We had such a wonderful stay here! Our group of 9 adults and 2 small children had plenty of room to spread out with lots of great gathering spaces. This was a very family friendly home with lots of books and toys for kids, an amazing outdoor playground, and room darkening shades (always a plus when you travel with littles). The backyard is also large and flat- perfect for yard games and running around! The boats were so much fun! We also rented kayaks and a lily pad from the owners for a very reasonable price. The owners had very helpful guides to help us figure out where to eat and shop in Alexandria and were exceptional communicators. We’ve stayed at a lot of VRBOs with our large family and we would come back here in a heartbeat!

We were in the area for my daughter’s college graduation. We rented this property to allow our entire family to stay in one spot. We were a party of 11 with ages ranging from 2 to 70. The property was clean and well supplied for everyone. The pontoon was wonderful, the play area well used by out littles and the bonfire area a delight. The owners are responsive and kind! We will definitely return!!

Beautiful home with plenty of room for our family. The rainbow play set was a big hit with our 3 year old grandchild. Also loved the pontoon. It worked well and the shade of the boat lift made it a nice place to sit on the hot days. Owners are kind and responsive.

This VRBO is spotless, beautifully furnished, comfortable, nicely appointed, well-equipped, and just a great place to stay. Our family of 10 enjoyed the private places as well as the gathering places. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the outdoor patios were great as well. Our great-granddaughter especially enjoyed the playground equipment. In addition, we had great communication with our hosts. We had a wonderful stay!

The Chateau was a good fit for 8 adults and 5 children. Our activities revolved around the pontoon boat and dock. Lots of space indoors and outdoors. Many things to do in the house and garage. The Owen's were very hospitable and good to communicate with.

The property was very spacious and worked perfect for our family. We were looking for a last minute family getaway not too far from home. Even though it was winter, we found lots to do-the littles with us (5 ages 3-8) enjoyed the indoor playground. Flew kites on the lake and played in the snow and the outdoor playground and in the heated garage playing ping pong at the property. Had a glowstick party and colored Easter eggs--loved the large table to accomodate us all. We brought plastic tablecloths along so we didn't need to worry about staining anything or spills by the kiddos. Would recommend 3 to cover the long table. Loved having two large gathering areas. Rooms were spacious. Owners were very responsive and had great information in a book for all things about the house. Highly recommend.

Never saw the appeal of lake life until we spent the week at the Chateau. The lake house was large and inviting. Plenty of bedrooms for our 14-member family, {ranging in age from 4 to 69} to spread out. 2 large living areas, 4 bathrooms, a very well laid out and modern kitchen. 3 refrigerators were very much appreciated as it takes a lot of groceries to feed 14. A large deck for evening meals was a plus. A garage full of toys to keep the kids and adults busy in the evening. A nice outdoor play area for the kids. A firepit for smores and a cold beer after a long and enjoyable day on the lake. What a nice lake. Just small enough for little to no boat traffic but big enough for nice size largemouth and smallmouth bass along with several other species. The kids as well as the adults had so much fun on the provided pontoon and paddleboat. We also rented a Lilypad, paddleboard and 2 kayaks which added to the fun. The house is conveniently located close to town, grocery store and of course Walmart. Overall, a great vacation. A couple of the grandkids cried on the dock our last morning there, sad to leave. The adults were pretty sad also. Over the past 12 years we have taken 6 family vacations in 6 different locations. The general consensus is this is now our favorite.

Our Family celebration at this beautiful home was perfect. The Hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We had 7 adults and 6 kids ages 11-1. There was something for everyone. The pontoon boat was amazing and we enjoyed many days of fishing and swimming off the lily pad. We could not have asked for anything more. The Fourth of July fireworks were visible off the deck. Great show! Home was very clean and lots of room in the bedrooms to make for a comfortable and luxurious stay. Thank you!

This home was spacious, beautiful, and in outstanding condition. It was absolutely spotless and clean when we arrived. Everything in the home was labeled, like power switches, etc. Instructions for things were detailed and easy to use. When I needed to as a question, I texted the owners, and was always blown away by how quickly I had a response! Seriously, in less than a minute!!! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This home was BEAUTIFUL and not to mention, so clean and spotless. The hosts have great communication and are kind. The view of the lake was so relaxing, I wish we could have stayed longer! This was the perfect spot to meet in the middle for Thanksgiving. A great kitchen, giant dining room table, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, tons of books and toys, we lacked nothing in our stay. We even saw a group of loons on the lake. Would stay again.

Our family loved staying at this home - it was very spacious and had a lot of common household items for use. While we originally planned for our grandkids to join us, they were unable to make it last minute. However we were very impressed with all of the toys, games and books that made our rain filled weekend enjoyable. Definitely would rent again!

We had a great time at the Chateau. Check in was breeze, kitchen was amazing and the host was extremely responsive. Perfect for large groups, plenty of space and separate bathrooms, wonderful location. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

My sisters and I had a fun, relaxing weekend at The Chateau! Had everything we needed…….didn’t leave all weekend. Hosts were excellent at communicating. We’re hoping to stay again in the future!
My sisters and I had a fun, relaxing weekend at The Chateau! Had everything we needed…….didn’t leave all weekend. Hosts were excellent at communicating. We’re hoping to stay again in the future!

