Union Hotel Port

We booked a room on the new wing that does not have an elavator (which was clearly stated by the hotel), the room was a nice size and clean. We had the highest room that came with a balcony but sadly it rained while we were there so we didn’t use it. The nice things about the Union Port was it’s location. You are 3 minutes from the tram, 10 minutes walking to Karabatas Ferry Port and we could walk to Taksim and Karakoy. (40 minutes) The next best thing is the staff, especially Sam, he was always friendly and helpful. He arranged for our luggage to be brought up and down the room. For the price, it is a decent choice to stay at the Galata area.

No breakfast, bad elevator, bad wifi, ringing from the nearby school wakes you up every morning

Clean property with good transportation option(extra charge, but cheaper than in airport).Friendly personal. Hotel has 2 different buildings. One building does not have elevator.

Amazing hosts, thank you Sam and Mariam for the amazing service. The hotel was clean and situated in a very convenient spot with the kabatas ferry and M1 line nearby. One thing I would say is this may not be ideal if you have a car as there is no parking on hotel premises; however there are paid parking lots nearby. Overall it is a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend

We stayed at Union Hotel Port for two nights during our honeymoon trip to Istanbul. The interior of the hotel was very clean and well-maintained. We were aware in advance that our room was on the 5th floor of an annex building without an elevator, so it was not a major issue for us. Although the hotel is a bit far from the bus stop and metro station for airport access, the tram and ferry stations are right in front of the hotel, which made transportation quite convenient. The staff were very friendly, and we appreciated the generous supply of bottled water. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again in the future.

Even a single night stay at this magnificent hotel was memorable. From hotel transfer to Room service, everything was excellent. Sam was very polite and went out of his way to make us feel at home. I hope they will also start providing breakfast soon. Will visit again soon.

Das Hotel ist für einen Istanbul Aufenthalt, wo man eh den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist vollkommen ausreichend. Es wird jeden Tag sauber gemacht, aber auch gründliche sauber gemacht muss ich sagen. Das Personal ist überdurchschnittlich Nett. Frühstück wird in dem Hotel nicht angeboten, jedoch gibt es in der Nähe ganz viele Restaurants. Man kann viele Orte wie die Fähre, Bahnhaltestelle, Taksim Platz usw. in einigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichen. Das einzige, was ich nicht so gut fand ist die Hellhörigkeit der Zimmer. Wenn sich jemand im Flur unterhalten hat, konnte man das Gespräch 1zu1 mithören. Im Schlaf hat es aber nicht gestört, da es abends eigentlich relativ ruhig war. Vor dem Hotel ist ein verlassenes Gebäude, welches leider verhindert, dass Helligkeit am Tag in das Zimmer kommt. Dadurch war das Zimmer egal ob Tag oder Nacht eher dunkel. Wenn man das Licht angeschaltet hat, war es leider dennoch nicht wirklich heller. Alles in einem war es aber ein angenehmer Aufenthalt und eine Empfehlung wert. Man fühlt sich wohl :)

I recently spent 7 days at the Union Port Hotel in Istanbul. My stay was most enjoyable. A special thanks to Sam and his charming team who were very welcoming and always offered good advice. I would like to highlight the cleanliness of the hotel and the room, which had everything necessary to enhance my stay: minibar, safe, air conditioning, bottle of water, etc. In addition, the hotel is just a few steps from public transport and the funicular. I am already looking forward to my next stay.

İstanbul'da konaklamanın en keyifli, en huzurlu ve en güvenilir adresi. Oda, banyo tuvalet her yer tertemiz ve her gün oda temizliği yapılıyor. Personel çok ilgili ve çok nazik. Anne-çocuk misafirdik, ikinci evimiz gibi oldu. İçtenlikle ve gönül rahatlığıyla herkese tavsiye ederim..

We only had a one night stay as we embark on a cruise next day. Everything was as expected with our room and hotel. Excellent cleanliness. Hotel safe and quiet. We had a good nights sleep. Staff were very helpful they went above and beyond that night to make our stay good. Thankyou

The rooms, bed linen, bathroom were spotlessly clean, before coming to the hotel, they sent a message about how we can help you and what we can do for you. The first day we entered, we had a problem with the air conditioning, we didn't care because we checked in very late. When we reported the situation the next day, they were kind to us and gave us terrace rooms without any price difference. I had a lot of hotel experience due to my work. There may be problems in every business, the effort and surprises given for the solution made us feel very valuable and surprised us. I did not expect such kindness and interest. The location is perfect, the tram is very close. We had a great hotel experience and we left very pleasant. We thank Sam and the Union Hotel family for their generous and kind hospitality.

