The service at reception and the restaurant was amazing! It was cooler than normal when we stayed in May so we would have liked the hot tub to be warmer but we did enjoy our stay.

Bei Akra Suites haben wir 4 Nächte im Deluxe Room verbracht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber, das Personal hilfsbereit und freundlich, die Lage sehr zentral in Imerovigli. Das Frühstückstbuffet hat sowohl eine große Auswahl an griechischen Spezialitäten als auch Zusätzliches wie Croissant, Cornflakes, frisches Obst etc. Der Gemeinschaftspool ist ein echter Hingucker in Richtung Caldera (vielleicht 2-3 Liegeplätze mehr wären ideal - aktuell sind es 4). Leider weichen allerdings die Online-Bilder unserer Suit vom Original ab. Es wird geworben „mit Caldera View“ - wir hatten zwar eine Caldera View, jedoch ist auf den Bildern im Onlineportal kein Dach vom Vorgebäude zu sehen, welches die Sicht stark beeinträchtigt (siehe angefügtes Bild). Es mag sein, dass es solche Zimmer gibt, doch wir haben dieses Zimmer nicht bekommen (alles ausgebucht). Am letzten Tag haben wir das Frühstück auf das Zimmer bestellt, damit wir auf dem kleinen, niedlichen Balkon essen können. Die Hälfte der bestellten Sachen wurden nicht serviert. Daraufhin sind wir ans Buffet gelaufen, um uns einen zusätzlichen Teller mit den fehlenden Sachen zu machen und ohne Umstände wieder ins Zimmer zu gehen. Wir wurden am Buffet angemotzt mit „Breakfast is from 8 to 11, its 11:10“… Ausgestatt sind die Zimmer mit Holztüren, die bei starkem Windzug, wie es in Santorini üblich ist, klappern. Letzter Punkt: eine zu laute Anlage (Lüftung, Klima, o.Ä. - keine Ahnung, was es genau ist) stört den Schlaf

Akra was a great location! Easy to get to from where the taxi drops you off. There's lots of steps in Santorini so I was prepared for the worst carrying the luggage but it was easy. Breakfast was very good. A mix of everything, great coffee. The gentleman helping with breakfast were so kind and helpful. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are very nice. We booked a deluxe suite because we wanted the plunge pool and view. The plunge pool was cold, we only used once. And the pool was right at our doorsteps with a lounge chair and table. We used the pool when it was hot out. The only downside is the public walkway outside, non guests would stop to enter to take pictures. I understand the view with the pool is killer, but some people are just ignorant. This is not the staff or hotels fault. I would highly recommend staying at Akra. I did a lot of research and honestly could not make up my mind and then settled on this hotel with no regrets. Walk down the street and Rent an ATV to drive around and explore the island. You can drive easily to Oia day or night. So much cheaper than a taxi. You need good runners for Santorini. So much walking and steps, but good exercise and we were good with that.

Not sure what to say about a hotel that sleeps 30+ people, but has pool chair space for 8 people only. One of our days was spent waiting for people to move so we could lie at the pool. Given that Santorini has few beaches, the pool is an attraction, so be prepared to arrive early or you’ll be outta luck. 2: Unless you have the one room in the hotel with a balcony view, you will not have a caldera view, despite what it says. Only the restaurant and pool have caldera views. 3.We were told by staff we could use a table near the pool, only to be rudely told by other staff to move since it did not ‘belong’ to us. We were also told that we weren’t allowed to use a spa pool right next to the main pool since it was not ours. Fair warning, we removed ourselves upon request, with no argument. Thereafter, in the hotel restaurant full of guests, the hotel manager Christina accosted us loudly, telling us we had ‘two complaints’ against us. Apparently Christina has zero clue about hotel management etiquette. Later, she apologized, saying she is ‘a very loud person’. As an apology, she offered to let us use the spa for an hour. Big deal - she failed to tell us we had to ‘book’ the spa – and then refused to let us use it, telling us she wasn’t going to pay the spa attendant to wait on us for an extra hour. 4.At 8 AM on two mornings, I was woken up by staff yelling at each other right outside my room. Essentially, this is a two star hotel with five star prices. Spend your money elsewhere.

Wonderful pool, perfectly situated between the bustle of Thera and the path of Oia. Restaraunt for all price ranges nearby and even on site. Beautiful breakfast with Calder views. We had pool in room which was great but would probably recommend the outdoor pool. Great service with attentive responses to all requests. Everything seems brand new and would recommend the Spa and Wine cave experience.

