We had the BEST time! After a rather stressful few months at work I wanted to escape to the mountains and this was the perfect place to recharge. Lovely cabin, very clean, plenty of squirrels and birds to look at and listen to on the porch, cozy woodstove for chilly nights, we took walks every day and thereâs lots of hiking trails! Walking to town is doable, just note there arenât sidewalks but itâs a fun outing. Jeff and Barb were fantastic hosts, messaging us with current events in town if we wanted to attend, quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely be back and weâre going to bring our dog next time!

Great little gem in the woods. So quiet with lots of windows that brings the outside in! Perfect for 2 adults! And our pups loved roaming the large forested property! Everything you need including great streaming channels and full kitchen. Very close to town (1.5 miles) and restaurants, as well as hiking. Highly recommend this little cabin.

We enjoyed our stay in the little cabin. It was dog friendly, smelled clean upon arrival, and had all the amenities we needed. The property was fully fenced in, which is great if you bring your furry babies. The front gate did have a small gap underneath, and since we have little dogs that can squeeze through, we had to keep them on a leash.

We have stayed at this property 2x now. Enjoyed it so much the first time we returned! it is a studio type setting, which we like! Great internet and Samsung Smart TV with all the streaming apps. Excellent air/heat unit, as well as a humidifer and purifier. Very sunny and light, comfy queen bed and nice patio for morning coffee with cushioned chairs. 5 minute drive to town and all the restaurants and could actually walk to a couple of you really like to walk! :) If you are a hiker, you are very close to one of the major trailheads. The property is totally fenced and a very large yard with a lot of natural areas. Highly recommend this property for a couple or a couple with a dog!

We had a great time at the little cabin. Great location close to popular trail heads and downtown. Very well maintained property with huge enclosed property great for dogs. Perfect for 2 plus a dog! Owner is very attentive and responsive. Weâre very happy to have discovered this cabin and look forward to our next stay!

My husband and I and our lab spent two nights here. It was very comfortable and there is a peace that we felt the moment we got there. There are lots of trees and the squirrels and birds are very active. We truly felt we were surrounded by nature. The yard is huge and our lab loved running free and exploring. The cabin has everything you need for a great stay. Barb was a great host. She checked in and made sure we had everything and also made suggestions of music entertainment for the days we were there.

Great little cabin with nice big property for our dog to go crazy chasing squirrels up trees! Apple trees were full of delicious apples at the time of our visit in October. Owners were so personable and readily available with answers and information. They also gave timely information for finding the cabin and checking in. We had a great time hiking nearby trails (used all trails app). We loved sitting outside on the porch and watching movies on Netflix. The skylights let the moonlight in during the night and the sunlight in by day. Great little cabin! Yes, little. But the kitchen has full sized appliances and everything we needed for preparing and cooking meals. We loved our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Little Cabin. Itâs conveniently located within an easy car ride to the village center in Idyllwild. Dog friendly (fully fenced) and not far from trailheads either. The Little Cabin had all the necessities (kitchen appliances, heater, fireplace, Smart TV.) Everything was what we needed down to the plush towels. Access & timely communication with host was super easy.

This cabin is easy to find and comfortable. The host was easy communicate with. It was the perfect size for my husband and I, a good value. We especially liked the huge fenced lot that gave our dog plenty of space to explore while we sat on the nice front patio.

I had such a wonderful stay at The Little Cabin! I really appreciated how welcoming and attentive Jeff and Barb were. Theyâre truly Superhosts â they checked in before my arrival and made sure I had all the details I needed for an easy, stress-free check-in. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and had everything I could possibly need. Jeff and Barb even invited me to pick apples from their trees and left a thoughtful welcome gift. The location is peaceful and beautiful, yet still close enough to everything I wanted to explore. Thereâs plenty of space if youâre traveling with dogs, but it was also perfect for a solo retreat. I felt safe, comfortable, and completely relaxed. Iâll definitely be back!

My wife and I have gone up to stay in Idyllwild several times and we both agree this was our favorite cabin. It was so clean and tidy inside that I would have thought it was a new build. We also loved the massive yard with a gate so we could let our dog roam around and locate all the good sunny spots. The cabin is located smack dab in the middle of where I wanted to be. Less than 5 minute drive to Humber park with all the great trails and the same distance to town center. Communication with Barb and Jeff was simple and they really went above and beyond to make sure we had an outstanding weekend.

