We loved our stay at Cooks Bay Hotel. The view from the room was stunning with a nice big balcony and lots of places to lounge. The kitchen was stocked with whatever we needed. The hotel staff was very friendly and the pool and cabanas were the absolutely best. We also enjoyed the restaurant which had incredible drinks and food. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely time at Cooks Bay hotel. We had a view of the gorgeous water and sunset. I loved their outdoors options: the pool with floating beanbags, lawn chairs, sun beds and a sandy beach area as well. It was low key and upscale at the same time. Restaurant was very good and right at the waters edge. (and there is an amazing food truck right across the street!). If I am lucky enough to go to Moorea again I will stay there. The people who work there are very kind.

Room is neat and modern; good layout. Bed is really comfy. Right out front is a good pool that I didn't use but I did do lots of snorkeling right out front of that which was excellent. Lots of coral and fish and some turtles too. Nice restaurant on site but we had a car and tried a bunch of the nearby ones also which were also great.

Pristine room, lovely pool and beach area with available lounge chairs and sun beds. I love that there is a table with reef safe sunscreen available. Restaurant on site is very nice and tasty. Nice staff. The only thing missing is better in-room coffee options but can overlook that.

The property is beautiful and clean! The view out to the pool and bay is spectacular. The hotel provides pool towels, free kayak rentals, and snorkeling equipment. The bridge between the hotel and restaurant provided a great place to see fish and we even saw a beautiful octopus one morning-- so special!

The front reception staff ware excellent , helpful and friendly. They assisted with our excursions and dinner reservations. The restaurant attached was good also but selection was fair. Upon getting in the first day the floors had long black hair but after that everything was convenientl for us.

We had 2 identical rooms which were very nice and relative new. The room was cleaned daily and one of the best beds and showers. Overall a nice resort with a boutique like feeling and very relaxing place. The restaurant has many options for everyone’s liking and the service was good. Would return if we are back in the area and recommend for families and couples.

Great place to make a home base for Moorea. Close driving to great restaurants, shopping, and activities. Property was super clean and well maintained and lots of sun loungers available. The reef just off the beach is amazing, with lots of wildlife, can borrow snorkel from reception. Only issue we had (but didn’t let reception know so might be an easy fix), bedside lights weren’t working and door into room was very difficult to open/close (needed to be slammed)

If beach is what you want go to a different side of the island, Beach is nasty here filled with corals and debree, the floor in the rooms are white so you see all the dirtyness from past guests/usage, since it is to hard to clean the material they made the floors with. no late check out even if you want to pay for it. Service is amazing and the only reason why I would consider coming back but the hotel isn’t nice enough to spend time at. Average hotel at best definitely better options on the island.

Truly wonderful. The staff were absolutely fantastic, who were incredibly helpful, friendly and kind. The ocean and mountain view from our room was amazing. We also loved the size of the enormous balcony to relax and the spaciousness of the apartment.

This is a boutique hotel in a really nice area. The room had a really nice deck overlooking the ocean. Snorkeling and the reefs in the hotel were spectacular (you don't even need to snorkel to see the marine life!). Beautiful sunsets from the deck! We really enjoyed our stay.

Large verandah or balcony with outdoor table and chairs and two chaise lounge chairs. Pool with use of kayaks and life jackets. A dock for lagoon snorkeling just to the left of the restaurant entrance. Fish and some turtles in good view. Can walk or kayak to a grocery store. It was perfect for a weeks stay

New and very modern property with beautiful views of the ocean as well as the mountains and Cook's Bay. Fun pool area, with lounge chairs around the pool and also facing the ocean. Great restaurant. Wonderful staff! We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit on the 1st floor and loved the indoor and outdoor space.

The hotel has stunning views of the ocean. The pool is excellent and the staff were friendly. For the best views book the rooms with direct ocean views on 2nd floor. There are many dining options nearby about a 15 minute walk.

The staff and front desk was exceptionally helpful with our activities and any requests booking transportation. The property is in great shape, very clean with amenities and the infinity pool is gorgeous. The beach is literally a couple of steps off of the pool deck. We can’t wait to return in the future.

Good location. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. Good values for money. There are different places to eat at walking distance although at night the streets aren’t lit up. I managed to do it with no issue though.

Clean good hotel, rooms are spacious, can sleep up to 4 people. Problems : room was not ready for 2pm as promised but rather 4h30 pm. They offered the handicap room for the mean time... unfortunately AC was not working! All this and no gesture from the staff ... this is unacceptable at $400 a night. Elevator is really bad...so slow and noisy, they need to fix it.

Nice new hotel and friendly staff. Unfortunately, there were two minor faults: 1.) The first two days the coffee (espresso) in the restaurant was excellent. Then its quality dropped... no crema. The young lady did her best, but it was obvious that her level of education was not enough to solve this problem. 2.) On departure, I asked if we could have check-out an hour later, at 12:00 instead of 11:00. This was refused, even though the hotel was empty.... Strange, for a hotel of this level, but whatever. Normally I would have given 4 stars instead of 5... but this time I was more lenient. However, the service should match the price. So I hope the staff will get trained.

