Beautiful rustic cabin! Fully stocked and comfortable. Stayed for 2 nights and spent most of our time outside while at the cabin. This is a great home base if you are visiting Crater Lake NP. We loved the claw foot tubs under the stars after a long day of hiking!

Absolutley lovely cabin. Incredibly well equipped and comfortable. Such a relaxing stay and a great location. The drive to Crater Lake was very easy and didn't feel long at all to us. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to use the wonderful outdoor amenities a lot. Loved the bathtubs - wasn't expetcing hot and cold running water, what a nice surprise! Highly recommended. Feels like a home that someone put a lot of thought into to make it their dream abode. So many wonderful touches. Even woolen socks and waffle robes and tons of soft bath towels and toiletriies! If I ever come to this area again, I would love to stay in this cabin again!

10 out of 10! Wonderfully appointed cabin with literally everything you need. Clean, great yard and a shed of games & snowshoes. Firepit in the backyard was our favorite, and the host refilled the wood supply before we could even ask. Superb space. We can't wait to return.

This cabin was delightful! The house was so comfortable. We loved the outdoor tubs and shower. My husband grilled and we enjoyed the backyard! Even made friends with a couple llamas and horse down the road :) Perfect base to explore Crater Lake!

This home was a wonderful stay! The cabin was well stocked, had beautiful surroundings and deer who came to visit. We were able to rent snowmobiles from diamond lake lodge and go to crater lake which was amazing. We used the grill and enjoyed records from their vast collection. Highly recommend!!

Lovely cozy log cabin with all the creature comforts one could hope for. Well equipped kitchen, great DVD and vinyl collection, beautiful garden with outdoor fireplace, lovely soaking tub, sleep number beds. Great location for touring Crater Lake National Park and surrounding central Oregon.

The grounds of this cabin are amazing. Porch in the front, patio with table and chairs and barbecue area out back, large yard nicely landscaped and a hammock, horseshoe pit and outdoor shower. Its very remote, but the provided directions were easy to follow. Takes about 42 minutes to drive to Crater Lake National Park

The place is beautiful, clean, and comfy. They have basically everything you would need right in the home, including both types of grills! We had some memorable nights cooking steaks and stargazing after hiking in Crater Lake. Jesse and Samantha were also super friendly, accommodating, and responsive hosts! 10/10 would recommend!

It was the perfect place to get to Crater Lake. Its immaculate and so cozy with all the beautiful woodwork. The hosts are responsive and so nice. The outdoor space is really pretty and relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet. I would definitely recommend

We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks you guys. I would like to point out one thing... In the upper bedroom, above the bench in the NE? corner, there was something coming off the slanted ceiling... looked like wood debris or sawdust-like stuff that accumulated on my backpack. No big deal, it brushed right off, but thought you should know.

One of the nicest VRBO's we have ever stayed in. Quiet, clean, and the craftmanship inside the cabin is amazing. We stayed here to visit Crater Lake but enjoyed just hanging out at the cabin as well. Host were very responsive and had equipped the cabin with everything you could possibly need. Highly recommend - wish we could have stayed longer!

This is a beautiful cabin to launch visits to Crater Lake or just chill. The cabin is well equipped for cooking and entertainment. We enjoyed the phonograph and huge record collection. We used the hammock to watch the stars. The location is off the beaten path but very quiet. The cabin, beds, furnishings we super clean and comfortable.

An idyllic refuge for two couples. The entire cabin is a work of art and obviously a labor of love for the owners. We had a lovely, memorable stay. The owners have thought of everything to make the cabin comfortable, convenient and delightful. Some of the things we loved: • The amazing woodwork! OMG the woodwork! Everywhere you turn there are artistic touches and skillful use of found pieces of wood, like all the cabinet door handles. And of course the gorgeous spiral staircase. • The lovely backyard garden, with solar lights that come on at night • The four different lovely places to sit outside. • The enclosed outdoor shower and soaking tubs • The very comfy SleepNumber beds • The totally equipped kitchen, with every pot and pan, utensil and appliance one could need for a month’s stay, never mind a couple of days • A whole closet full of plushy towels • Nice bathrobes • The variety of slippers (some of them quite funny) plus outdoor shoes • The “honor cupboard” with snack bars for sale at cost, on the honor system. • The wealth of information provided in the binders about local restaurants, hikes, etc., on top of the lovely book collection • The cool collection of vinyl records – what a hoot! • The proximity to beautiful hikes along the Upper Rogue River; and the very generous offer to provide a shuttle if one wanted to walk the trail one-way and get picked up. I got mucho kudos from my east coast relatives for finding this wonderful place.