The cabin was just fine, WiFi worked well as cell connection [T-mobile] weak, good coffee, quiet neignborhood yet close to town. My dog and I enjoyed it though she would have liked to see more squirrels there.

Spent a couple night with my dog. Property Managers 5 stars.Good comunication and very helpful. Cabin one room with kitchen bed and livingroom all together. Nice fenced yard for dog and fee for dog very reasonable. Town not walkable but location private. Cabin well furnished with misc items which a real plus. Would reccomend

There is a problem that you should be aware of if you choose to stay at the The Little Cabin! After you stay here, you will wonder what all those other hosts out there in rental land are doing! Jeff and Barb should be running a course on not only how to appoint a rental property, but also how to be a great host! It's obvious that a lot of thought and consideration went into making the Little Cabin so cozy and comfortable, absolutely everything you need. Peaceful and private!

The little cabinâs location was quiet and peaceful. Our dogs enjoyed exploring every inch of the property and loved seeing the deer that wandered through. The cabin was small and charming. The bed was warm and comfortable, but a pull-out or regular sized sofa would have been a nice addition. The kitchen was well appointed and the 1/2 pint microwave very cute and efficient.

The property is adorable, and our for babies thoroughly enjoyed it! The cabin was stocked with all the amenities we could have needed, including a bbq and dog bed! Only giving 4 stars because my partner and I are used to our king size avocado mattress, so the bed was just a tiny bit small and uncomfortable for us, but overall enjoyed our time and would be back đ

We live in the desert and we were looking for a place to stay to get out of the heat for a few days! What a find we found in the Little Cabin. It was so perfect for the two of us. The cabin is very clean and well kept, had everything you would ever need. We loved sitting out on the patio for breakfast & lunch and just totally relaxing, and enjoying the surroundings. Our hostess & host, Barb & Jeff could not have been more helpful with any of our questions. We hope to return for another visit sometime soon. Kathy & Fletcher Kolb

Hosts were fantastic and very proactive. The cabin was just as advertised. Really nice property in the trees. Had a very relaxing time and the town and locals in idyllwild are great. Very friendly licsls and good restaurants.

The little cozy cabin on the mountain was the best time that my wife and I have had in a long time while visiting Idyllwild, CA. We have visited Idyllwild almost every year on our anniversary. This year was our 45th and the little cozy cabin on the mountain made it very special for us. Jeff and Barb are the most wonderful folks. They communicated with us a couple of days before the trip about check in and property details during our stay. They gave us all the information we would need in order to have a wonderful stay in the little cabin. As had happened many times before this trip, it snowed on the mountain. Didn't stop us from going, and Jeff & Barb stayed in touch with us to make sure we arrived safely and make sure we had everything we needed. They provided us with helpful tips to keep the cabin warm during our stay with the 20-degree weather and the 1 foot or more of snow that had fallen and was still falling during our stay. Our stay at the little cozy cabin on the mountain will be a time my wife and I will remember forever. The cabin was very clean, organized, and supplied with Kitchen appliances, utensils, and bath & bedding we would need during our stay. All we needed to provide was the food and drinks. Jeff & Barb thought of and provided everything else you would need. We will definitely plan to stay in the little cozy cabin on the mountain for our next, 46th, anniversary.

There is a problem that you should be aware of if you choose to stay at the The Little Cabin! After you stay here, you will wonder what all those other hosts out there in rental land are doing! Jeff and Barb should be running a course on not only how to appoint a rental property, but also how to be a great host! It's obvious that a lot of thought and consideration went into making the Little Cabin so cozy and comfortable, absolutely everything you need. Peaceful and private!

I had such a wonderful stay at The Little Cabin! I really appreciated how welcoming and attentive Jeff and Barb were. Theyâre truly Superhosts â they checked in before my arrival and made sure I had all the details I needed for an easy, stress-free check-in. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and had everything I could possibly need. Jeff and Barb even invited me to pick apples from their trees and left a thoughtful welcome gift. The location is peaceful and beautiful, yet still close enough to everything I wanted to explore. Thereâs plenty of space if youâre traveling with dogs, but it was also perfect for a solo retreat. I felt safe, comfortable, and completely relaxed. Iâll definitely be back!