Oda çok temiz ve eşyalar güzeldi. Personel güler yüzlü ve yardımcı olmaya hazırdı. Çok memnun kaldık.

Sehr gute Lage. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichbar. Hotelpersonal sehr freundlich! Jeden Tag wurden uns Kaffee und Tee angeboten. Zimmer und gesamtes Hotel sehr sauber. Zimmer wurde jeden Tag sehr gründlich gereinigt und jeden Tag gab es eine neue Flasche Wasser im Zimmer. Top Preis/Leistung * sehr empfehlenswert.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist gut gewesen. 3 Minuten fußläufig von der Haltestelle entfernt. Das Zimmer war klein, hat aber ausgereicht. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche war aber leider zu schwach. Die Zimmer sind hellhörig, in der Nähe befindet sich eine Schule. Alles in einem würde ich die Unterkunft trotzdem weiterempfehlen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit.

Temizlik olarak gerçekten güzeldi özellikle odalara konulan şampuan duş Jeli çok iyiydi vücut losyonuna kadar düşünülmüş her şey temiz ve ferah kokuyordu. İlgileri çok iyiydi. Ancak fiyata sadece suyun dahil olması çok saçmaydi diğer her şey ücretliydi en azindan kahvaltı olabilirdi ya da atistirmalik olabilirdi ve yatakları aşırı rahatsız ediciydi sabaha kadar uyuyamadım öyle söyliyim. İki yatağı birleştirip tek yatak yapmışlar o da ayriliyor. Genel olarak iyiydi ama geliştirilebilir

Reasonable 3 star hotel. My room was very small and shaded by trees. On Monday morning it was very noisy from a school yard next door, followed by construction. Service is friendly and nice. Value for money is ok.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Sam and all the staff were so friendly. The service was excellent and perhaps the best we have ever had in a hotel. It’s in a very convenient area close to transport - trams, buses, ferries. Great selection of places to eat too. Our room was large for 3 people. Beds very comfortable. We were only a few tram stops away from the touristy areas. Only negative was the bathroom - it was dated and the shower was tiny.

The hotel is located in a convenient location yet we need to walk up about five floors to our room. The room itself is clean and spacious and has a view to the ocean. The staff is very friendly and offered us cappuccino in the morning. He would also like to provide other information upon request.

Otel konum olarak harika bi noktada. Vapur, tramvay veya 10 dk yürüyerek istediğiniz yere varabilirsiniz. Fakat kaldığımız oda aşırı küçüktü. 2 kişi odanın içinde hareket etmekte epey zorlandık. Personellerin hepsi çok nazikti. Tekrar tercih edeceğiz mutlaka

We had a fantastic stay at Union Port Hotel. Staff was extremely kind and helpful, our room was spotless and large and frequently cleaned. Very easy and short walk to the waterfront and Galata port, with easy access to taxis and public transportation. Not too far from Taksim but the walk is uphill. Not a complaint by any means because it’s still a short 15 minute walk just something to be aware of. Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

We came from Canada and had a lovely stay for 3 days at the Union Hotel Port. The room was comfortable and transportation is so close by in the area so it is easy to get to all the sights/shopping/restaurants. The thing that stood out most for us was the hotel staff, they were so kind, hospitable and helpful with any questions or requests we had. Amazing customer service and attention to detail. Would recommend!

1/2 block from tram but behind another building so quiet (no street or tram noise). FANTASTIC staff - very helpful & accommodating. Would make you tea or coffee and sit and talk about your adventures, touch base with your needs & see if you needed help getting where you wanted to go. HIGHLY recommend!

