It is a pleasant room. I had to call the help number to ask where the ice was located. Its at the restaurant next door. From 1 AM until about 2:30, there were people moving what sounded like furniture outside the door and talking. That wasn't management's fault, just clueless people. Unfortunately, i didn't sleep and had to wake up at 4. I like the hotel, it's a little different though because you're pretty much on your own. That's the way they operate and I don't mind too much, unless I need something and they do answer the help line. If you're an independent person who doesn't want to be bothered, you'll be happy.

Nicely renovated hotel. I'm not usually a fan of outdoor-access hotel rooms, but we felt safe here. Nice neighborhood. Easy access to 590 and the city. Lobby isn't always open as they are mostly contact-free.

Don't be taken back by the appearance of the hotel from the street. The hotel was accessible to restaurants, shopping and the interstate. The automated check-in was easy to use. We appreciated the modern, clean look of the room and bathroom. We loved that there was easy access to take our dogs out when it was necessary.

After hours service was great, saving me when I got locked out at 2am. Check-in was contactless and easy using a key system. Note that this place has the typical motel configuration so your door is straight to the parking, which let some flys in at times.

It was clean enough, and served its purpose for what I paid for. But the "office" that contains amenity is open only from 8am and I needed to leave before that, and I didn't realize there's no coffee maker or anything in the actual room. A portable fridge barely worked, and there was no freezer part to freeze my freeze packs. It was 90+ degrees and I needed to prepare for a work day outside. It was clean though, and AC worked. But I would call this a motel not a hotel...

This was such an odd stay. There is no person at the office... just a locked door and a number to call to have them unlock a key box for you. Okay, no problem, but it is unsettling to not have someone onsite if problems arise. The hotel itself is called part of the Best Western "Signature Collection," presumably because they have done a lot of upgrades to the flooring, the walls, and the doors. It also had a heated toilet seat. Again, that would all be great but then, in contrast, we had only 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper left on the roll and no other rolls of toilet paper available. Fortunately, there was a box of Kleenex and we were only staying one night so we endured. Also, there were no wash cloths or handtowels... only bath towels and one of them was covered in stains (it clearly had been washed but was still dirty looking from all of the dark spots and rust-looking stains). There were stains on the bed linens as well (photo of my pillowcase is shown). So gross. Even if it has been washed, it needs to be thrown away if the stains don't come out in the wash. No clinet paying $200+ a night should see that when they lay down to sleep. And the pillows were cheap and super uncomfortable. The bed mattress was fine, though, no issues there, but the pillow quality was awful, the linens and towels had stains, the sink was clogged up and would make weird noises in the middle of the night like it was trying to unclog (like gurgling sounds). TV glitchy. We had to laugh or we'd cry.

The room was good, however, I can see why multiple people commented on the barn style door to the bathroom, the door does not stay shut, the minute you pull it over to the side to close it the door slides back so if I was sharing a room this would be an issue. I also found hair all over the toilet seat and inside the toilet bowl, it's like someone sweeped it up in a hurry and then didn't bother flashing it down. The towels had many yellow stains and that was probably the biggest issue I've had with my stay, I was too grossed out to use towels with so many stains.

Had some problems with the key system. Both initial retrieval of our key and then it wouldn’t work mid stay. The staff were very accessible and helpful. There was strong pot smoke in the area every night. The room and bathroom was very clean and maintained.

The exterior of the property was super cute and parking was very easy. The interior of the room on first glance was nice as if it had been redone recently, nice light fixtures, bathroom looked good but then I looked up to the ceiling and saw huge cracks and a slumping ceiling as if the unit above was going to fall through and onto the bed. After taking off my shoes and walking around a bit I noticed that the floors were not very clean. The worst part by far was the loud noise that came from the external a/c unit and the super old mini fridge. They would both periodically kick on and off throughout the night waking me up each time. And when I opened the freezer portion of the fridge it was filled with mold. Pillows were also tiny and super uncomfortable. Lastly I did not see a single staff member during my stay, I tried to check out on Sunday morning and stood around waiting but never saw anyone so I just left my key in the room. Overall would not recommend.

A very reasonably priced, clean, attractive room with lovely, large bathroom. The air-conditioning unit was VERY noisy, however, and made it difficult to sleep. Lots of places to eat close by.

