont variés et généreux. La terrasse sur le toit est aussi hyper agréable ! On a adoré notre séjour et on est ravi d’avoir séjourné de ce côté de la rive plutôt que du côté de Porto qui est tellement plus bruyant.

It was an amazing hotel, great location along by the river, ideally placed for visiting the Port houses. Staf were great, really friendly and very helpful in dealing with your requests. Car parking was provided and at arrival we handed our car keys over to be parked and at leaving it was brought out to front of hotel for us. All in all excellent cannot fault it at all.

This is an amazing property. We loved the views, location and spa. We were very disappointed in the restaurants…sat at a table for a significant amount of time and no staff approached us so we went to the main restaurant but felt the same and were afraid to order meals and be disappointed so we left and ate outside the hotel.

An outstanding hotel. Room was perfect, spacious and comfortable. All the staff were excellent and the service was impeccable. The breakfast range was extensive and all really tasty. The restaurants were both lovely and the view from the rooftop was a highlight. The spa facilities were superb and the treatments were excellent making for a relaxing experience.

Very nice hotel, very accommodating. The hotel has 2 restaurants, they are both very good. The rooftop restaurant has a gorgeous view. The spa portion is nicely set up however the water wasn’t hot enough in my opinion for soaking. The beds in the rooms were hard but the room was kept tidy and clean for us. Everybody was nice and courteous. The hotel is walkable to shops and dining and everyone was nice thete as well.

Lovely location and hotel. Highly recommend. Some issues: Had top floor room with bar above. Very noise clearing tables at 1am. Mentioned to management after two nights of this. They clearly cared and they acted on it. The offer to change rooms was nice but it’s a real faff once you are unpacked and it was unnecessary if the tidy up operation was quieter. They listened though and the rest of the stay was brilliant. The note with a couple of beers didn’t really make up for losing sleep over two nights but the gesture was there. The other is that breakfast was chaotic. Booked in for specific times but it seems most of the guests were there. Food was great though as were the staff. Only small comments so don’t be put off! We would absolutely stay again.

The hotel staff, friendly, helpful. They helped us plan a route to visit all the sites we wanted to see in Porto. They store our bags and then checkout time they put them in our room. When we returned, we just checked in our bags were already there. They have a wonderful turn down service. And the rooftop restaurant and bar has delicious food and cocktails. The view is unparalleled to see old town. You can see the golden hour, which was dazzling. Superb

Our suite was very comfortable for 3 of us. Plenty of room. Very quiet and private. We liked the upstairs lounge area. The staff were really helpful and nothing too much trouble. I loved the Claus Porto toiletries. The food in the hotel restaurant, Pot and Pan is fantastic. Fine dining at very fair prices. I would love to come back to this stylish haven.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic views over the river to Porto. Staff were very helpful - one team member conjured up tickets for a Champions League game, another sorted out a doctor to visit for my onset of back pain. Lovely rooftop bar/restaurant and the main dining venue was unfussy and full of flavour. Recommended!
