Trolley Stop Motel Philadelphia Media

People are very nice. Had a very clean smoking room with usual noises outside. No ice and no vending machines but a convenience store within walking distance right across the street.

Was super convenient to go downtown Media PA. Clean really nice staff. Some room renovations were going on at the time but wasn't inconvenient. And a wawa right across the street, guess thats why they didnt have vending machines but big fridges with freezer

Brand new massive Wawa across the street with everything you need for a full meal or munchie attack at any hour of the day or night... overly convenient... Park in front of your room and walk or take the trolley to everything...

It is a clean small room for a small price. Noise carries easily from next door or outside. The power went out from 8:30 to 10 pm but that is not the motel's fault (but no backup generator).

It was just what I wanted. A nice, clean room in a safe area with plenty of parking.

This motel is the epitome of "gets the job done". The price is fair. My room was small but had everything you\'d expect from a place of this standard. It was clean upon entering. I appreciate the fact that everything worked, and worked well at that. The shower was hot, A/C ice cold, fridge and freezer got everything cool in no time, bed was comfortable. I didn\'t even try to turn on the TV but I\'m sure it worked.. owners seemed nice. Id stay here for another night again

Power just came back on as I got there. Not their fault. I was let in my room and told I’d get a key as soon as the WiFi came back up. I never got the key. So I was unable to leave my room to get food or explore the area

The room was clean and comfortable, and while it is definitely no-frills, the motel is in a great, convenient location. The only negative would be that the cleaning solution smell in the room was very strong - I needed to leave the window open for a few hours to clear out the bleach smell. However, I'm very sensitive to smells, so it may be that it wouldn't affect someone else (and I much prefer a clean room that smells of cleaning solution to a dirty one that doesn't.)

The rooms are not very big but they are clean and comfortable. The gentleman running the place is very nice and accommodate

I just needed a reasonably-priced place to get ready for an event I was in the area for and an overnight rest, so I didn't need all the bells and whistles, however I did require the shower to work and zero roaches, and that's where this place fell waaaaaay short. Check-in went fine. The guy at the front desk made it quick and easy, and accommodated my request for a first-floor room. The room was small, but fine for my needs. The bathroom was tiny, with a phone-booth sized shower stall, but appeared clean. I feel like the floors throughout could've used a good wet-mopping as it appeared there were some stains and the corners had some grit build-up, leading me to think they may not deep clean as much as quick sweeps when rooms are turned over. The furniture appeared fairly new, sheets were clean. Room had a weird smell I couldnt place. Also either prior occupant smoked in this non-smoking room or the smell permeated the walls. I was on a time crunch to get ready but the shower wouldnt turn on despite all my trying with a very basic faucet setup, didn't have time for mgmt to play plumber or give me a different room, so I went without and felt gross going to my event. Came back at 11pm to open my door to roaches on the door threshold. Was uneasy going to.sleep but was exhaused. Woke up at 4am to a roach crawling up the wall a foot from my pillow. Grabbed my stuff and got out. Mgr was more concerned about shower than roaches. Stay away!

Maybe the other rooms were at this particular hotel were a lot more clean and pleasant to sleep in. While the service was "up to par," the toom was not. The vent in bathroom seemed to be missing, a noticed what looked like a roach near the toilet. I dozed off for a second to wake up to a roach on the table see the pictures below. I told customer service agent what I experienced while showing her the pictures. All I received was a nonchalant response; "do you want to change rooms?" I dont think ive ever asked for a refund after a stay at a hotel .. I certainly should have in the case.

The place was absolutely filthy, our room was infested with roaches, they were on the walls and in the bathroom sink crawling everywhere, the sheets were stained, and the room smelled terrible. We were there for 10 minutes before we left, we couldn’t stay the night somewhere this disgusting.

