Booked this hotel for a last minute emergency. It was around 8pm, well after check in time. It accepted my booking and took the money from my account immediately. Upon arrival at the hotel, there was a sign on the door that read, "we are booked for the night. I apologize for the inconvenience." There was no staff available to speak with. I tried calling the location and no one answered the phone. Let me add there were not a lot of cars in the parking lot. I tried getting a refund from Hotels.com and after several attempts of trying to contact the property, I was told a refund was not possible and the cancellation policy would apply. However, how was I supposed to follow the cancellation policy if I booked same day. As a result, I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company and was left scrambling to find a new hotel for the night with my two year old daughter. They should not have accepted the booking if they were full for the night.