Das Hotel Akra ist in Wirklichkeit sogar noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Der Ausblick war fantastisch und atemberaubend – wir waren sehr froh, genau dieses Hotel gewählt zu haben. Im Poolbereich war immer ein Platz frei – dass Liegen nicht reserviert werden können, fanden wir super. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Umgebung. Wer einen entspannten Urlaub verbringen möchte, ist in diesem Teil von Santorini (Imerovigli) genau richtig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren stilvoll eingerichtet. Ein Hinweis: Die Fotos der Zimmer mit den "Jetted Tubs" auf Expedia können etwas irreführend sein, schaut lieber noch mal auf der Hotelwebsite. Die Musik am Pool war gut ausgewählt und lief fast den ganzen Tag – gefühlt waren es allerdings nur fünf Songs, ein wenig mehr Abwechslung wäre wünschenswert. Direkt am Hotel befinden sich gute Restaurants und zwei wundervolle Bars. Vielen Dank für alles – wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome with their professional and friendly service. Every interaction, from check-in to check-out, was handled with care and attention to detail. This is a beautiful little hotel with a stunning view of the caldera from the infinity pool. It is exceptionally clean, with modern and spacious rooms. The staff very all very friendly and accommodating and had an excellent attention to detail. They included many extras to make our stay special.

There is very little to say about our four days staying at this hotel: it was quite simply totally excellent in every possible respect. Where we thought that this hotel wins is the frankly unbelievable location, the staff, the amenities, the access (be warned: some other hotels are on *extremely* steep stairs and paths) and the room quality. We very much enjoyed the breakfasts and found that the property was very well maintained, clean and tidy and everything worked. Our room was surprisingly large and we had great service throughout our stay. BIG pluses (we thought): the hotel is on the path to both Oia (LONG cliff top walk on rough paths at times) and in the other direction Fira (about 40 mins down hill on well maintained paths). We thought Imorvigli was an ideal location to see the whole island - and is the highest point with truly stunning views. The town is also very nice and has a plethora of excellent restaurants all within an easy walk. Would we go back? Yes; very probably. While there must be literally dozens of other hotels and studios, on reflection we would find it immensely hard to beat staying at this hotel, if only for the views and access. Thank you!

HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous boutique hotel. Akra has the kindest and most helpful staff, the most unbelievably stunning views as well as being an all round flawless looking hotel. Very clean, beautiful pool, cannot recommend enough. The Gyros platter from the restaurant was the nicest thing we ate all trip!

We loved our stay at Akra suits. It was in a very convenient location short walk to fira. Clean and comfortable bed. Great view to wake up too. Great use of pool and our private hot tub. Lovely staff especially Terry who took care of all our needs and wants. Highly recommend

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome with their professional and friendly service. Every interaction, from check-in to check-out, was handled with care and attention to detail. The restaurant was a true highlight – delicious food, beautifully presented, and a great selection that satisfied every taste. Breakfast and lunch were all exceptional, and the atmosphere in the dining area felt both elegant and relaxed. Our room was modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The design combines luxury with practicality, and we appreciated all the thoughtful details. Everything was spotless thanks to the housekeeping team, who maintained a very high standard throughout our stay. We were really looking forward to our stay here, but unfortunately, this hotel fell short in several key areas. First and most surprising: the in-room hot tub was not heated. We were told this was due to high electricity costs and that the hotel had made a decision to cut power to all hot tubs. So despite paying for a room with this feature, it was completely unusable in May—the water was far too cold. Second, while we booked a room advertised with a Caldera view, what we actually got was a view of the hotel pool. All the rooms seem to face inward toward the pool area, not the open sea. This was quite misleading, especially when you’re expecting the iconic Santorini experience. Third, the hotel’s handling of our concerns was poor. Each time we brought up the issues, we were told to speak with the “manager” in the morning, but no manager ever appeared during the entire three-night stay. We felt completely brushed off and stuck in a room that lacked both privacy and comfort. Lastly, for those coming to Imerovigli to enjoy the famous sunsets: this hotel is not in the right location for that. It’s on the side of town where the sunset is obscured. If a sunset view matters to you (and in Santorini, it usually does), you’d be much better off staying at a hotel on the other side of Imerovigli with a direct line of sight to Oia and the sea. There are so many beautiful, better-located hotels in the area—do yourself a favor and choose one of those instead.

