Just wow! So many things we loved about this charming hotel… the fantastic location across the road from the lake , a first floor balcony that overlooked the town square and a view of lake, clean room and comfy bed. Easy walk to ferry terminal and all the dining options. One of the highlights of this hotel was the infinity roof top pool - we spent every afternoon taking in the view from this wonderful spot. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return next time in Italy. Thank you 🙏

location directly on the lake with breathtaking views cleanliness some of the staff weren't the friendliest or willing to assist much. private parking garage, although not integrated into property building, was a big plus very centarl location with access to cafes, restaurants and shopping and ferry to travel around the lake.

Séjour très agréable, hôtel très bien situé face au lac. En revanche, ce n’est pas noté, mais ceux qui prennent une chambre dans la dépendance n’ont pas accès à la piscine. Après le gérant de l’hôtel était sympa et nous a laissé l’accès lorsqu’il n’y avait personne. Le ferry se trouve à 5mn à pied de l’hôtel pour rejoindre Varenna et Bellagio.

Nadat er wat mis was gegaan met de reservering was het personeel zeer behulpzaam bij het oplossen van het probleem. Het hotel ligt fantastisch mooi tegen het Comomeer aan en de boot stopt voor de deur zodat je de eigen auto niet nodig hebt. Het hotel beschikt over een grote parkeergarage, zodat je niet bumper aan bumper langs de straat hoeft te parkeren

If you are going to Como, stay in Menaggio! Not as crazy busy as Varona and Bellagio. The Hotel was in a perfect location above a square, right on the lake, with cafe's and restaurants and shops. Beautiful views of the lake! Great service, super friendly staff. We had a lake view room, it was spacious and comfortable and clean, and great AC! The rooftop pool is tiny but a nice addition for a quick dip on a hot day.

Great location and we really liked Menaggio. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Liked the owners / management team. Staff in the cafe was moody and inconsistent. Hotel is good value. Menaggio is a little calmer and more real compared to trendier Bellagio and Varenna.

Great location and a sweet small hotel. The hotel reception is in the cafe so there isn't much space or room for luggage. Our room was spotless and had an incredible lake view and the pool views were spectacular. The hairdryer needed replacing - outdated for 2025!

The staff/owner is not very welcoming. We had two reservations and one explicitly for a family room with two adults and child. He insisted on billing for an additional guest - until we showed the reservation made which proved we had booked and paid for three. Leading to the next point- this was a ‚book now, pay later‘ reservation but the hotel pulled the full amount without any communication or approval several weeks later. Lastly, one room had low and slanted ceilings- in bedroom and bathroom which lex. To multiple head collisions with the ceiling. The hotel also attempted to double charge the garage. One last point, the advertisement/promo photos are deceiving. Very disappointed. I am a gold member and this is a first.

We stayed here for 2 nights in early October 2025. It’s not the fanciest hotel but it has a great location. The bed was hard. Pillows were good. Great shower with hot water! Loved that our balcony opened up with a view of the lake. Lovely shops and dining all around. If you want more of a budget friendly stay in a good location close to the ferry then this will work well for you!

I paid 200 euro per night at 9.30 PM, but they have the latest check-time at 7 PM as that's mentioned on Expedia. Consequently, i was not able to enter the room. I was waiting for 5 hours for a manager coming. It's not acceptable. Poor level of communication with that manager as well.

Hotel location was amazing. We picked Managgio because it is less busy. We took the ferry to varenna and Bellagio. We spent about 2 1/2 in Bellagio and were ready to go back. Stay was nice beautiful views. One con our remote control batteries were dead and no one could help us. We like to enjoy our evening tv to relax

We loved our stay at Hotel Du Lac! We really enjoyed being in Mennagio and the location right on the main square was wonderful. We had easy access to restaurants and the main waterfront area. Our room was clean and our balcony looked right out on the square and the the lake. We were even treated to a local concert on our last night which we could listen to from our balcony. The air conditioning was a welcome relief from the hot summer days/nights and the hotel was located very close to the ferry dock so it was easy to get to other places on the lake that you would want to visit. I would definitely reccommend staying here! We can't wait to return!

You can’t beat this location if you like to be close to everything. You can walk downstairs and order a couple of cappuccinos and fresh pastry and bring them to your room. We had a balcony where we could look over the plaza and people watch. Our view was fantastic! Walking distance to everywhere. The town gets quiet after 11pm so this isn’t a place for night life.

Fantastiskt läge vid Comosjön.och endast 15 meter ner till vattnet. Vi fick checka in redan vid ankomst kl 11.00 eftersom rummet var klart. Ren nöjesresa. Restaurang o cafe på hotellet både inne och ute.

An older property in a great location. Has "Old World Charm". Situated on the main Piazza in Menaggio with plenty going on all the time. Beautiful view of the Lake. Close to all the ferries. Restaurant and bar on the property definitely a plus. We included the breakfast. Only criticism is that it was the same every day. Some variety would have been nice.
