GK Mediterranean Village - Airport Free Shuttle by GK Hospitality Group

It was a lovely unit. However, the beds were very low quality. Also, when making transport reservations, make sure to give the exact number or they will give you problems. We had to take a taxi in the morning because they did not have enough room for us because our numbers changed. The air conditioning was wonderful.

I booked this property specifically due to the free shuttle to/from airport. The property itself was nice and very secure. (Beds not the most comfortable but that’s a personal opinion) Good communication from property manager. HOWEVER…..FREE TRANSPORTATION is not guaranteed. I had been very specific with how many adults and how many bags we were traveling with. The return van to the airport had already picked up 4 adults with 4 large bags so therefore not enough space for our 4 large bags and 4 bodies. We were told we could wait 25 minutes for them to arrange another van or we could pay for a taxi ourselves. With arrival time to the airport being of high importance, we were left with no option but to take a taxi and pay €20. I called and spoke to transportation manager and was told there is no reimbursement as we could have waited for another free van. The other people already in the van said the same had happened to them the day before and they too had to pay for a taxi. Disappointed in the customer service from the transportation end because the property was worthy of the stay for our purposes. Be aware. Would have rated a 4 if not for transportation issue.

Airport Shuttle was not easy to find due to multiple shuttles and confusion. However, both pick-ups were on-time and courteous drivers. Clean and spacious room. Quiet

Ask for airport shuttle at 5:30pm. Scheduled at 7:00pm. Only show up 7:45pm. We have better experience last time.

The room was very basic, but I suppose tolerable for a night. I would not want to stay longer. Communication was semi-concerning since you never see anyone. You get check-in instructions once your room is ready, so you cannot arrive earlier. But at least the shuttle was on time. The earliest you can get the shuttle is 3:45 AM. We had a 6:30 flight and arrived at the airport around 4:05 after picking up another group at a different location.

Good for overnight stay to catch up early flight. Once you check-in there is no place to go except to buy food near by store. Not accessible to public transportation even going to metro train station. We took a taxi from airport to hotel for eu20 even it is eu13 based on meter. Driver said eu20. Because airport shuttle resume at 3 pm and we cant wait. Thanks for granting early check-in we check out early 3:45 AM. Shuttle is 5 minutes early in front of the gate. There is no staff in the property. You must have your phone in rooming or use airport internet to communicate to staff by email or call when you arrive in airport. This is only good for transit overnight layover.

Property was convenient for the airport. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Chose it for the shuttle but was unable to use as our flight changed and there was no room on a later shuttle for us. Would book again

First of all, I am not a complainer. I have Gold status with Hotels.com and have stayed at many hotels, always leaving positive reviews when I receive good service. I’m sharing this because I believe it will help future guests. The property itself is new and clean. The main issue is the airport shuttle. As other reviews mention, you may have to wait a long time. It seems they wait until several groups are gathered before sending the shuttle. Our 9:00 p.m. shuttle included three groups, yet we were told the 8:00 p.m. shuttle was full, while the 7:00 p.m. one still had space. Considering the property has only five units, this was unexpected. Our request for a morning shuttle was also denied, and we were told to take the same time as two other groups. The next issue is the kitchen. There are no cooking utensils such as knives or frying pans. The only pot is a very small milk pan, and there is no microwave, so you cannot heat food. Guests should be aware of this. Lastly, the benefit that should have been provided based on my Silver status at booking—a complimentary bottle of wine—was not offered. Since no staff are on-site, communication is through WhatsApp. When I asked, they told my reservation was through Expedia and my status was not Silver. I contacted Hotels.com support, provided screenshots, and they confirmed my status. They responded quickly and negotiated with the hotel, but the hotel still refused to provide the wine. If you expect this benefit, confirm with.

Airport shuttle stops at 1030 and does not stop back untill 1500. This was very inconvenient.

Communication and transfers were excellent - the room was lacking however. There was an empty used shampoo shampoo bottle on the floor of the shower which made me feel like it was not adequately cleaned. The towels were scratchy and poor quality and there were loose tiles on the floor by the bed. Additionally there was a bottle of water in the fridge which seemed to have been opened an refilled - it smelled terrible of chlorine. It was fine for a stay from 10p - 6a but I think housekeeping and matintence should be addresses

We had cockroaches in our room . One felt on my daughter hair , she was terrified. Stay there for fews minutes and left . Sleep at the airport instead . It end our trip very bad . One guy though it was funny and owner said it was normal that time of year . Well never mention on the web , bugs included . Horrible experience . They don’t want to pay me back , lack of respect . Never , never again .

Transfer hat gut geklappt. Zimmer war scheußlich und ich hatte den Eindruck, das Bett war nicht frisch bezogen. Für meine Begriffe hat darin schon jemand geschlafen. Bad war nicht geputzt und schmuddelig.