The staff at Cooks Bay is outstanding. Every person I encountered was helpful and kind. My room was lovely. The beding was comfortably and the AC worked great. The pool bar was enjoyable as was the pool and beach area. I ate at the resturant once for each meal. The Mahi Mahi dinner was delicious. I really loved the sauce on the fish. The continental breakfast was perfect, coffee was strong, and the croissants buttery. Lunch was a huge blue cheese burger, yum. I really enjoyed my stay in Cooks Bay. I rented a scooter on site gor one day and drove around the island, just stunning views! Also, went diving with Moorea Blue Diving, awesome experience. A modern hotel at the entrance to Cooks Bay – a beautiful fjord of the tropics. The aircon and wifi work very well, the restaurant is excellent and occupies a picturesque waterfront spot, and the kitchenette (with induction hobs) is very helpful, a supermarket is within a 12 minute walk. A new spa opened across the road (Maison Baia) and the 1.5 hour Polynesian massage experience was truly excellent. For diving, Nemoz dive centre may be able to offer pick-ups from the hotel. A modern hotel at the entrance to Cooks Bay – a beautiful fjord of the tropics. The aircon and wifi work very well, the restaurant is excellent and occupies a picturesque waterfront spot, and the kitchenette (with induction hobs) is very helpful, a supermarket is within a 12 minute walk. A new spa opened across the road (Maison Baia) and the 1.5 hour Polynesian massage experience was truly excellent. For diving, Nemoz dive centre may be able to offer pick-ups from the hotel. Transfer from / to the ferry is by taxi.

Overall best property on Mo’orea. From what I saw this property is the best value on the island. Everything is relatively expensive here but this hotel in in a middle range price wise but is run like the much higher priced luxury resorts. It’s newer and in better shape than more luxe places. Extremely clean. Very good restaurant. Excellent friendly staff. On the beach but not a great swimming beach. Good snorkeling, not great. But boat tours leave right from the hotel and there are excellent beaches within a short taxi ride. Good restaurants and shops within walking distance. Taxis are expensive but so are rental cars. You can save by taking taxis or going on guided tours.

We loved our stay at Cook’s Bay. Property was newly renovated and rooms were clean, modern, and spacious with a big balcony. Hotel situated on one of the best locations on the island, was very easy to get around with a car rental. Restaurant was fantastic, the best we ate at during our stay in French Polynesia. We were only planning on eating there once but ended up going for just about every meal. Pool was clean and refreshing. Reef around resort was nice too being able to see lots of colorful fish just standing on bridge to restaurant. We would definitely stay at Cooks bay again if we come back to the beautiful island of Moorea.

Good location. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. Good values for money. There are different places to eat at walking distance although at night the streets aren’t lit up. I managed to do it with no issue though.

The Cooks Bay Hotel lived up to the strong ratings. Beautiful property, comfortable room, great amenities, and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The location was top notch. In particular, it was a great place to stay while also having a rental car. You wouldn’t really need to leave the property, but we enjoyed brief excursions to other nearby beaches, Belvédère viewpoint, and stores/restaurants. I’d return to Moorea and stay at the Cooks Bay Hotel in a heartbeat.

The hotel has stunning views of the ocean. The pool is excellent and the staff were friendly. For the best views book the rooms with direct ocean views on 2nd floor. There are many dining options nearby about a 15 minute walk.

Cook's Bay Hotel is a beautiful hotel in a magical location on Cook's Bay. My room was a spacious suite with a bed room, large bathroom, living room with a kitchen counter (refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, water heater, cooking plates) and balcony overlooking Cook's Bay. Great pool. Walkway to the restaurant over the corals gives you views at the life in the lagoon. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is possible to walk to a bank and grocery store (ca. 15 minutes), but there is no sidewalk.

We had a lovely time at Cooks Bay hotel. We had a view of the gorgeous water and sunset. I loved their outdoors options: the pool with floating beanbags, lawn chairs, sun beds and a sandy beach area as well. It was low key and upscale at the same time. Restaurant was very good and right at the waters edge. (and there is an amazing food truck right across the street!). If I am lucky enough to go to Moorea again I will stay there. The people who work there are very kind.

While limited dining, the food was very good. Cute spot. The snorkeling was bad. There was a bunch of seaweed all over the beach and water. Would have been nice if it had been scrapped up. Staff was great, certainly not a luxury location.

Very nice hotel in Moorea with EXCELLENT food (probably the beat on the island). Highlights: Friendly staff, spacious rooms (we had a mini suite for 7 nights), nice pool, beautiful setting, easy parking during our stay. Bryan at the front excellent was great, the staff at Le Cook restaurant were awesome and so positive. We have enjoyed our discussions with the French crew (Simon and Leo), the Brazilian / Fortaleza Maria as well as the 2 local vahinés Yvette and Liane. The only lowlights (and they were minor) - as the hotel got full and given the close proximity to the pool, it was not pleasant to be woken-up (on the last 2 nights) by 2 obnoxious kids yelling before the am for at least 45 minutes. No real beach access and cannot get out in the water unless you plunge on the choppy side of the hotel / near the restaurant. In recap, exceptional hotel, super clean too , best food, professional yet friendly staff. A no brainer if you want to spend a few days or weeks on the island.

Nice, small hotel with beautiful pool area. The rooms were large and clean and the second floor balcony was comfortable (though I wish our room had been closer to the beach for a better view- we were looking over the roof of the restaurant). One strange thing is they do not hand out more than one key. We made a big deal out of it, as my husband and I do different activities and we really needed two keys, and they finally gave us a second keyboard. The restaurant has a great view, but the food and service are so so. The snorkeling was surprisingly good. I saw a turtle, loads of fish, and some live coral.
