Really pleasant stay after we were tired out from a particularly vigorous wedding. We wished we’d been able to stay longer! You can access the Castle Ashby gardens nearby for free and they’re well worth a visit.

Stayed here as it was convenient for a wedding we were attending nearby. Check in was smooth and very friendly, and we were shown to our room, on the upper floor, in one of the cottages next to the main building, personally. The room itself was tiny. Described as 'cosy' on the website and this was definitely accurate, however it had everything we needed, including a really comfy bed, coffee pod machine and kettle with tea/coffee/milk and a couple of fresh biscuits, large wall-mounted TV (though I did keep bumping into this on my way to the bathroom), and hairdryer, plus a few things we didn't use including safe, ironing board, radio and fan. The bathroom too was very compact, with nowhere to hang towels. The shower cubicle was a good size though and the toiletries provided were lovely. Breakfast on Sunday was a set menu, with healthy juice shots, granola and plant-based yogurt, sausages, bacon, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and sourdough toast, plus tea/coffee/fruit juice, all locally sourced and fresh. The Falcon itself, is in the picturesque village of Castle Ashby and guests are able to visit the nearby garden and grounds of Castle Ashby itself with a complimentary pass. We didn't have time to do this but had a wander round the village and a quick peep at the Rural Shopping Yard. The hotel has a focus on wellness and offers various services linked to this, but as we were just having a quick stop-over we didn't look into these. There are a variety of larger room options

The communal area and restaurant were closed when we visited but there is a fab deli, 2 mins up road and linked to wider Castle Ashby estate. The Falcon is a charming, well maintained country hotel and restaurant. All the staff are friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and very helpful. Jackie (B) has made our stay particularly special. The cottage room is compact but very cosy and well equipped. Everything about the Falcon is first rate!

Our stopover at The Falcon Hotel was exemplary!. The room was immaculate, clean, comfortable & peaceful with high quality toiletries & facilities to make hot drinks. The dining experience was a complete experience of exceptional tasting food as was the breakfast tasting menu. We would definitely return to the hotel and try some of the activities on offer there.

The Falcon is a perfect hotel for a quiet getaway in a country location. Rooms are cosy and comfortable, (not spacious), and nicely appointed. Staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The bar and east lounge/patio are the ideal spot for a leisurely afternoon tea or evening snack.

Amazing experience with beautiful walks, the house and country pubs on the doorstep. Do try and make time for the bird ringing which is on sporadically but its a truly excellent experience. Eyas is a must also, fantastic food and wine. There was a small issue with breakfast on the morning after a wedding was held at the hotel. It was well resolved at the time.

If you want a stay that is relaxing in every way, then The Falcon needs to be on your list of places to stay. Our two night stayover was most delightful. Great room, good food and some lovely walks across the grounds of Castle Ashby. You would not believe that you are only 5 minutes from the main road, and only 10 minutes from the M1.

The service and knowledge of the staff were excellent. The hotel is beautifully presented. Just put a bin in the bathroom and have a plug that fits the bath, it wouldn't push down properly.

location was excellent for a quiet time. food in the restaurant and lounge was excellent. For accommodation, we were located in a cottage which was small and not enough space to walk around for two people. for the price paid for the room, it was the only down point.

Wonderful staff nothing was to much for them and so welcoming. The bed in the room was really comfortable, good quality linen and pillows. Had a selection tea and coffees in the room. The shower was amazing such good water pressure, the roll top bath was very deep and great for a good soak! We would definitely recommend a stay and hope to return soon.

Breakfast on Sunday was a set menu, with healthy juice shots, granola and plant-based yogurt, sausages, bacon, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and sourdough toast, plus tea/coffee/fruit juice, all locally sourced and fresh. The Falcon itself, is in the picturesque village of Castle Ashby and guests are able to visit the nearby garden and grounds of Castle Ashby itself with a complimentary pass. We didn't have time to do this but had a wander round the village and a quick peep at the Rural Shopping Yard. The hotel has a focus on wellness and offers various services linked to this, but as we were just having a quick stop-over we didn't look into these. There are a variety of larger room options
Stayed here as it was convenient for a wedding we were attending nearby. Check in was smooth and very friendly, and we were shown to our room, on the upper floor, in one of the cottages next to the main building, personally. The room itself was tiny. Described as 'cosy' on the website and this was definitely accurate, however it had everything we needed, including a really comfy bed, coffee pod machine and kettle with tea/coffee/milk and a couple of fresh biscuits, large wall-mounted TV (though I did keep bumping into this on my way to the bathroom), and hairdryer, plus a few things we didn't use including safe, ironing board, radio and fan. The bathroom too was very compact, with nowhere to hang towels. The shower cubicle was a good size though and the toiletries provided were lovely. The Falcon is a charming, well maintained country hotel and restaurant. All the staff are friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and very helpful. Jackie (B) has made our stay particularly special. The cottage room is compact but very cosy and well equipped. Everything about the Falcon is first rate!

Wonderful staff nothing was to much for them and so welcoming. The bed in the room was really comfortable, good quality linen and pillows. Had a selection tea and coffees in the room. The shower was amazing such good water pressure, the roll top bath was very deep and great for a good soak! We would definitely recommend a stay and hope to return soon.

Really pleasant stay after we were tired out from a particularly vigorous wedding. We wished we’d been able to stay longer! You can access the Castle Ashby gardens nearby for free and they’re well worth a visit.

Super quiet location, rooms were beautifully done and recently refurbished. Very much liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and super comfy bed. The communal area and restaurant were closed when we visited but there is a fab deli, 2 mins up road and linked to wider Castle Ashby estate. Overall a gem of a hotel and ideal for quiet break to relax and refresh.

Amazing experience with beautiful walks, the house and country pubs on the doorstep. Do try and make time for the bird ringing which is on sporadically but its a truly excellent experience. Eyas is a must also, fantastic food and wine. There was a small issue with breakfast on the morning after a wedding was held at the hotel. It was well resolved at the time.

If you want a stay that is relaxing in every way, then The Falcon needs to be on your list of places to stay. Our two night stayover was most delightful. Great room, good food and some lovely walks across the grounds of Castle Ashby. You would not believe that you are only 5 minutes from the main road, and only 10 minutes from the M1.

Our stopover at The Falcon Hotel was exemplary!. The room was immaculate, clean, comfortable & peaceful with high quality toiletries & facilities to make hot drinks. The dining experience was a complete experience of exceptional tasting food as was the breakfast tasting menu. We would definitely return to the hotel and try some of the activities on offer there.

Very bad experience. It's not a 4 starts hotel, it's just an overpriced AirBnB, no breakfast, no services at all. Also rude staff who didn't provide any info about the property and surroundings. The check-in consisted in a rude woman who handed the key, rushed us into the room and left. They didn't even provide the wifi password. This is not the way to treat guests. To avoid at all costs, despite the beautiful location.
