Staybridge Suites Rochester - Mayo Clinic Area by IHG

We were in Rochester for the Mayo Clinic and this hotel was perfect.

We love staying here and it has become our home away from home with our frequent visits to the Mayo. You can catch a shuttle at the hotel to go to the Mayo Clinic’s and St. Marys, which is quite convenient. We have met so many friendly people here from all around the country. Clean rooms and friendly staff, plus donuts at the end of breakfast.

Breakfast was standard for a hotel at this level. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The suite was very small, could not fit my suitcase into the bedroom. The TVs were huge and right up against the couch and bed, making it difficult to watch.

We had a great stay with our toddler. The room was the perfect size for our family with room to move around. The hot tub was hot and pool refreshing. The breakfast was plenty and satisfying along with the included donuts. I’d stay at this hotel again.

Check-in was at 3:00. We arrived at 4:10 and had to wait for our room to be available. We had two vehicles with us and were not informed until check-in that the second vehicle would have to be left at an off-site location five blocks away. The worst part was that the hotel room walls were paper thin. We could hear the actual conversation of the people in the room next to us, and they were not being loud. I’ll spare you the details of the bathroom noises we heard. So unless you want to whisper to have a private conversation, plan to arrive well after check-in time, and only have one vehicle, don’t stay here. Everything else about it was great, which is what makes this experience so frustrating.