My husband and I and our lab spent two nights here. It was very comfortable and there is a peace that we felt the moment we got there. There are lots of trees and the squirrels and birds are very active. We truly felt we were surrounded by nature. The yard is huge and our lab loved running free and exploring. The cabin has everything you need for a great stay. Barb was a great host. She checked in and made sure we had everything and also made suggestions of music entertainment for the days we were there.

Jeff and Barb have a lovely cabin for a perfect weekend getaway. Also very much appreciate the nice mugs they gifted which remind me and my spouse of the trip every time we drink out of them.

We had the BEST time! After a rather stressful few months at work I wanted to escape to the mountains and this was the perfect place to recharge. Lovely cabin, very clean, plenty of squirrels and birds to look at and listen to on the porch, cozy woodstove for chilly nights, we took walks every day and thereâs lots of hiking trails! Walking to town is doable, just note there arenât sidewalks but itâs a fun outing. Jeff and Barb were fantastic hosts, messaging us with current events in town if we wanted to attend, quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely be back and weâre going to bring our dog next time!

Perfect for the 2 of us and our pet Chihuahua. If you like lots of trees, birds, and squirrels with high bushy tails, this is the place to stay. Very close to downtown Idyllwild and also close to Taquitz Peak and Humber Park. Take a stroll on Ernie Maxwell Trail if you want an easy hike. We went halfway from the north end in one day and halfway from the south end on another day. We drank coffee from our Little Cabin coffee mugs every morning...nice gifts to take home!

Spent a couple night with my dog. Property Managers 5 stars.Good comunication and very helpful. Cabin one room with kitchen bed and livingroom all together. Nice fenced yard for dog and fee for dog very reasonable. Town not walkable but location private. Cabin well furnished with misc items which a real plus. Would reccomend

We really appreciated the quietude and privacy of this property. The owners left no stones unturned with the comforting items you'll need for your cozy stay. They even stocked coffee! Great restaurants and a market in town. It's a very healthy walk into town and back (10,500 steps to be exact), but a short drive. Plenty of hiking trails nearby. Wondering about experiencing it when it's snowing. (You'd need proper road tires.) Everyone in town was friendly and we were pleased to meet Barb and Jeff, the owners. Idlyllwild is lovelly and we hope to come back!

We had a great time at the little cabin. Great location close to popular trail heads and downtown. Very well maintained property with huge enclosed property great for dogs. Perfect for 2 plus a dog! Owner is very attentive and responsive. Weâre very happy to have discovered this cabin and look forward to our next stay!

My wife and I have gone up to stay in Idyllwild several times and we both agree this was our favorite cabin. It was so clean and tidy inside that I would have thought it was a new build. We also loved the massive yard with a gate so we could let our dog roam around and locate all the good sunny spots. The cabin is located smack dab in the middle of where I wanted to be. Less than 5 minute drive to Humber park with all the great trails and the same distance to town center. Communication with Barb and Jeff was simple and they really went above and beyond to make sure we had an outstanding weekend.

This was our third stay at the Little Cabin over the first weekend in December. Itâs perfect for our needs. Fenced and pet friendly, and all the amenities we need. Located close to town and pleasant walks through the neighborhood and hiking trail. We look forward to next year.

This is a perfect weekend getaway cabin! It has all the basic amenities and was perfectly cozy. The hosts were friendly and it were easy to reach out to. The cabin is perfect for two people. Would highly recommend for any couple or solo traveler visiting the area.

Loved staying at this sweet little cabin while I was in Idyllwild for a writer's retreat. The cabin was so charming and you can tell a lot of care and consideration was put into every detail! I loved seeing the beautiful birds and cute squirrels playing through the huge picture windows from the couch, with my coffee each morning. The hosts were lovely and quick and easy to communicate with. I just wish I had more time to enjoy the patio and cute little seating area with a chiminea and market lights! Looking forward to another stay soon with my hubs and doggo.

The Little Cabin was like stepping out of everyday life and into a dream.This little home was absolutely adorable with everything needed for the perfect weekend with hubby and puppy.Not knowing what to expect, we brought our own linens but walking into such a clean, kept, cabin with a wonderfully comfortable bed and sheets and towels that appeared new, mine stayed in the car.Looking forward to returning in the fall to enjoy the harvest.Thank you Jeff and Barb. It was a great time in a great Little Cabin.