We were in the area for my daughter’s college graduation. We rented this property to allow our entire family to stay in one spot. We were a party of 11 with ages ranging from 2 to 70. The property was clean and well supplied for everyone. The pontoon was wonderful, the play area well used by out littles and the bonfire area a delight. The owners are responsive and kind! We will definitely return!!

Beautiful home with plenty of room for our family. The rainbow play set was a big hit with our 3 year old grandchild. Also loved the pontoon. It worked well and the shade of the boat lift made it a nice place to sit on the hot days. Owners are kind and responsive.

This home was spacious, beautiful, and in outstanding condition. It was absolutely spotless and clean when we arrived. Everything in the home was labeled, like power switches, etc. Instructions for things were detailed and easy to use. When I needed to as a question, I texted the owners, and was always blown away by how quickly I had a response! Seriously, in less than a minute!!! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had a great time at the Chateau. Check in was breeze, kitchen was amazing and the host was extremely responsive. Perfect for large groups, plenty of space and separate bathrooms, wonderful location. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect property for our family vacation. Something for everyone from fishing to swimming to tubing. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Loved hearing the loons out on the water. We would highly recommend this property!

We have stayed here before. The house is huge so there is plenty of room for everyone to stretch out. The location is quiet & relaxing with chairs in numerous spots around the property to find the best spot to sit & enjoy the views.

We had such a wonderful stay here! Our group of 9 adults and 2 small children had plenty of room to spread out with lots of great gathering spaces. This was a very family friendly home with lots of books and toys for kids, an amazing outdoor playground, and room darkening shades (always a plus when you travel with littles). The backyard is also large and flat- perfect for yard games and running around! The boats were so much fun! We also rented kayaks and a lily pad from the owners for a very reasonable price. The owners had very helpful guides to help us figure out where to eat and shop in Alexandria and were exceptional communicators. We’ve stayed at a lot of VRBOs with our large family and we would come back here in a heartbeat!

This is our second trip to the Lake and it was like going back home. It is so relaxing and the lake is beautiful. The kids swam, went tubing, and the fish we caught were so fun to catch and delicious. Our granddaughter measured every fish pulled out of the Lake to see who caught the biggest. Our granddaughter played at the swing area and we had S'mores at the campfire. We also found plenty to do in town at the Amusement Park with go carts, water bumper cars and goofy golf and found the indoor water slide. The bait shop in Alexandria has everything that you need and then back to the Lake House to Fish and Relax. Alexandria also has a bakery and cute little Boutiques! We can't wait for next year! Thanks to our host for a wonderful stay!

Each year we plan a trip for time together and this year we selected Alexandria Minnesota as our destination. This house has wonderful accommodations with spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a beautiful deck overlooking the lake with ample outdoor seating. The pontoon was great for daily excursions around lake Louise. And the children enjoyed the rainbow playground equipment. Many memories were made and we look forward to another family vacation at the Château.

This home was BEAUTIFUL and not to mention, so clean and spotless. The hosts have great communication and are kind. The view of the lake was so relaxing, I wish we could have stayed longer! The home has a lot of space and the kitchen was great to make meals in! Definitely will be back in the future :)

Never saw the appeal of lake life until we spent the week at the Chateau. The lake house was large and inviting. Plenty of bedrooms for our 14-member family, {ranging in age from 4 to 69} to spread out. 2 large living areas, 4 bathrooms, a very well laid out and modern kitchen. 3 refrigerators were very much appreciated as it takes a lot of groceries to feed 14. A large deck for evening meals was a plus. A garage full of toys to keep the kids and adults busy in the evening. A nice outdoor play area for the kids. A firepit for smores and a cold beer after a long and enjoyable day on the lake. What a nice lake. Just small enough for little to no boat traffic but big enough for nice size largemouth and smallmouth bass along with several other species. The kids as well as the adults had so much fun on the provided pontoon and paddleboat. We also rented a Lilypad, paddleboard and 2 kayaks which added to the fun. The house is conveniently located close to town, grocery store and of course Walmart. Overall, a great vacation. A couple of the grandkids cried on the dock our last morning there, sad to leave. The adults were pretty sad also. Over the past 12 years we have taken 6 family vacations in 6 different locations. The general consensus is this is now our favorite.

Our Family celebration at this beautiful home was perfect. The Hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We had 7 adults and 6 kids ages 11-1. There was something for everyone. The pontoon boat was amazing and we enjoyed many days of fishing and swimming off the lily pad. We could not have asked for anything more. The Fourth of July fireworks were visible off the deck. Great show! Home was very clean and lots of room in the bedrooms to make for a comfortable and luxurious stay. Thank you!

The Chateau was absolutely perfect for our reunion. So many areas for small groups to gather for good conversations. Kitchen was well-supplied with equipment for serving meals. We would love to come back again to this beautiful home for another relaxing get-away!

The place is beautiful! The hosts are fantastic! We were there in March so were not able to enjoy the lake but there were tons of towels both beach and for bathing. We actually needed to stay another day due to snow and road conditions, They were more than accommodating to help us make it happen. I would highly recommend both the home and hosts.