We found Union Port Hotel perfect for our needs. We arrived Istanbul a day before boarding our cruise ship. This hotel is located walking distance to cruise port though recommend a cab as it would be difficult to pull luggage even the relatively short distance. Union Port is a small boutique hotel (and coffee shop) with an exceptionally friendly staff. We requested that they organize transportation from Istanbul airport to hotel for 4 persons and lots of luggage. No problem. Our flight was a couple hours late arriving and that was not a problem. They were already aware of the delay when I texted. Upon arrival, we were met by Sam (I’m sure I’m spelling this wrong, sorry) who immediately helped the driver offload all our luggage and delivered to our respective rooms. And, he offered us Turkish coffee or water as we relaxed in the small but comfortable lobby area while checking in. The Turkish coffee is really good for you strong coffee drinkers. Sam shared information about the area and even walked with us to a restaurant a couple blocks away for a late dinner. He pointed out a bakery on the way for a good breakfast which we visited the next morning. And it indeed was good. Oh, we had forgotten to pack our European to US electrical adaptors. No problem, Sam loaned us a couple for the stay. In summary, the Union Port Hotel was perfect for our needs and Sam was as friendly and accommodating as one could wish making us feel safe and comfortable. From Castle Rock, CO

We had a wonderful and enjoyable stay at Union Hotel. The entire staff are very friendly, helpful, and respectful of their guests. The room is clean and equipped with all the necessary facilities. The hotel is center for the tram and train station to the main city and attracts. I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely come back here on my next trip.

Sam is incredibly the best host. He offers his knowledge on transportation and sites to see. Always offer you a cup of coffee or water when you arrive back to the hotel.

Beaucoup de choses sur l'établissement. Le positif: le personnel: remarquable, sympathique, super pro, à donner de bons conseils la localisation: à 3000 metres du bosphore, à 3min a pied d'une station de tram (Findikli), un tram important pour les touristes (à qq stations de la zone mega touristique des mosquees notamment). pas loin du funiculaire de Taksim (300 metres) (qui amène à Taksim en 2 min) Pas loin de Kabatas (8min à pied) qui est 1 petit port qui permet de partir sur le coté Asie facilement. Le negatif: Pas de petit dej possible a l'hôtel (apres cela est precisé en amont, donc pas de surprise). la rue même: la 1re fois, quand on arrive en soirée, ca fait peur; car l'hotel est collé à 1 bâtiment qui est en travaux total, le batiment est tellement proche que ce n'est pas possible d'ourvri la fenetre de la chambre. une chambre qui est tres simple, on est davantage sur du 3 etoiles, que du 4 etoiles...des petites choses manquantes sur la chambre notamment (dans la douche).

Hôtel parfait pour quelques jours à Istanbul : situé près du tramway et du port, il permet également de rejoindre la place Taksim en 5 à 10 minutes (selon votre endurance en montée car il y en a énormément à Istanbul). Le staff est exceptionnellement accueillant et chaleureux, toujours disponible pour proposer un café ou un thé, des recommandations quant aux endroits où manger, ou encore réserver un taxi (à un prix fixe, ce qui n’est pas négligeable vu les bouchons qu’il peut y avoir à Istanbul) pour le trajet jusqu’à l’aéroport. La chambre que nous occupions n’était pas très grande mais honnêtement suffisante vu que nous n’y passions que la nuit. Je n’hésiterai pas à y séjourner de nouveau !

This hotel is all about its amazing staff. They all go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and are so knowledgable and helpful in planning your day. They love spending time with you over a coffee any time of the day. The location is perfect for walking and catching various forms of tranportation. Dont judge this hotel by your first impressions...you walk down an alley to get to it.

滞在中、観光や食事のアドバイスを数多く頂きました。ホテルのスタッフは全員がとてもフレンドリーで、まるで友人の家に泊まったような居心地さがあります。滞在中、何度もコーヒーやお茶をご馳走して頂きました。併設のレストランはありませんが、近くにトルコスタイルの朝ごはんが食べれるカフェが朝早くから開いていましたし、トラムの駅も近く、場所的にも便利でした。イスタンブールに来たら、また泊まりたいと思います。

Nice hotel near tram stop. Super clean room and big shower. Staffs are very helpful. No breakfast on site but lot of cafe near by.

The Room/bathroom was clean, air conditioning was there but preferred open windows, great location for transport; easy access to town, great place for breakfast Just a minute away. If you prefer Starbucks / it’s 3 min away too. Best of all the stuff is so nice and friendly and helpful, you couldn’t ask for more!

Un hotel pequeño pero muy agradable, la amabilidad del personal, sobre todo Sam te informan de todo lo que necesitamos para ver Estambul. No tiene desayuno pero cerca hay donde tomar.