What a wonderful cabin the owners built. You can tell it took not only a lot of work and thoughtfulness but heart as well. Great interior and yard. We ate breakfast outside and later in the day enjoyed a shady spot to read and relax. So peaceful. It was our last stop on a road trip and we could not have asked for a more calming and relaxing place to be. Easy to find, close to Crater Lake along with good hikes nearby. Very comfortable bed. We would stay again and will if we are in the area. Thank you!

We stayed at this beautiful cabin as part of a family road trip. It is amazing! This beautiful hand crafted cabin is furnished with everything you need to be comfortable and pampered during your stay. We slept in very comfortable beds, enjoyed the front porch lounging area and walked the nature trail around the cabin property. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make tasty meals and then relaxed in the evenings listening to music from the record collection or watched a movie. I highly recommend this lovely cabin located in a cute little town but close to Crater Lake and other outdoor attractions (hikes, waterfalls). Very clean and well furnished, we truly wished we could have stayed longer! Jesse and Samantha are outstanding hosts and we can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

This cabin stay was a dream! The kitchen was well stocked, the downstairs bedroom was spacious, and the bathroom jacuzzi was amazing. The outdoor patio area was great although we did have a tiny bit of trouble figuring out the gas barbecue. The upstairs bedroom was quant, had all the essentials, but it had an interesting energy. Did appreciate the beautiful spiral staircase though. The space was kept really clean and communication with the owners was clear, timely, and pleasant. Love the proximity to so many other things to do, although the winter dreariness kept us cozy inside the house because it was so well heated and warm. We would definitely come back any time of the year!

An amazing cozy cabin, with oodles of character, on a wooded lot! Extremely well-built by a true artisan with many creative hand-crafted touches made from natural wood. No doubt the builder had a great time doing all the finishing details. The wood floors are absolutely exquisite! Communication with the hosts was easy - prompt replies, very gracious. We stayed at Red Blanket Cabin in order to visit Crater Lake National Park. Unfortunately, most of the park was inaccessible due to snow (we did see the lake, but no overlooks or hiking 😕). We were very thankful to have such a cozy place to "while away the hours" since we did not spend 2 days seeing Crater Lake as originally planned. Instead we watched several movies on Netflix, played cards, read, watched sports on TV, worked one of the jigsaw puzzles in the game stash, and admired all the hand -crafted details of the cabin. All in all, a delightful getaway. Thank you!!

10 out of 10! Wonderfully appointed cabin with literally everything you need. Clean, great yard and a shed of games & snowshoes. Firepit in the backyard was our favorite, and the host refilled the wood supply before we could even ask. Superb space. We can't wait to return.

This is a beautiful cabin and is fairly close to Crater Lake to be able to do multiple days of hiking. Or was fine for just hanging out on a rainy day when we couldn’t get out. Hosts are super responsive. I would stay here again and have recommended to many of my friends.

The host Jesse and his wife were super communicative during the whole booking process and answered all our questions. Additionally they gave us a free bottle of wine, some popcorn, and even let us borrow their hdmi cable. The cabin itself is adorable and the perfect amount of space for a couple or even a small family. Coffee and tea were well stocked and they had all the modern kitchen appliances you would need. Although the TV did give out on our 3rd day there, the host was quick to try to fix it and when he couldn’t he went and bought an entire new tv and replaced it even before we had left. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

The place is beautiful, clean, and comfy. They have basically everything you would need right in the home, including both types of grills! We had some memorable nights cooking steaks and stargazing after hiking in Crater Lake. Jesse and Samantha were also super friendly, accommodating, and responsive hosts! 10/10 would recommend!

Beautiful craftsmanship for all of the unique wood features. The intricate designs were beautiful and must have taken a long time to complete. The entire cabin is very beautiful.. The power was out for several hours the first night and the owners were very attentive.

This is a beautiful cabin to launch visits to Crater Lake or just chill. The cabin is well equipped for cooking and entertainment. We enjoyed the phonograph and huge record collection. We used the hammock to watch the stars. The location is off the beaten path but very quiet. The cabin, beds, furnishings we super clean and comfortable.

