Do be advised that prostitution is very real on this property. But. They do have armed security at the property around the clock. All in all…. It’s a motel..you get what you pay for and nothing more. The staff are very much the best thing about this property. The front desk clerk, the young male with glasses is the sweetest. And the housekeeping ladies are very polite.

Room full of cockroaches. Smelled like chemicals I think they used to cover the cigarette smoke, even though it was a non smoking room. Mattress liner zipper did not work so staff had rigged it closed by putting holes in it and using Trashbags as ties to tie it closed. Very unsafe area. Luckily there was a security guard patrolling the area. Card didn’t work for the second night. Had to go back to the office and get the card redone.

It was quiet - the staff was pleasant. They cleaned the room. It’s not the Ritz but there was a night guard so felt very safe as a single person.

Exterior - The hotel is in a kind of sketchy area. There were groups of homeless folks on the block in either direction. There were also a few prostitutes in front of the hotel as well as at the convenience store across the street. During the stay there was unfortunate, physical altercation right in front of the hotel between a man and one of the prostitutes. On the bright side, the hotel does have a gated area in the back where you can park. The gate is pretty slow and one time when I was going in, a car sped in behind me (the gate is pretty slow moving). I am not sure if the men in the car did not have a room card to get in or just didn't want to use it but they sure did hustle in behind me before the gate closed. Interior- The room itself initially looked pretty clean aside from the desk having something sticky smeared on it and 2 dead roaches. I was traveling alone and I knew from the hotel price that I was not going for luxury. I came back later that night and saw a couple roaches on the floor. Again, not ideal but I figured for a cheap hotel you have to lower your expectations. Finally at about 2:30 am I woke up to go to the bathroom. As soon as I turned on the lights roaches scattered everywhere. They were in the bath, on the walls, on the floor and on the toilet seat. I went to pack up my stuff and keep in in the car to avoid bugs and roaches were hiding under my clothes! I put my stuff in the car and slept with the lights on to keep the roaches hiding. WORST HOTEL

You get what you pay for when choosing a cheap(ish) place to stay, and in this case.... it's a handful of not so lovely things. Staff at the lobby was a bit rude when I checked in. He wasn't very good at communicating where my room was and I was left trudging around outside in the rain with multiple suitcases trying to find it. It took the security man to come find me and assist me to be able to find it, since signage isn't very clear. I was NOT told about the room key being used as a means to unlock the gates, leaving me confused and the guard had to help me because one of the card readers stopped working. Narrow walkways, gate shuts on you and is hard to keep open when unlocked, outdoor draining areas leave several slip hazards when it's drizzly ..most things are NOT ADA compliant. Room wasn't great, either. Stains and filth on the creaky floor, stains and holes in the bedsheets and stains on the toilet seat. I saw a few roaches over the course of my short stay, including the biggest one I've ever seen in my life. Water pressure in the shower is poor but water pressure in the sink is too strong. Bathroom floor got flooded a bit each time I showered. Bed was very uncomfortable and I had to shove my body hard against the door to properly close and lock it once inside the room. It's a hassle to order food to be sent here because unless you are in a room facing the lobby, it can't be delivered past the gates and you have to walk to the lobby and deal with staff to get it.

The security guard harassed us most of the night. Kept saying there were people in our room that were not checked in when everyone was checked in. The microwave did not work the shower leaked all over bathroom floor. The ice machine and vending machine did not work. The neighborhood was too unsafe to walk to the gas station on the corner. I was highly disappointed

Went from Bed Bugs in one room to Roaches in the next. The location is god awful the neighborhood is dangerous and dirty.

All the floors around the bed were dirty. All the bedding had cigarette burns. Bathroom was clean though

Beds what sheets with a stain, there was mold in the restroom and a mildew smell radiating all throughout the room. Left there as soon as possible and booked a room else where. Notified the front office that I left and due to its disgusting placement of the room. Ask for a refund and they said they were going to give it to me only to discover they they told the booking agency no. Reason was cause I notified them an hour after I checked in which was a lie and provided and screenshot of my calls to the office. There was to resolution with the hotel what so ever.

