Fitzpatrick Manhattan

My room was pleasant with everything I needed; toiletries, soft bed, room darkening curtains, full water pressure for a good shower. I did not hear any neighbors or hall noise. There is a lovely small bar/restaurant where I had an excellent breakfast. I look forward to coming again. I consider it to be a great location, near many tourist sites.

A very comfortable hotel. Our one bedroom suite was spacious and well-appointed. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food at the restaurant is very good. And lovely to be able to have the option of room service.

Bar is great

Great location for being able to easily walk to Central Park and also the theater district. One thing I don’t like was being charged $25 a day “Spa fee” and not using the work out room. This seems to be a common practice for a lot of hotels.

The red awnings are attractive and make the hotel easy to find. It is an older hotel with dark woodwork. Breakfast, not included, is convenient and good. The elevators and the rooms are small. No room for a queen size bed or a mini fridge or a large TV. However the bed is comfortable, the shower is fairly hot, and housekeeping does an excellent job. It is in a great location for walking to shopping, restaurants, MOMA, Central Park. Check out is a civilized 12 PM and the front desk staff are crisp and efficient. At a fair price for NYC, this is good value.

Staff was so nice and helpful—from Concierge to housekeeping to doormen. Lengthy paid happy hour in the bar but drinks and appetizers were good. Convenient area for walking to sites. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice place. Expedia makes you pay additional resort fee. If you book directly - you don’t pay this useless fee for a gym that isn’t even in the hotel.

The parking hotel offers is not reliable . We come to NYC for overnight stay due to our early appointment at MSK and left car at the parking hotel uses Next morning the parking was closed and we needed several intervention to be able to get back car Big stress !!!

This is not a luxury hotel, and having a resort fee is kind of ridiculous -- no pool or gym on site, though they will give ypu a pass to a gym a couple blocks away. However, service is excellent and friendly, rooms are comfortable and nicer than a budget hotel, and the location is superb. It"s an excellent value for an East side hotel, at about half the price of others. If location is key and you want a nice place to stay at a good price, I recommend it.

It was last minute decision to go into NYC to see the Christmas decor. All was great. Only problem was room was very hot and we could not get the AC to work. In the hotel’s defense we just cracked the windows since we were only staying one night. Everyone was super friendly, hospitable, and efficient. The hotel has a great “old school” boutique hotel vibe. We really liked it. Parking was free and just around the corner at a garage.

Hotel room was ok. Bathroom shower filled up with water and started overflowing into bathroom. Was gross to stand in the backwash. Average hotel.

The photos on your site don’t tell the story. The carpet in bedroom was old and very worn. Bathrooms are not updated. The white robe in room was worn and frayed at both sleeves. The sheets had spots and also seemed worn. The elevators were old and slow. The lobby looks fine and elegant but it stops there.

Room was clean. Lobby was attractive. Most staff were attentive. Temperature in room could not be regulated. No refrigerator. Minimal toiletries. I was expecting more given other reviews

Pubes on Toilet Room smelled like smoke

Room smelled like chlorox. Damp and uncomfortable. But bar was adorable and good service

All good except room 203 was uncomfortably hot.

Room was so dark ! No light whatsoever. I could feel the subway train every time it passed by ( I was on the 3rd floor ? Shocked to see the day was bright and blue when I left the hotel.

it is a wonderful property very walkable. I had a nice quiet little room. Which was very well appointed. The only drawback is the lack of electrical outlets.

Clean comfortable and in a very safe area. The a/c was not running well and room was not cool enough and no ventilation in bathroom. A little loud during the night.

The hotel has an excellent location. Price is reasonable. Rooms are very small and ours had no view. The bathroom is clean and modern and the bed is comfortable and large. If you plan to use your hotel to sleep and be treated kindly this place is great

Very nice hotel on the East Side. Very kind staff Nice bar and restaurant. A bit challenging to get to certain places via subway. Room lovely but a bit dark as we had no street facing windows. Woukd definitely stay here again

The room was meaningfully more spacious than I'm accustomed to in midtown Manhattan hotels. Furnishings a bit worn, doesn't look like it's been updated on a long time, but still I found it very comfortable.

Room was spacious and comfortable. However air conditions system is old and doesn't allow for temperature control (just 4-5 settings for hot, cold, cool etc.). Also the shower had issue, shower pressure was very low and the water was not draining. Had to stop showering after 5 minutes because I was worried the water would overflow (not a full bath tab, just standing shower with a very low ledge).

Room was lovely looking, nicely appointed. l loved that they provided a robe and umbrella, it was a rainy weekend. Bathroom had beautiful marble work but was too small to be comfortable. You could not use the toilet without bumping into the toilet tissue holder on one side and the shower enclosure on the other side. On a positive note, there was ample storage, multiple shelves above the toilet so you could spread out your makeup. The magnifying mirror was mounted too high, but I managed. The choices on the TV were from the dark ages. No pay channels and NO STREAMING CHANNELS. I missed my Netflix.

This was my second stay at the Fitzpatrick. It's a perfectly nice hotel but, honestly, not amazing. Reception staff were very nice and helpful, and the room was fine but...other staff were consistently very loud as they worked in the hallway (loud walkie-talkies) outside my room and in the restaurant area where I had to listen to the hostess planning a trip with her boyfriend on speaker phone--as if a customer weren't sitting 20 feet away. My room view was of a brick wall and the climate control (or whatever it was) kept me up much of the night by switching on and off (even after I turned off the AC). So, not a great visit. But also not terrible. I guess that explains why I found a vacancy during the UN general assembly week.

Great hotel. Very personal and accommodating staff.

My husband and I took out adult children on a trip to the US, our first stop was NYC and this hotel. I made the booking via Expedia and emailed at the time of booking to request rooms near each other ideally with a street view and letting them know it was a special birthday. I did not get a response, I emailed the hotel directly a week before check in and got a response saying they would "do their very best". Their very best was floor eight, ten & twelve facing a brick wall and no acknowledgement of the birthday. I expressed my disappointment and asked if we could upgrade/switch room types to facilitate our request, what appeared to be the reception manager made some comment about only people who book direct can do that, he said he would see what he juggle around the day after - he didn't do anything. The hotel was not full, the housekeeping staff confirmed this. There was no "welcome to the Fitzpatrick, how was your journey, can we help with your bags". We went to our rooms (three in total) and I can only say these were the most depressing, tired, dark rooms and absolutely not my expectation of four star accommodation. You'll see the photo's below - couple this with broken belt loops on bathrobes, a broken phone, a door lock that fell off every time you closed the door, a lack of decent sized towels for two people, the battery cover missing from the front of the safe. We met in the lobby every morning and every evening before going out and we were never spoken to once inc

First time staying at the Fitzpatrick. I’d come back fid the staff, alone. They are friendly and check in was a breeze.

Great breakfast! Always quiet and the location is perfect.

Just lovely. Great location for metro and bus. Lots of options for shopping (Bloomingdales just down the block). If you are fit, you can walk to theater and stop on the way for dinner. About a mile each way. We will make this our NYC location for visits to come!

Excellent location! Under 10 mins to walk to Central Park, close to many good restaurants/dining options, 5th Avenue etc. Great boutique hotel in midtown manhattan at a very reasonable price.

Stayed for one night. It was great for one night. The setup of the room could have been better.its NY so everything is small, i get it. Bed was very comfortable. Food was not that great at the restaurant, multiple issues with simple directions with our food AND quality of the food. They tried to bring me rotten shrimp. They did try their best to resolve our issues. Checkout time is 12 noon, the morning of multiple knocks on the door BEFORE 10 A.M. asking if we were checking out soon.
