Island Guesthouse and Motel OBX

Charming guesthouse with very friendly, helpful staff.

Check-in was easy and they worked with me when I arrived earlier than expected. The room was huge, clean, and more than adequate. This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and will definitely be back. It's very convenient to the Outer Banks and Alligator River NWR so it's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, birders (like me!), and wildlife photographers.

Room was clean. It was very quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable.The staff were friendly and helpful.

Our room was upstairs in the guesthouse. It was spacious and very clean. The walls and floor seem to be very thin and when people/guests are downstairs talking or walking you can definitely hear everything. The only other negative would be the sheets. They were soft but had some pilling, which is uncomfortable when you are laying on them trying to sleep. The staff is so friendly and helpful, we would definitely plan another stay. The location is also a plus.