We loved the property. It was quiet, clean, safe. The room was very clean. It was close to the airport and we loved the airport shuttle. Definitely we would come back again.

This was such a cute place to stay. The room was spacious and cleaned immaculately. The check in process was smooth. It’s very easy to get in contact with the staff. The shuttle service was great. I would stay here again.

Shuttles were right on time. For some reason the cleaning person left all the carnage inside the room . Probably forgot cause it was all in a carnage bag ready to be carry outside. Other than that everything was totally fine.

Convenient Location Near Airport, But Serious Safety and Comfort Concerns I stayed at GK Mediterranean Village – Airport Shuttle for two nights, June 17–18, 2025. While the location and basic amenities were convenient, several issues made the stay uncomfortable and raised safety concerns that future travelers should be aware of — and which I hope the property owners take seriously. Pros: Excellent proximity to the airport (about a 10-minute drive) Free airport pickup, which was on time and appreciated Room was clean upon arrival Strong air conditioning A pleasant coffee shop just a block away Restaurants are within a 10-minute walk WiFi worked well throughout the stay Cons: No elevator and no warning provided when booking. Our room was on the 2nd floor, up a steep staircase, with no ramp or lift — very difficult to manage with two large suitcases after a long international trip. Overly complicated key situation: A code is required to open a lockbox to retrieve the room key Separate keys for the front gate, main building, room, and room lock Key is required to exit the room, the building, and the front gate — which presents a serious fire and safety hazard No smoke detectors in the room, adding to the safety concern Shower water temperature extremely hot, with no anti-scald protection No bottled water provided — only local tap water The bed was extremely firm, beyond what most travelers would consider comfortable No phone in the room, and no reception on site

We found our room to be very clean and well appointed, everything we needed was there and in great condition. The shuttle service was a wonderful convenience and much appreciated. However, it would have been even better if there was an option for airport pickup around 2:45 or 3:00pm to align with the 3:00pm check-in time. Unfortunately, the beds in Room 2 were extremely uncomfortable, it honestly felt like sleeping on concrete. This really affected the quality of our stay and is the main reason we’re giving a 3-star rating instead of 5. With more comfortable beds, this would have been an excellent experience overall.

Great option for an early flight. Very clean and secure. Exactly as described. Surprisingly quiet. The neighborhood is very walkable and safe, with good options for cafes and restaurants. Communication w/property manager was exceptionally prompt. Shuttle to the airport was spot on - arrived exactly as promised with a very chipper driver (at 3:45AM). WiFi, however, was not sufficient for internet access, so I would not recommend if you plan to work from the property.

The shuttle service is a small van that works by a reservation system. Our flight was late so we had the choice of waiting several hours for another hotel shuttle or spending $30 on a cab. It may have been just because it was the middle of the night, or the entrance being in a dark alley with graffiti everywhere and slummy buildings but the location seemed poor; we paid less for places on the beach in tourist hotspots The AC didn’t work and the shower head was broken so water sprayed out of the stall onto the bathroom floor. The room was not what we expected — instead of a queen bed, we got two twins — and the mattress was very, very firm. Other than all that, it was nice.

The property is updated and very nice. It was perfect for one night before we flew out of the nearby airport. Heavier curtains on our windows to block out the courtyard lights would be great! Otherwise, it was a comfortable, safe, and convenient place and we would stay there again!

The stay was 1nt and required to be close to airport. Picked this accomm as reviews were good and offered an airport transfer included in price. One thing i did not like was the studio had a window that looked out into public hallway and a very thin rollerblind which was not blackout. Other guests were able to see in as i tested this by going outsude the room to look in through this said window. As a solo female traveller this was slightly disturbing and made the experience uncomfortable with a bad nights sleep.

The bds were like rocks and so uncomfortable If I wanted to stay in an office building with a bed I would have booked it. This is far from a hotel or suite Would not recommend

The apartment is in what appears to be an upcoming neighborhood with several good places to eat within walking distance. ( I especially recommend Syndetiras only a 4 minute walk away.). The apartment was clean and the courtyard was quaint, but needed better lighting. Our only complaint was the beds were really hard and our air conditioner didn’t cool, but the owner was friendly and quickly replied to our messages concerning the AC. The free shuttle to the airport is a nice perk and was exactly on time, but you will be sharing it with other people. In conclusion, if the beds are upgraded, I would stay there again.

Overall a very nice place. However, there were some issues with the shower temperature control. We were given little shampoo and body wash packets, which were a bit odd to use

It was great. Pick up instructions excellent & quick ride to a nice little local up and coming neighborhood. Lots of history walking around. Big grocery store & lots of eateries around town square. A very famous bakery there too. Keep your translated as not many speak English. Cozy quiet efficient , like a mini apartment. Entry instructions brilliant. Felt very well accommodated.