Leider weichen allerdings die Online-Bilder unserer Suit vom Original ab. We stayed in a honeymoon suite, the view was amazing and a room was smaller than pictures, but nice and very clean. The location is great, right in the middle of town, but never got too crowded. The hot tub is only 25° so too cold if it's windy. There is also no privacy in the hot tub , you are right in front of a restaurant. The bed was a little too hard for our taste. The food options are great, you have nice restaurants and cheap street food right there. Staff was polite, but housekeeping walked into our room even though do not disturb sign was on. Restaurant staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included and had a great variety. Overall beautiful property , we would recommend it.

This is a beautiful little hotel with a stunning view of the caldera from the infinity pool. It is exceptionally clean, with modern and spacious rooms. The staff very all very friendly and accommodating and had an excellent attention to detail. They included many extras to make our stay special.

The room we stayed is below restaurant, every time when chair moves in the restaurant, the noise was much amplified and absolutely unbearable in the room, as early as 7:30am in the morning and as late as 11:30pm in the evening…which is absolutely terrible, when informed the receptionist, she told us they are aware of the problem, but told us nothing they can do, seemed they do not really care about it at all. it is not really a room for 3 people, the so called third person bed is not a bed, is the sitting area along the window, very narrow and uncomfortable. Anyone consider to book a room for 3 people in this hotel Should not go ahead. The second day it was raining, water came in from the window seal along the the third person bed, which was really horrible and inconvenient especially considering it is a reasonably new building…

I booked the honeymoon suite and I think I got the best room on the property, if not the town. I visited Fira and Oia, but wow I am so glad to have chosen Imerovigli. It is more serene and quiet. Our tour guide called it the village of the honeymooners. The hotel is right off of the famous walking path, on the higher side. The private balcony and jacuzzi has a perfect unobstructed view of the sunset that beat the overcrowded square of Oia. What an amazing property.

This hotel was paradise for us. The staff is very friendly and helpful since before you arrive to the hotel. Staff members such Gorgia, Kiki, Eri, George, and Grenti make us feel very confortable (apologies for misspelling their names). Something to highlight is that the pools in this hotel do not expose you to other visitors of the island that pass by. We liked that a lot.

The hotel Is actually better than the pictures and descriptions tell on the website. Our expectations, especially the concierge and front desk service were all exceeded. The ladies that work at the front desk went above and beyond to satisfy all our needs. That includes reservations, recommendations for restaurants and trips and more. They recommended for example the catamaran trip around the beaches on the island and that was the highlight of our trip, completly unexpected and amazing.

Not sure what to say about a hotel that sleeps 30+ people, but has pool chair space for 8 people only. One of our days was spent waiting for people to move so we could lie at the pool. Given that Santorini has few beaches, the pool is an attraction, so be prepared to arrive early or you’ll be outta luck. 2: Unless you have the one room in the hotel with a balcony view, you will not have a caldera view, despite what it says. Only the restaurant and pool have caldera views. 3.We were told by staff we could use a table near the pool, only to be rudely told by other staff to move since it did not ‘belong’ to us. We were also told that we weren’t allowed to use a spa pool right next to the main pool since it was not ours. Fair warning, we removed ourselves upon request, with no argument. Thereafter, in the hotel restaurant full of guests, the hotel manager Christina accosted us loudly, telling us we had ‘two complaints’ against us. Apparently Christina has zero clue about hotel management etiquette. Later, she apologized, saying she is ‘a very loud person’. As an apology, she offered to let us use the spa for an hour. Big deal - she failed to tell us we had to ‘book’ the spa – and then refused to let us use it, telling us she wasn’t going to pay the spa attendant to wait on us for an extra hour. 4.At 8 AM on two mornings, I was woken up by staff yelling at each other right outside my room. Essentially, this is a two star hotel with five star prices. Spend your money elsewhere.

Absolutely brilliant stay at Akra Suites! Amazing service, the hospitality staff and restaurant staff couldn’t be more helpful. The room and surroundings were comfortable and beautiful. The location was exceptional if you want to stay away from the overcrowded Oia or Thira area. However Thira is a 10min walk away and everywhere else is very accessible from the hotel. Absolutely loved it! 😍

Their services were always available and attentive - they completely exceeded our expectations. The breakfast selection and view were amazing. Booking any service through them was made easy and efficient (especially the shuttle ride to the airport and car rental). Much love from New York (efcharistó).