We thought Prospect would be a good base for visits to Crater Lake National Park which itself is basically in the middle of nowhere. Red Blanket Cabin itself is rustic but a cute, neat, clean and nice enough property whose owners obviously go the extra mile to be sure guests have everything they need to have an enjoyable stay. What we didn’t expect is for Prospect to be missing so many of the conveniences you need while traveling. Such as grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations and reliable Internet and cell service. Prospect appears to be not large or prosperous enough to be able to provide these services. If you can adapt to these limitations, you can make staying here work. Just know that all the other nearby towns closer to Prospect than Grant’s Pass (which is 61 miles away) are also very small and don’t appear to be all that much different from Prospect. So do your homework if you plan to stay here.

The owners have thought of all the details that made our stay easy and enjoyable. It was a beautiful 45 minute drive to the S. entrance of Crater Lake and there were great hikes close by. We enjoyed hanging out on the back patio and listening to the old vinyl collection.

We had an amazing time at the Red Blanket Cabin! The property is so calm and peaceful; it feels like your own private oasis in the middle of the forest. The kitchen is well-equipped and the a/c cools the cabin down quickly (we were there during a heat wave). It was a beautiful 30 minute drive to Crater Lake, which was our main reason for staying in the area. Best of all, the owners are extremely thoughtful and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is the best it can be! Highly recommend.

The grounds of this cabin are amazing. Porch in the front, patio with table and chairs and barbecue area out back, large yard nicely landscaped and a hammock, horseshoe pit and outdoor shower. Its very remote, but the provided directions were easy to follow. Takes about 42 minutes to drive to Crater Lake National Park

Lovely cabin not too far from Crater Lake National Park or many hiking trails south of Prospect. The owners stock it with lots of amenities (like bikes, snowshoes, etc.). Enjoyed it very much, especially the setting (great landscaping). It's remote, so make sure you gas up before arriving and bring in the food you need.

As many others have said, the cabin is even better than the pictures show. It is extremely cozy and all of the details in craftsmanship enhance the experience. The cabin has everything you would expect to find in your own home, from kitchen tools, to laundry supplies, to bathroom amenities and an extensive collection of DVDs, records, puzzles, and games. We also enjoyed the outdoor space which has an immaculately maintained garden, hammock, fireplace, lawn games, and our ultimate favorite - the outdoor shower and tubs. Finally, and most importantly, the cabin is immaculately clean. I’m not sure I’ve ever stayed in a rental that was quite this clean, and we take annual hiking trips of this kind to various places around the U.S. If you are searching for a base camp for exploring Crater Lake and the surrounding area - this is the one!

This cabin has every amenity possible: soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs, spices, coffee, sugar, sweetener, games, puzzles, movies, cd's, backpacks, coolers, firewood, grill....too many to list. You walk in and you feel at home! The cabin is beautiful, large and clean. Bathroom is spacious and well stocked. Grounds are impeccably manicured with beautiful sitting areas all around. There's a delightful private area for outdoor bathing or showering too! We had a wonderful time! Short drive to Pearsony Falls and Avenue of the Boulders. About 45 to 60 minutes to Crater Lake. Hosts are responsive and welcoming. A wonderful stay. 5 stars all around.

We really enjoyed our experience at this cabin! Every little detail was thought of. Having a full kitchen with all the tools made making our meals very easy. We spent time in Crater Lake National Park and coming back to a home base made our time so much more fun.

This cabin was delightful! The house was so comfortable. We loved the outdoor tubs and shower. My husband grilled and we enjoyed the backyard! Even made friends with a couple llamas and horse down the road :) Perfect base to explore Crater Lake!

This beautiful hand crafted cabin is furnished with everything you need to be comfortable and pampered during your stay. We slept in very comfortable beds, enjoyed the front porch lounging area and walked the nature trail around the cabin property. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make tasty meals and then relaxed in the evenings listening to music from the record collection or watched a movie. I highly recommend this lovely cabin located in a cute little town but close to Crater Lake and other outdoor attractions (hikes, waterfalls). Very clean and well furnished, we truly wished we could have stayed longer! Jesse and Samantha are outstanding hosts and we can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

This is a top notch VRBO. Everything about this place is more than anyone can ask for. This is the fifth year we’ve stayed at this cabin. It’s cute, cozy, and makes you forget about the world. They have thought every little detail and it makes our stay so enjoyable.
This is the fifth year we’ve stayed at this cabin. It’s cute, cozy, and makes you forget about the world. They have thought every little detail and it makes our stay so enjoyable.
