We were there for a very short stay due to a cancelled flight. The property was very pretty although the buildings were older and could use some upkeep. Really big drained fountain in the middle of the property. All was super clean though. Food in the restaurant was great - drinks were fine. Super close to Liberia airport. Staff very solicitous and helpful. Lots of monkeys in the trees and beautiful gardens. Pool was huge and lovely for swimming or lounging. Decor tired/older. Small very natural beach area which was fine, but didn't seem all that inviting for swimming. A bit murky and teeming with wildlife - with active fisherman fishing on the water from the beach.

Conveniently located in Golfo do Papagyo. Beautiful and exceptionally well maintained grounds and site, friendly, helpful and professional staff, reasonable price, good culinary service, couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend!

Our stay was great. The rooms were fantastic, with beautiful garden views. The grounds were gorgeous. The food was very good. The wait staff always remembered our names and were very helpful, kind, and attentive. We loved the fact that there were no children. We had a little room mix-up between our room and our friends, but the front desk had it all sorted out when we checked out. The only downsides were (1) there is no beach outside the property. You have to walk down a little way to find a good part of the beach where you can go into the ocean; (2) the pool really needs help. Tiles are missing. The filter system on one side of the pool wasn't working. The hot tub in the center of the pool was not hot. Even with those two cons, we'll be back.

The food is mediocre and the beach not conducive to swimming. The pool is very good. Upkeep is needed, for example, a broken sidewalk is hazardous and has not been repaired. Most disappointing is that the so-called private terraces have hedges So high that when one sits in them, one cannot see out onto the Gardens.

Resort is on the beach and not up a hill which happens a lot in CR. The beach and the resort are super quiet. Beach is shallow and very calm even on rough days. The resort is best for people who want a laid back place to hang out or use as a base for trips. There are several very good restaurants a short drive away and one a short walk down the beach. The resort is showing its age in some places but it is very clean, beds are comfy, rooms are large, staff are very friendly. Would be great if they added more deck chairs (though we always had one), some yoga mats to borrow and some SUPs. The food was good (nice variety), vegan options and very good gluten-free bread.