I like the seamless transition to get my keys. I also like the fact that the room seemed very clean when my wife and I arrived. The matress was of good quality. The bathroom door was a barn door and added some great charater to the room. The problems were the following: the television did not work, the outlet near the right side if the bed did not function properly, you could hear conversations with people in the next room, the ved countinued to creak when you moved as you slept. While i understand, " you get what you pay for," my expectations were not met with this overnight stay.

The stay here was fine. We found good restaurants nearby. The shower was great, the room small. The beds firm and comfortable- only 3 pillows and we had 2 people sharing each bed.

This seems like a property in transition. The good points are that the room and bathroom were very clean, the shower was phenomenal, the heated toilet seat was fun and the location is good. The negatives are the beds - hard as a rock - and the way too soft pillows. I thought there was a refrigerator in the room and indeed there was, but it was still in the box in the bathroom! Glad we travel with our keurig, but for those who want coffee in the room, there is no coffee pot. The restaurant next door (same owners?) serves coffee, but I was up about 3 hours before they open! Would I stay again? No, but only because of the beds.

Very cute motel, rooms are small but still spacious enough. Beautiful bathroom with heated toilet seats, nice on a cold night. Beds are comfortable. Easy friendly check-in. Nice location on Monroe St with all sorts of shopping and restaurants close by and easy to get to highway. Have stayed here before and will definitely stay again when in town

The basic room was mostly adequate, decent bed, EXCELLENT shower. The makeover from a former BW was superficially good. Fresh paint accentuated the updated mid-century vibe but broken window frames created security concerns. Although there was no staff on site, ( self serve entry), when my door key stopped working, the owner quickly arrived to replace batteries in the key card reader.

The basic room was mostly adequate, decent bed, EXCELLENT shower. The makeover from a former BW was superficially good. Room was alright, bathroom sink plugged and had the standing water in it. No big deal I suppose, but they said they were going to fix it, but it was evident they never even made an attempt. I am not mad about the sink, I am disappointed that they said they were going to do something and never did. Then I found a bug in the room. It was a millipede, again no big deal, but between no one around to take care of a few minor hiccups, I would not stay there again.. There were some other things of course the bed was a bone crusher, the upstairs guys sounded like they were moving dead bodies all night, and the TV ... 3 remotes and no directions on which one to push first... Figured it out eventually but just too WOKE for me. Overall they were not bad places, management needs some work is all

Very cute design and building for a hotel! Quite modern on the inside. Was not happy that the front desk assumed that I wanted a room on the first floor with two twin beds instead of a room with a king bed like I booked online. Called the number on the building twice requesting a room with a king bed and both times the key failed, so I gave up. The room was nice but the tv does not work. Overall not super thrilled and don’t think I should be charged the full price for a room I didn’t want and appliances not working.

Great location for a short stay in Rochester. I really like how they’ve updated this motel. It’s very clean and comfortable. The only hiccup was when we arrived and it took a bit to figure out the key locker thing - the linked directions were not super clear and then the key pad didn’t respond at first. We managed to figure it out pretty quickly, so no big deal in the end.

This hotel is wonderful! Clean, modern room with easy contactless check-in. The beds and pillows were super comfy and the bathroom was gorgeous (with a heated toilet seat!). Additionally, I left a library book behind and the staff went above and beyond to call me and mail it back. Top notch service. Would definitely stay again.

Had some problems with the key system. Both initial retrieval of our key and then it wouldn’t work mid stay. The staff were very accessible and helpful. There was strong pot smoke in the area every night. The room and bathroom was very clean and maintained.

Great location for my stay! Room was all I need, nice renovated interior, satisfied with the room and bathroom. Cleaning service kept the room and towels fresh. After hours service was great, saving me when I got locked out at 2am. Check-in was contactless and easy using a key system. Note that this place has the typical motel configuration so your door is straight to the parking, which let some flys in at times.

This hotel was a great find. Conveniently located near the expressways. The rooms are very clean and updated, the price was reasonable, the staff was all very friendly & accommodating. Silas, the owner, even created a "courtyard" outside our room with tables since we were staying for 2 weeks. This hotel will be our "go to" when we visit Rochester

Very cute motel, rooms are small but still spacious enough. Beautiful bathroom with heated toilet seats, nice on a cold night. Beds are comfortable. Easy friendly check-in. Nice location on Monroe St with all sorts of shopping and restaurants close by and easy to get to highway. Have stayed here before and will definitely stay again when in town

Nicely renovated hotel. I'm not usually a fan of outdoor-access hotel rooms, but we felt safe here. Nice neighborhood. Easy access to 590 and the city. Lobby isn't always open as they are mostly contact-free.