This place was horrible from the arrival . Terrible lobby service. upon arrival the area right away felt unsafe with a lot of homeless in the area and people around the hotel doing drugs and drinking. having a family this felt very unsafe, but it was too late to cancel. Upon entry into the room, it smelled very bad and not clean at all, including the floors, the restroom and the bed as well. The bed was very dirty, and it looked like they hadn’t been cleaned well. Will definitely never stay at this place again

Booked through expedia. Pictures on website are deceiving. This place has alot of drug trafficking and prostitution all times of the day and night. Very unsafe place to be. Run down property. The rooms were filthy, linens were dirty, stained and stink. I got a non smoking room and everyday it smelled like Marijuana. I do not recommend anyone to stay at this place. Honestly i only booked it because it says "by Wyndham " and never thought it would be something expedia would allow on their site. Please know WYNDHAM does not OWN this property. Either someone helps them clean it up or shut it down. And my room was not remodeled at all.

I was given a room around others who were clearly partying. As a solo traveler it would had been nice to had been given a quiet room being that the hotel was half full. Didn’t get much sleep because of it and people were hanging around my car setting off my alarm multiple times. Im sure the cost of a security equals the cost of 2 nights stay. The ac/heating unit had didn’t have any buttons so after guessing which was ac and heat i gave up and just shut the unit off. There was no insulation on the door so you can literally hear every single car passing by and people walking in front of the room. Pillows were so flat i actually went to store and bought a cushion to sleep with and accidentally left it in the room when I left so lost an additional $30 dollars. Not the best experience and now i have to get back on the road tired from lack of sleep.

I wasn't able to watch television no signal

I e stayed at this property several times and the staff has always been excellent. But maintenance efforts appear desperate in some rooms and the cable TV system doesn't provide reliable picture quality. Network issues abound.

Place is dated. I booked two queens but all they had were doubles.

There was a roach crawling up the wall. The room was very small. Our room had two full size beds. Both beds were up against each wall and there was about 8 inches between the beds.

No wifi. Questionable people all around the area. Way overpriced for what it is.

It's an older property with looks of minimal upkeep. Check in was by window as the lobby was closed. Check in guy was nice. The rooms look ok at first. Key card entry. The floors felt gritty like they hadn't been swept, forget mopping. Adults wore socks to compensate, my kid had black feet from not wearing socks. The sheets were ok, felt clean. The blankets had threadbare holes, the curtains had holes too but looked and felt like burn holes. The mini fridge has a small freezer that didn't actually freeze, but my water bottles got real cold. The fridge part didn't get cold enough to kill the cockroaches running around inside. Cockroaches on the desk and in the bathroom too. We were 3 people, only 2 sets of towels given. Called down to front desk for more, he said we could come get more. We did, still a nice guy. We stayed from Mon - Thursday. Housekeeping never came. We took out our own trash, bought our own toilet paper, paper towels and napkins, cups to make coffee, coffee packets too. Side note, I also bought Lysol and cleaned the place myself. There is a security guy walking around all the time and cops are regulars. The overall feel of the place is that they rent rooms by the hour. Check out was easy, drop the key cards in the window box. Would never stay there again.

I am honestly not one to leave negative comments but I need to. We had originally booked a Sat night stay at this hotel via Hotels.com with the "pay at hotel" option. We decided to go a day earlier and checked online to see if the same hotel was available for Fri night, which it was, and we paid via credit card thru the app. So, we had 2 reservations. When we arrived, however, their credit card machine "was not working", and we did not want to pay cash, so we asked if their card reader would be working the next day, which they couldn\'t say. The next day we went about our day and returned in the afternoon to pay for our 2nd night. The desk clerk was extremely rude to my husband and the card reader was still not working, so my husband asked if we could cancel the reservation and go somewhere else where we could use a card. The clerk became irate, made my husband pay $80 for the room because "it was too late for them to rent it out" - which was confusing because there were about 4 cars in the parking lot the whole time we were there, so it\'s not like they were full. An on-site officer then had to escort my husband to the room to get our belongings out, like we were criminals! Not to mention, this hotel is outdated, not very clean, and is in a bad area. There are vagrants in the surrounding area and lots of tweakers hanging around the hotel. The room was very small, the blankets & pillows are paper thin, and the room smelled like smoke. Would not recommend or go back.

