Pug Seal is one of the most beautiful hotels with breathtaking architecture. Everything is high quality and very well designed. The rooms are spacious and there are lots of comfortable spaces to hang out in the courtyard. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is delicious. All the shopping areas are within a few minutes of walking distance. They also helped us arrange rides and contacted us ahead of time to see if we want to schedule private tours. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Loved the art surrounding the hotel. Very swanky and romantic. The staff was lovely and easy to communicate with (via WhatsApp.) The breakfast was delicious and the coffee/honesty bar items were very convenient. The location is great too - very walkable to all major attractions in town.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Pug Seal! The hotel was beautiful - incredibly clean and full of great amenities. The staff was wonderful from start to finish and always was willing to help ensure that our stay was perfect. The location of the hotel is city center and within close walking distance to several vibrant local markets. The breakfast that was included with our stay was also amazing and rivaled some of the amazing restaurants that are also nearby. When we come back to Oaxaca we will surely stay at Pug Seal again.

Great designer hotel for lovers of art and architecture. Service is wonderful — the people that work there are lovely and bend over backwards to make sure your stay is excellent. Excellent chef for morning breakfasts. A well stocked refrigerator in your room, lovely choice of tea and snacks all included in your rate which is very very refreshing as opposed to hotels that nickel and dime you!!

The hotel, the room, the staff, the amenities are all absolutely stellar. But…on weekend nights the sound of the nearby nightclub can be heard in our room and doesn’t stop until 3am. Light sleepers beware.

We picked this hotel for our honeymoon after reading a lot of good reviews. When we arrived the check-in experience was lovely, and our room was ready early too. The room was on the main floor and was very dark, but nicely decorated. There was a lot of noise because the kitchen was right there and throughout the day there seemed to be construction nearby. There was a lot of noise at night from a neighboring club (they provide earplugs in the room as this seems to be a consistent issue), but that wasn't our biggest problem. The second day, we left early for a tour and in a rush, I left my watch on the table in the room. When we returned in the evening, we opened the door to a smashed wine glass and a bottle of wine on the floor. These had been left for us as a honeymoon gift. The watch wasn't there on the table, but I assumed housekeeping moved it when they cleaned. The following day, I searched the hotel room and all of our belongings, and my watch was gone. I reported it to the front desk that night and they said they'd check with the housekeeping staff. When we checked out, they were very nonchalant, and offered no solution, reimbursement, or anything. Staying in a place like this was meant to be a treat, something we would rarely do, and was a significant amount of money. While there were some pros, this issue left a pretty bad taste in my mouth and I can't see myself returning to Pug Seal in the future. I work in the travel industry and will not recommend Pug Seal

A wonderful — and very beautiful — boutique hotel with kind and very efficient staff. They spoke English expertly and were eager to help in any way needed. The breakfasts provided were delicious! My favorite hotel stay to date. Pug Seal delivers in all aspects. Helpful and friendly staff, beautiful design in room and within the courtyard, peaceful and tranquil says it all. Recommend for any travelers looking for that elevated stay in Oaxaca. The staff helped plan day trips and also arranged airport transfers to and from. And the breakfast OMG was perfection. Traditional Mexican fare with an elevated twist. This was a spectacular and unforgettable stay. Don’t pass on Pug Seal, it’s just what you need.

Pug Seal was a WONDERFUL place to stay for our family. The location is perfect and the hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and super comfortable. The staff are all amazing and make you feel like you are at home. They took care of all of our requests and needs and made sure our time in Oaxaca was perfect. We cannot thank them enough for such a great stay and trip. If you are visiting Oaxaca Pug Seal is the best place to stay!

A wonderful — and very beautiful — boutique hotel with kind and very efficient staff. They spoke English expertly and were eager to help in any way needed. The breakfasts provided were delicious! The hotel is a short walk to the major tourist and shopping sites. I would definitely stay here again on future visits to Oaxaca!

Pug Seal is one of the most beautiful hotels with breathtaking architecture. Everything is high quality and very well designed. The rooms are spacious and there are lots of comfortable spaces to hang out in the courtyard. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is delicious. All the shopping areas are within a few minutes of walking distance. They also helped us arrange rides and contacted us ahead of time to see if we want to schedule private tours. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Loved the art surrounding the hotel. Very swanky and romantic. The staff was lovely and easy to communicate with (via WhatsApp.) The breakfast was delicious and the coffee/honesty bar items were very convenient. The location is great too - very walkable to all major attractions in town.

My favorite hotel stay to date. Pug Seal delivers in all aspects. Helpful and friendly staff, beautiful design in room and within the courtyard, peaceful and tranquil says it all. Recommend for any travelers looking for that elevated stay in Oaxaca. The staff helped plan day trips and also arranged airport transfers to and from. And the breakfast OMG was perfection. Traditional Mexican fare with an elevated twist. This was a spectacular and unforgettable stay. Don’t pass on Pug Seal, it’s just what you need.

The most outstanding person was Antonio. From the moment we walked in until we left. Other staff were nice. Everyone was young and accommodating. The breakfast bar was a disappointment. A few bowls of fruit, only one bowl of yogurt they had to keep refilling. A couple of pastries. They had menus for hot dishes. Very limited space & small sink in bedroom. Wasted space in bathroom and everything was very dark grey and black. Would not stay here again.

Fantastic hotel, staff, location, food and amenities. Wonderful hotel near the Zocalo and wonderfully appointed, comfortable, intimate, boutique hotel. Kudos to Nella and the breakfast staff for their warm, friendly attention. Great place and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a very relaxing place. Lovely!!!