2nd time at this hotel and it didnt disappoint. perfect hotel if you dont need any of the extra stuff and still want to be close to city. restaurants and shopping close by and right on a bus line or walkable to downtown

Extremely limited breakfast. Also the signs in the rooms regarding "do not remove/steal TV" made us question what types of a neighborhood we are starting in. Otherwise the room was nice and big. I think price was extremely high for what it offered.

Very simple and clean motel with modern “glow up”. Have started staying at similar hotels when I don’t need amenities and it’s a great way to find clean and newly renovated places that are affordable. Would stay again. More - no coffee but it’s halfway between two Starbucks locations each about a half mile away.

Overall great stay. Very clean. Breakfast was very basic and poor quality. I would have appreciated upon booking more information on what self check in and check out entails. I my case I am Canadian and did not have cell service so am not able to receive text messages. The self check in and out information should also be emailed.

It was clean enough, and served its purpose for what I paid for. But the "office" that contains amenity is open only from 8am and I needed to leave before that, and I didn't realize there's no coffee maker or anything in the actual room. A portable fridge barely worked, and there was no freezer part to freeze my freeze packs. It was 90+ degrees and I needed to prepare for a work day outside. It was clean though, and AC worked. But I would call this a motel not a hotel...

I was pleasantly surprised how nice the room was! It looks relatively new and a lot of thought went into the design of the rooms. I love that the room was not carpeted; the bedding was all white (IE. Clean), the mattresses were in protective covers, and no old, dirty box springs. The bed also had no bed skirt to cover a dirty floor underneath. To use the TV, you need your own Netflix or Youtube account to log in to. There is also a conveniently placed HDMI plug on the wall that I assume connects to the TV, but i did not try it. This is a remotely operated hotel, so there is no one at the front desk, but I was contacted ahead of my stay with check in details and it was very easy to check in and out at the kiosk. My key did not work to open the lobby where the breakfast items were (Coffee, tea, granola bars), but someone from the cleaning staff arrived as I was checking out and welcomed me in to get something before I left. I would definitely stay here again!

We arrived at 11 pm. The AC was unplugged and it was 85 F in the suite. There was a curtain missing on one of the windows. There was no breakfast as advertised nor was there even coffee. The TV in the bedroom did not have a cable box so there was no way to watch TV in the bedroom. The 2nd night the water in the shower was cool - no hot water.

This is an old ‘motel’ not a hotel. Walk up stairs outside the building to your room (though there are first floor rooms you also enter from the outside). Seems someone took an old motel painted the outside in an artsy style and put modern flooring, beds and baths in. No staff at check in. Had to call from my cell to get a key as the auto key system was not responding for me. Stairs and elevated walkway to room old and dirty. Room itself mod and.clean. One redeeming feature of the place. Had to climb over one of the beds to reach thermostat. Did not work. No instructions. Finally moved other bed to be able to see and turn on old AC unit. But it did work. Glad I was alone and the second bed was unneeded as the air blows onto the bed as it is touching the wall unit and the wall unit basically refrigerated that bed. Really too narrow for 2 beds. No instructions-room coffee or fridge. 2 bottles of water. Rack with just 2 coat hangers. I imagine it is cold in Winter as light was coming in under the door. Had a menu for a nearby restaurant if you wanted to order a coffee. The door to the lobby was locked when I arrive. It was open when I left but no one around. It was the equivalent of a new Red Roof Inn or maybe an AirBNB where you rent a room above someone’s old garage. Hampton kind of pricing for this was a rip off. Thought it might have a cool vibe. Def not. Lesson learned.

I was so surprised how different the actual place is from the photos on hotels.com. The room is very small, the whole building is just like a motel. I booked a room with queen bed but the bed was full size. The door of the bathroom has a huge gap from the wall so it doesn’t give the full privacy. There’s a tissue box cover but no tissue box in it. There’s really no amenities for the guest. The most surprising thing was there’s no staff at the place. Key was given from the device, only one card for staying there by 2 people. I had to return the key by the device for check out but it didn’t work properly so I had to call. I really don’t understand why other people are leaving such good reviews for this place. I really do not recommend this place especially for the price I paid, which was $260.00 for one night.
