Excelente hotel! Tudo novinho! Recepção elegante, área de lazer ótima (spa,piscina, academia), café da manhã farto e funcionários simpáticos. O restaurante peruano tb vale a pena, linda vista e comida excelente! Somos 4 e ficamos em um quarto de 2 andares/ 2 banhos e foi ótimo! Recomendo e ficaria novamente.

The only downside to this excellent hotel is that the pool isn’t kid friendly (must pay for them and their hours are limited). Beyond that, it’s an excellent choice, in a very nice spot.

Hilton Porto Gaia is perfectly located for a city break in Porto. It has a lovely indoor pool & spa & fabulous bar with views of The Douro River. Highly recommend, we will definitely return.😊

Overall a wonderful hotel. Amazing stay, with a wonderful gym, stunning spa and friendly staff. My only couple of points of feedback I had an intern check me in so didn’t get the full info on the hotel like the wonderful rooftop restaurant which I only discovered on my last night and there was so much confusion about my booking. All in all a great location for me as I was away for the hustle and bustle.

Had a great stay at the Hilton Porto Maia. The hotel was is excellence conditin, close to the waterfront and the staff were very friendly. I was a little disappointed to find out that both the pool and hydropools were closed due to maintenance upon arrival. There was no indication that these facilities were closed during the time of booking. Otheriwse an excellent stay.

We were surprised that they asked for almost Euro 70 for a family of 4 to use the pool, on top this was for every day and children could spent only certain hours there.

Quelques points importants à noter : • L’accès à la piscine est payant (15 € par personne), ce qui n’était pas précisé lors de la réservation. • Le parking est très onéreux. • Malgré un paiement en ligne, une caution équivalente au prix d’une nuit nous a été demandée à l’arrivée. Our room faced out front on floor one, it could be quite noisy. Not consistent with what time room was cleaned everyday so some days we would come back about 3pm and room wasn’t cleaned.

Eduardo at Concierge was excellent. He provided excellent advice & went out of his way to help us find our missing hoodie. The room, however, could be better. There was a housefly buzzing around, the handsoap bottle was not replenished & there was no tissue paper.

À notre arrivée dans la chambre, nous avons été accueillis par une odeur de vomi persistante en provenance de la salle de bain. Bien sûr, nous avons immédiatement signalé ce désagrément à la réception, où l'on nous a promis un nettoyage rapide. À notre retour après le dîner, rien n'avait été fait. L'hôtel étant soi-disant complet, un changement de chambre n'était pas envisageable. Malgré nos demandes répétées, nous avons passé une nuit entière dans ces conditions désagréables. Le lendemain matin, le personnel a semblé ignorer nos plaintes antérieures, et aucune solution concrète ne nous a été proposée. Ce n'est qu'après avoir exigé un remboursement pour quitter l'établissement que nous avons finalement été transférés dans une autre chambre, contredisant ainsi l'affirmation précédente sur la capacité de l'hôtel. Il est difficile de croire qu'une telle négligence et un tel manque de professionnalisme puissent se produire dans un établissement Hilton. Nous avons dû insister pour bénéficier d'un service qui respecte les normes élémentaires d'hygiène.

We had a fantastic stay here. The hotel feels very modern, with a big, impressive foyer and spacious rooms that were in excellent condition. The shower was huge and one of the best we’ve had in a hotel. The air conditioning worked perfectly too, which was a real plus. The location in Vila Nova de Gaia was actually great — a bit quieter than being right in Porto. It is a bit of a walk to get across the river, but Ubers were cheap and made it easy when we didn’t feel like walking. Breakfast was superb with a really good buffet spread. One of the highlights for us, though, was the hotel bar overlooking Porto. We ended up there most evenings, just relaxing with interesting drinks and watching the sunset — it was such a lovely way to wind down. We didn’t get a chance to try the spa this time, but it gives us a good excuse to come back. If we’re in Porto again, we’ll definitely be booking here.

We stayed in the family suite which was perfect for our family of four. Having two bathrooms with showers made getting ready much easier. The biggest showers ever with wonderful rain showers. We loved our stay and wound definitely stay again if we visit Porto!

Nice, clean, modern and spacious room. Breakfast was excellent! Reception employees were very professional and helpful. Good location with easy access to Douro river walk and other attractions. If I need a hotel in Porto again, I would definitely choose Hilton Gaia again! Thank you for a very nice experience :-)

I have stayed at this hotel twice in 2.5 years. It’s excellent and I do love this hotel. The reason I have given four stars not five is because the noise until 4am at night was terrible when I stayed in Oct 25. There was a party on the street with noise unbearable. I could see other people complained about this on Google Reviews.