It was fine for price and location was nice but i seen a roach crawl up from behind the nightstand on the second morning of a 2 day stay the room looked clean but i still probably would not stay again

The Trolley Stop Motel though small, it met my basic needs. They supplied ample towels and wash cloths. It's located across the street from a Wawa. However, I didn't sleep well on the bed. I killed a roach. The blanket I requested had two large burnt out cigarette holes and two small ones. The floor was dirty. There were burnt cigarette marks on the bathroom sink, and a large tear in the bathroom ceiling tiles. There is also peeling paint over the bed. The shower head is designed for those who are six feet tall or taller. Rooms by the steel staircase might experience large sounds when others are using the stairs. With consideration of the aforementioned, this motel is overrated and overpriced.

The employees were courteous. The place was very clean

The cleanliness is non-existent at this motel. We arrived, turned the light on and had to kill 4 baby cockroaches immediately. Absolutely disgusting sticky floors, hair covered and stained sheets that were unusable. Only two hand towels provided, no full size towels. No one cleaned the room the entire three nights of our stay. The staff are nice people and the area is great and safe, but I’ll never waste my money paying for this dirt box ever again.

I found 3 bedbugs in my room

It was affordable and adequate but other guests were noisy and stood outside until very late. There was no chair to sit on.

Clean, very small room

The room was clean; however the bedding had a blood stain on it. The 1st room had a smoke alarm that was chirping as did the 2nd room. I found the hush button so I could sleep. Walls are thin- can hear next door TV clearly. I did like that there were no bedbugs.

The rooms are really small the shower is unbelievable small. The room was clean but needs a lot of updating was there for 6 days and no one came to clean room we went down for clean towels

The Trolley stop is in a fantastic location, Media is amazing! The Trolley Stop how ever, wasn't. The rooms are shabby, crampt and not as clean as youd expect for $90. A night. The staff is also isn't very friendly or accommodating. Definitely stick to check out by 11 am. I stayed there while in between apartments and should have looked for a better deal but in a pinch What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

Best things: the location and the cleanliness. Worst things: the tiny bathroom and shower stall and the small room.

Good value for money. Small room but it was only me for one night. Only minus point is the lack of of a door chain.

The hotel staff canceled one of 3 rooms that we made reservation at 6pm while we were driving to their hotel on the check-in date. We still don’t understand why they did it before midnight of the date, which is a common practice in hotel business curtesy.

Desk person is very unprofessional. Hung up on twice when expedia had us call the property for a full refund after the room was dirty and the sidewalk was painted during checkout hours and was still wet. It caused damage to sneakers and we almost fell trying to get to the stairs. The stairs had painted footprints going down too. Expedia sent an email to the property requesting a full refund and the desk clerk stated that the manager makes a decision on IF we would recieve a refund. WE WILL be getting a full refund at the request of Expedia.

The hotel sold our room when we still had 1 day left. Came back to the hotel and used our key and came in to someone sitting in their underwear asking why we were coming into the room. Hotel had packed up all our stuff and had it in the office. They claimed the reservation was over and I produced proof it was not and there was 1 more day. Never ever had anything like this happen at a hotel. Incredibly unsafe and disrespectful.

Renovated-modern but small room Staff was calling at check-time for us to leave and knocking on door at 2 minutes after check-in as we were about to leave...beware of staff monitoring your check-out time to the minute, not the most customer friendly feature when your packing-up

Milan was awesome. He actually helped me check in a little bit earlier than the check-in time because I just got back on vacation so I was tired. Great service.

It sucked had Roaches crawling around. The stuff just opened my door without notice 😕 very bad experience

Great hotel, room was clean, bathroom was spotless, it had a min fridge and small microwave hotel was quiet .Right across the street from the trolley system that leads into Philly and the outskirts of Philly which is very convenient, walking distance from a Wawa. Very friendly staff definitely would book here again next time I come to Philadelphia

This is not a fancy motel and the furnishings are basic, but for the price it is a great value, especially given its convenient location in downtown Media. Short walk to great restaurants and coffee shops, and a quick shot to Philly. Recommended.

Clean but very basic room. Good value for money. Easy access to D1 Septa line and 476 interstate. I'll stay there again.

Allowed me to take the 101 Trolley to and from the 69th Street Transportation Center.