If a sunset view matters to you (and in Santorini, it usually does), you’d be much better off staying at a hotel on the other side of Imerovigli with a direct line of sight to Oia and the sea. There are so many beautiful, better-located hotels in the area—do yourself a favor and choose one of those instead.
We were really looking forward to our stay here, but unfortunately, this hotel fell short in several key areas. First and most surprising: the in-room hot tub was not heated. We were told this was due to high electricity costs and that the hotel had made a decision to cut power to all hot tubs. So despite paying for a room with this feature, it was completely unusable in May—the water was far too cold. Second, while we booked a room advertised with a Caldera view, what we actually got was a view of the hotel pool. All the rooms seem to face inward toward the pool area, not the open sea. This was quite misleading, especially when you’re expecting the iconic Santorini experience. Third, the hotel’s handling of our concerns was poor. Each time we brought up the issues, we were told to speak with the “manager” in the morning, but no manager ever appeared during the entire three-night stay. We felt completely brushed off and stuck in a room that lacked both privacy and comfort. Lastly, for those coming to Imerovigli to enjoy the famous sunsets: this hotel is not in the right location for that. It’s on the side of town where the sunset is obscured. If a sunset view matters to you (and in Santorini, it usually does), you’d be much better off staying at a hotel on the other side of Imerovigli with a direct line of sight to Oia and the sea. There are so many beautiful, better-located hotels in the area—do yourself a favor and choose one of those instead.

I booked the honeymoon suite and I think I got the best room on the property, if not the town. I visited Fira and Oia, but wow I am so glad to have chosen Imerovigli. It is more serene and quiet. Our tour guide called it the village of the honeymooners. The hotel is right off of the famous walking path, on the higher side. The private balcony and jacuzzi has a perfect unobstructed view of the sunset that beat the overcrowded square of Oia. What an amazing property.

There is very little to say about our four days staying at this hotel: it was quite simply totally excellent in every possible respect. Where we thought that this hotel wins is the frankly unbelievable location, the staff, the amenities, the access (be warned: some other hotels are on *extremely* steep stairs and paths) and the room quality. We very much enjoyed the breakfasts and found that the property was very well maintained, clean and tidy and everything worked. Our room was surprisingly large and we had great service throughout our stay. BIG pluses (we thought): the hotel is on the path to both Oia (LONG cliff top walk on rough paths at times) and in the other direction Fira (about 40 mins down hill on well maintained paths). We thought Imorvigli was an ideal location to see the whole island - and is the highest point with truly stunning views. The town is also very nice and has a plethora of excellent restaurants all within an easy walk. Would we go back? Yes; very probably. While there must be literally dozens of other hotels and studios, on reflection we would find it immensely hard to beat staying at this hotel, if only for the views and access. Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant stay at Akra Suites! Amazing service, the hospitality staff and restaurant staff couldn’t be more helpful. The room and surroundings were comfortable and beautiful. The location was exceptional if you want to stay away from the overcrowded Oia or Thira area. However Thira is a 10min walk away and everywhere else is very accessible from the hotel. Absolutely loved it! 😍

We really enjoyed our stay at Akra. We were there during a quiet time of year and the resort actually closed for the season after our last night there. Beautiful property and can’t say enough good things about the customer service we received during our stay. Delicious food and you can’t beat the views from the balcony of the honeymoon suite.

Sehr schönes und ästhetisches Hotel in Imerovigli - tolle ruhige Lage! Das Frühstück ist super und das Personal sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit! Der Pool ist sehr schön und auch die Liegemöglichkeiten sehr vielfältig. Wir haben unsere Suite mit privatem Hot Tub sehr genossen und können einen Aufenthalt sehr empfehlen. Unbedingt auch am Abend in das Restaurant fürs Dinner gehen - bestes Essen während unserer Zeit auf Santorin!

HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous boutique hotel. Akra has the kindest and most helpful staff, the most unbelievably stunning views as well as being an all round flawless looking hotel. Very clean, beautiful pool, cannot recommend enough. The Gyros platter from the restaurant was the nicest thing we ate all trip!

Our stay in the Honeymoon suite was enjoyable. However as it was in late April/early May, it was still low season and so the hotel restaurant was not open. There is only the breakfast buffet — perhaps it is also because of the low volume of hotel guests that there weren’t too many options at breakfast as well. Also, it would’ve been great if the tv was a smart TV :)

Wonderful pool, perfectly situated between the bustle of Thera and the path of Oia. Restaraunt for all price ranges nearby and even on site. Beautiful breakfast with Calder views. We had pool in room which was great but would probably recommend the outdoor pool. Great service with attentive responses to all requests. Everything seems brand new and would recommend the Spa and Wine cave experience.

We had such a wonderful stay, but what truly made our experience special was Xara! She was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. We arrived after midnight, and she was there waiting to greet us, help with our luggage, and make sure our check-in went smoothly. She was just as helpful when we checked out, and her kindness and thoughtfulness really stood out. She is an absolute gem! All of the staff were fantastic and made us feel so welcome.