Staff was friendly, but under trained. Spa and breakfast were not included. 2 drinks at the bar cost €75. They initially gave us keys to an occupied room. Then gave us keys to a room with a broken patio door, and the third room had parts on toilet door falling off and the towel hooks hanging by a thread. But the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the location is very good.

The check in was very disappointing. The desk clerk was not welcoming. In contrast the clerks on during checkout were extremely nice. Had we dealt with them we might have stayed longer. Instead, we moved to a nicer hotel. The room and hotel are well maintained and clean, the workout facilities were very nice, and room service was okay - nice service but mediocre food.

The hotel is quite lovely, rooms and bathroom stunning. however the lack of staff when we were checking in was poor the wait over half a hour and we were near the front of the queue. This being said it wouldnt stop us from returning.

We loved our brief stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and full of nice surprises. The check-in staff were friendly and very helpful with recommendations for restaurants that were off the beaten path. The only issue we faced was finding that our rental car had been damaged by the valet. Make sure you photgraph your car before and after you have it parked by a valet. This resulted in 100s of dollars in damage at the car rental return in Lisbon...

Excellent hotel in GAIA across from Porto. Clean as a whistle and very modern. Possibly the quietest hotel i have ever stayed in. Take note that you CAN walk to or from the cable car on the Gaia side quite easily to the hotel. So its relatively convenient to the train (yellow line) that runs across the Dom Luis bridge. And stops at the Jardim do Morro station.

Convenient parking was the reason we chose to stay here, the cost was 20E per day and includes valet service. Location makes it easy enough to explore Gaia and Porto by foot, just prepare for steep inclines on both sides of the Douro. Uber, taxis, others methods of getting around are available also. Hotel was great, accommodations were very nice and comfortable, breakfast provided excellent options for varying palates.

Loved the location of this hotel. The vibe by the river was amazing, with great little restaurants along the strip. Location to bridge/downtown Porto was so convenient, and gave us a little escape from the downtown core. Gaia has beautiful views across the water to Porto.

Excelente hotel! Tudo novinho! Recepção elegante, área de lazer ótima (spa,piscina, academia), café da manhã farto e funcionários simpáticos. O restaurante peruano tb vale a pena, linda vista e comida excelente! Somos 4 e ficamos em um quarto de 2 andares/ 2 banhos e foi ótimo! Recomendo e ficaria novamente.

We had a fantastic stay here. The hotel feels very modern, with a big, impressive foyer and spacious rooms that were in excellent condition. The shower was huge and one of the best we’ve had in a hotel. The air conditioning worked perfectly too, which was a real plus. The location in Vila Nova de Gaia was actually great — a bit quieter than being right in Porto. It is a bit of a walk to get across the river, but Ubers were cheap and made it easy when we didn’t feel like walking. Breakfast was superb with a really good buffet spread. One of the highlights for us, though, was the hotel bar overlooking Porto. We ended up there most evenings, just relaxing with interesting drinks and watching the sunset — it was such a lovely way to wind down. We didn’t get a chance to try the spa this time, but it gives us a good excuse to come back. If we’re in Porto again, we’ll definitely be booking here.

Staff was friendly, but under trained. Spa and breakfast were not included. 2 drinks at the bar cost €75. They initially gave us keys to an occupied room. Then gave us keys to a room with a broken patio door, and the third room had parts on toilet door falling off and the towel hooks hanging by a thread. But the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the location is very good.

Very nice hotel, everyone was friendly and always ready to help out if needed. Our room was nice, confortable and clean. Everything was great except for the food at breakfast that was not warm enough. Other than that, all was good! We loved the Magma that overlooks the Douro River. Perfect location near bars, restaurants and many port caves.

We sure enjoyed our stay at Hilton Porto Gaia. Check-in was fast. Staff were simply amazing specially, Alice, who quickly resolved our problem with the first room they assigned us to and Edoardo, he helped us booked a two-hour yacht on the Douro River. Relaxing experience, highly recommended. The room was big, spacious and clean. Location is walking distance to the Douro River and lots of restaurants both on Gaia side and Porto side. Breakfast was not included but not a problem. Lots of restaurants are walking distance to the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel. Thank you staff. :) :)

Everything is good unless we don’t know the spa pool has to extra pay for every time and the kids cannot enter the spa pool after 4pm. Other than that, everything is excellent