The front desk staff were not personable at all. After walking into the room there was a very strong smell of weed. I went back to the front desk to see if they could transfer me to another room or get a refund. They said there were no available rooms and that security would have to go up to the room to see if I was eligible for a refund. That was fine with me and I said I was going to call my girlfriend who was in the room at the time and let her know someone was coming up. After not getting a refund and leaving, my girlfriend told me that security walked into the room with no warning. No knock, nothing. They barely inspected the room, and treated my girlfriend like she was an animal. Never going back to this hotel.

Staff is very friendly, there are always 4 main workers in the front lobby at register and they are always very friendly, prompt and willing to go above and beyond to accommodate their guests

Room smelt of smoking borne out by two cigarette butts stuffed in the wash basin outlet (which we removed using long tweezers).Room was ill equipped - no bedside light, no coffee, no hair dryer, ripped bottom sheet (replaced for second night). Air conditioning unit functions but has broken and cracked surround with parts missing. General facilities - coffee only available in morning, no breakfast, no ice, Had to have room card key reset every day - yet permitted us to enter through the security gates. A very rough neighbourhood with many people pushing shopping trolleys around with all their wordily possessions. Reading previous reviews we had hoped they had exaggerated the state of the hotel but sadly we were in agreement with them.

Me and my girlfriend had flew in from Oregon for a vacation to experience where we are going to be moving in September and when we arrived at the hotel, it was nothing like listed. We have arrived into the parking lot and there was no joke 15 to 20 tweakers/ homeless people all around the parking lot and in the rooms staring at us the whole entire time and harassing us. The rooms were filthy and smelled like cigarettes along with dirty bedding(we went and bought our Own after seeing) the staff was very rude it was overall one of the worst experience I have ever had. And they weren’t willing to work with us.

The staff were very rude and made me feel uncomfortablet while i stayed there. Then I had to keep going everyday to the office to get a new room key brcause they would reset my key. The blankets had cigarette burns holes all over it.

Didn't even check in. It looked like projects. A lot of activities in the parking lot.

It was affortable and very close to downtown Phoenix. Not to clean and old. But it works if you are just passing by for a couple of days.

Toilet seat wasn’t clean specially the seat and the lid had stains , very low water pressure in sinks and shower, bed sheet has stains also mattress has yellow marks and there was no comforter or blanket ,only single sheet to sleep with , tried to call help service but no one answered , but next day we asked for blanket so they gave us one thin blanket which helped . Bed made sharp sounds with movement. The whole neighbourhood looks shady, good part was the rooms were under gated setting so we need to insert our room keys to enter room sides and to park our cars which is good . Overall very dismantling experience , super 8 has some good hotels in different cities but this one was way below its rating

There was no hot or even warm water when I went to take a shower. I let it warm up for around 10 minutes and it was still ice cold. There were also 20 or so gang members near the gas station across the street.

Motel is conveniently located off the 17, on the way to Sedona/Flagstaff. However, was a bit sketchy. Service team was not rude but indifferent and uninterested in service. I requested a non-smoking and got a room that wreaked of cigarettes. When I mentioned this at the front desk they insisted it was non-smoking. Safety was a concern too.

The property is in the absolute most dangerous street in phoenix. Uber drivers did not want to come to the area to pick us up. Street people doing drugs in parking lot and laying by our car. Didn’t stay more than an hour and we left. Too dangerous

Nothing to many hookers on and around the property. I checked out the hotel on Friday evening. How can I receive my money back from Expedia. Please advise

I am an extremely positive business person and overcome obstacles that most just complain about so I hate to post something negative, but the room was so dirty that the bottoms of my feet were black when I went to take a shower. There were also three cockroaches, and I killed one of them, and two of them escaped, the staff was extremely friendly and the coffee was always made on time in the lobby, so no complaints there. Sadly a number of homeless people were allowed to camp out on the property even under the stairwell the went up to my room. I stayed the entire six days and the management offered to put me in another room, but I cleaned it myself and just put “do not disturb” on the door. Like the management told me they can’t always control. What happens in the rooms although I think they could’ve cleaned it much better. To their credit the bedsheets and pillowcases were clean and the bed was very comfortable. There were cigarette burn marks on the tub and on the plastic toilet seat. Also, the faucet to the sink was loose. You could move it around when you turned it on. It did not stay in one place, but the water was pure and even tasted good. There were also a number of prostitutes that continued to roam around, not only on the property, but also the area in general. My advice would be to seek a different hotel, possibly a different hotel chain and go to a different part of town if you have to stay in Phoenix
