Driftwood at Anna Maria Island Inn

Only complaint is the listing says that there is a bathtub in the room and there is not one. Room small but comfy, nice patio area and quick walk to beach.

It was a great place! Great pool!

average...Check-in is a couple miles away... It was not easy to contact the management by phone- called many many times, no answer, I was called at some point, was told its weird, the phones are working. I dialed the numbers I was given. I received the text to let me know the room was ready an hour prior to check-in time, I called for help, got a text saying the room is guarantied by 4pm which did not make sense as they had already sent me a text letting me know it was ready and I had the code to enter. its a small place with 7 or 8 rooms, they were putting new mattresses, new fridges, left one fridge in the sitting area the whole week. The kitchen sink water pressure was terrible, I washed the dishes in the bathroom. no batteries in the fan remote control, went to buy a batterie so I could stop the fan, the housekeeping was very sweet, daily housekeeping means new towels, my bed was made and trash taken out. The kitchen area did not get touched. the area is easy access to get everywhere on the island which is a great location for shopping, eating and close to any beach. However, I dont think I would stay there again.

The only good thing about this place is the location, that's it! Not worth close to 1000.00 for 2 nights that i paid! This is a hundred dollar a night motel. If they would demolish this old ass building and rebuild, I would then give 5 star

The walkway from the parking area out front to the room has pebbles which is hard to walk on barefooted and terrible on the luggage .

Room was nice but as booked for a stay of 4 was quite tight space folding out the sofa bed. Also this wasn't made up or any instructions of where bedding/sheets/pillows were. The pool was freezing and after notifying the reception they immediately sent out maintenance who informed us the heater wasn't turned on and it should heat up in around 45 minutes.. unfortunately it didn't heat up the whole time of our two night stay so we were unable to use. We did log again with the owner but didn't hear anything further from them other than someone would look at it. The set up was a lovely space and generally quite clean and well thought out

Great place to stay. Very well located. Little issues not a big deal. In general this motel/inn is very good, swimming pool is great. I recommend it.

Super cute place to stay perfect for two period. Very comfy bed, clean bathroom clean grounds, clean swimming pool, convenient parking, short walk to the beach. highly recommend.

There is one parking space per room and we didn’t have a problem when we first arrived on the property. We went to dinner and came back at approximately 20 minutes till 10 PM and every parking space was taken by vehicles, but also three golf carts in the parking spaces for guest’s cars. I contacted the office to let them know we had nowhere to park, they said they would send someone from maintenance down to take care of the situation. We waited for 20 minutes with my nine year-old daughter in the car, no one showed up so I called back, I got an apology and that she would send someone right away. 10 minutes later still no one had shown up, I took my daughter inside while my husband waited in the car. We finally received a phone call telling us that we could park across the street in the parking lot of a bank, and would not have any problems. Thankfully, we did not have any problems, but that didn’t fix the parking situation. We have stayed on the island many times and understand that parking can be a situation, but there was no excuse having to wait outside of our room for a total of 40 minutes because guest parked their rental golf carts in spots that are for other guests. I don’t think we’ll be staying here again.

Exceptionally clean.

It was nice and comfortable I wouldn’t stay more than a night because there was a moldy smell it wasn’t unbearable but k don’t think will Be safe for more than one night. Also we got bit a lot from bugs outside when we were in the pool even in the daytime so couldn’t enjoy the pool much. Everything was extremely clean and organized though

Check in was ok, although you did it at a different location and there was no one on the premises to assist you with anything. Late afternoon there was a terrible storm and the roof in the bathroom, which was very small, started leaking. Water was dripping out of the vent. You could not stand by the sink without getting wet. When I called to report it I had to leave a message. Finally someone responded, by text message, that they would report it to maintenance. Meanwhile, we are watching out the window water flooding up to the units next to us and water covering the doors. The streets on both sides of us were flooded. Then the internet/TV went out the entire evening and wasn't working the next morning. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. I understand you cannot control the weather but my issue is that NO ONE ever called to check on us. Our room could have flooded but they wouldn't even know.

The property is very clean and newly renovated. We liked their bathroom very nice. The only problem is they don’t have microwave, i hope they should place one, it’s very important especially for a family with kids. Otherwise, I would love to stay again as long as they keep their price.

We just didn't like the fact that they knocked on our door at 9:30am with an attitude asking if I'll be ready to leave in 10 to 15 mins! I feel like they could've been more polite or wait until check out time to knock aggressively into the door! The rest was good, ladies at the office were really nice and the place was nice and clean!

Very good place to stay. Nice large room easily fit our family of 5. The only thing that I would comment on is that the wifi is not great. The tv wouldn't even stream. Not a huge deal since you're most likely going to be at the beach all day anyway.

Walls were a little thin. Getting a quiet night's rest was difficult on a couple of nights due to the party in the adjoining room.

We had no TV, no Internet, I had the service men out 5 times before it was fixed at 10ish the night before we left. Personally I feel in this day we should have both without question, or move us to a different room since we were told our room was the only one without.

It was overall wonderful experience. We just didn't read the instruction that checking in is in a different address and there's no microwave (we just assume that there is available). Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay. Manatee beach is walking distance. We even saw dolphins.

Courteous and professional staff via telephone and the cleaning staff. There was major road construction during our stay. Overpriced, however, if Anna Maria Isle is your destination, there isn't much choice for budget-minded travelers.

Due to the fact that the renovations were not completed, we did NOT stay at the Driftwood Inn. In addition, we were not notified of this until I called. Yes, we were upgraded, however it would have been nicer had Expedia communicated this change. I had messaged Expedia in the morning of our arrival and no response. I called Expedia and spoke with Mitch about an hour before arrival. Communication was not what we expected.

Overall very cute with small stove and a full fridge. The beach access was very accessible and made the trip worth it!