I booked last minute after a flight was cancelled. The property got in touch straight away with check in instructions and was incredibly responsive when I had a problem as well as help with the airport shuttle. The apartment itself was lovely, clean and modern.

We waited outside the airport for one hour, their shuttle driver left, thats what the customer service person was texting us, then she keep lying and saying due to Good Friday he stuck in the traffic, which was a total lie, because it was 12 am. After waiting for an hour finally the shuttle came but that was not for us. The shuttle driver told us to go and take a taxi because we’re not his list. Then at 12:30am we took taxi and paid €35. Even the customer service person stop responding to our messages. So unprofessional.

Close to the airport. Shuttle service if you need to be close to the airport. Newly renovated. Very clean. Walk to near by fun neighborhood. Not the center of Athens, but good food and bakeries.

Had an early morning flight and booked this stay the same day. Staff and shuttle service were amazing. Great amenities for a one night stay. Recommend.

Marina and the rest of the GK Mediterranean Village team were fantastic. They responded very quickly via WhatsApp and every shuttle was organised efficiently and was extremely punctual. This stay was for one day due to the fact we had a flight from Athens airport the next day. I couldn't have had a better experience with them!

I did not like waiting until the last minute for instructions for accessing our room. Owner could have kept in touch personally instead of sending repeat prewritten emails requesting my passport.

One has to have whatzup to communicate with them. The coding provided to us were not good so we had to call again. Otherwise, nice clean place good for longterm stay.

Very responsive staff via WhatsApp and Expedia messaging. Detailed check-in instructions. The shuttle service needs to be booked 72 hours in advance. Definitely a 15-minute ride to the airport. Keurig coffeemaker was a nice touch. When you unlock the outside gate and the door, don’t forget to lock them on the inside.

The airport shuttle is very nice. The rooms are very nice. I don’t love the area of town it is located in but it’s Athens and it’s close to the airport and it has a gate that makes it feel very safe. Restaurants are within walking distance.

The property is beautiful and very convenient for airport access, also only a 10 minute drive away from Porto Rafti which is absolutely stunning and well worth a visit. All at GK Mediterranean were more than accommodating in every aspect, and communication was fanatstic. I will be sure to stay here again on my next trip to Athens and will recommend to friends and family

Pro: Lovely place close to the airport, convenient for early flights and short connections. Con: A bit out of the way if you want to get to Athens. Traveling by public transportation means you need to get a bus and then a train. Otherwise get an Uber

The area was fairly quiet. The room was like a small apartment. Very roomy.

The property is nice and is secure with a locked gate from the street. We rented the two bedroom. The bedrooms were a good size, but the kitchen area was small and no living room. The location is good given it is close to the airport and there are restaurants, groceries within walking distance.

The property itself was in good condition. But the surrounding area was sparce. Meaning, if your looking for a secluded safe place, then this is it. But if you're interested in an area with things to do, then try Athens.

This was an excellent place to stay great local food nearby, and close to the airport. Would definitely recommend!

This property is okay for a quick turnaround while waiting for a flight from the Athens airport. We did not feel comfortable wandering around the area as it felt a little unsafe and dirty but the property itself is immaculate. Close to a supermarket, a few restaurants, bakery and coffee shop. I would recommend that the property replace the huge dining table in Unit 1 with a seating area instead. For the short overnight stay, it was fine. Communication was excellent and shuttle to/from the airport was very convenient.

We needed somewhere to stay for a few hours traveling back from Santorini and to Istanbul- the driver was easy to find/ picked us up on time both ways- good food in walking distance- Jenny’s cafe was lovely. Great spot for a short stay but if you are spending any length of time the location would not be best. Very convenient to airport!

We stayed at GK Mediterranean Village one night between flights. It was a quaint place in a gated area (lock box entry) and perfect for what we needed. We were able to walk to a grocery store and local eating establishments. We had a 2 bed, 2 bath loft (spiral staircase to the loft was a bit tight and had to be careful of the slanted ceiling). The place was cute & spacious with a complete kitchen. It was modern & clean (other than some ants in the bathroom). The free transportation from & to the airport was amazing - great communication and on time.

This was an excellent place to stay great local food nearby, and close to the airport. Would definitely recommend!

The courtyard is as pretty as the pictures show. My wife and I have had a wonderful stay each of the several times that we have stayed here. The rooms are nice and clean. Some light does come in from the courtyard into the room through the smoked glass, but that wasn't a problem for me. The staff is excellent at communicating and very responsive to any questions. They provided easy to follow details of how and where to meet the shuttle, and overall we had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend staying at GK Mediterranean Village. There are several dining options that are within walking distance. My wife and I enjoyed a delicious pizza at Pizza Michele. It was fun watching them toss the pizza dough in the air and they had a great little courtyard with tables where we enjoyed our pizza.

Good option for airport access. Note that not many walking distance restaurants were open on Sundays but Pizza Michele was excellent!
