The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the use of the washer and dryer. The fold out sleeper sofa was comfortable for our grown adult daughter also. It’s nice that it is pet friendly, although we didn’t have a pet with us.

This location was PERFECT for my pup. She was able to freely roam the backyard and potty without me fearing she would get loose. The back is completely fenced with your own private entrance into a REALLY clean studio. Loved that I had access to a washer and dryer, it made for the perfect stop on a long road trip. I will definitely being staying here again if I am ever in Portland!

Wife and I stayed here with our two dogs and it was great! The neighborhood was friendly and convenient. I was a little worried about parking, but it was all for naught. I never had trouble getting a spot within 50 feet of the house. There’s a wonderful park within walking distance and plenty of places to eat. All in all a wonderful experience.

I drove my dogs up to visit friends in the area and this was perfect for our stay. Property was clean and cozy. The gated backyard is a huge benefit for traveling with dogs! The owners were very welcoming and dog owners as well

Really great area. Walk to beautiful Laurelpark. Restaurants bars and coffee in walking distance. Real comfy bed. The back yard was divine. It was warm during our stay and the dogs and we really enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the covered area.

My wife and I had a nice, comfortable stay. The apartment was very clean and offered all the right amenities for our Portland stay. Art was a wonderful host and was able to recommend a really good sushi restaurant when most of the local restaurants were closed on a Monday. We would definitely stay here again!

Quiet comfortable, clean spot in nice neighborhood. Owner gave excellent directions to get there. Feel comfortable doing morning walk in neighborhood. Great lighting and walk-out gave an open feeling though it’s part basement. Provided passcode meant didn’t have to wait to get keys to get in.

This downstairs place was PERFECT for us two and our dog. The yard is a great size and the unit was so well kept and clean!! Had everything we needed. The bed was very cozy! We ended up grabbing a couple of their business cards to recommend to friends and family visiting Portland.

This place was tastefully decorated, cozy and very comfortable. Owners had thoughtfully set up & turned on a portable AC unit as it was hot in Portland when I arrived. There were a few snacks left out, a selection of teas & some coffee. Instructions for check in, check out m, & general stay were clear. Hosts were kind & friendly when I communicated with them, but not intrusive. My favorite part was the bed really. It was like sleeping on a cloud, & with good quality sheets. I had been on a road trip up and down the Pacific coast and this was my favorite bed, one of my favorite all around places to stay - maybe even the favorite. I would definitely consider this place again if I come back to Portland.

My partner and our dog had a lovely time in this Vrbo. It’s a basement-turned-garden-apartment so it doesn’t have a ton of light and it’s hard to adjust the temperature (there’s window mounted A/C that does help some), but other than that it’s a great place. The backyard is especially lovely. Beautiful, green and spacious.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The bed was comfy, there was good lighting throughout and a cozy sofa in front of the TV to get through a bit of jetlag. The neighborhood is very walkable -- just a quick 5 minute jaunt to my son's home. The washer/dryer and the extra coffee, tea and treats were very appreciated. Glad I could adjust the heat - it was a cold and rainy PNW weekend. An additional heater in the bathroom would have been heaven.

We loved the location. The neighborhood was great, very quiet and within walking distances to coffee shops and restaurants, and shops on Hawthorne. We appreciated the walkout basement which opened it up more visually and brought in nice light. The apartment is newly remodeled and beautiful. The kitchenette is equipped with the basics. We only ate our breakfasts there so didn't do much cooking. Art was great and was always very quick to respond to my questions. We stayed one week enjoying the time visiting our daughter's family. It's a winner and highly recommend this place.

Despite it being a quiet street with nice neighbors (I chatted with a few of them), we had the back luck that a drunk driver hit our car where it was parked. Art was helpful, communicative, and very accommodating. He even offered a free extra night's stay to get my affairs in order. I didn't end up needing this, but it was a generous offer. I'd definitely stay here again.
Despite it being a quiet street with nice neighbors (I chatted with a few of them), we had the back luck that a drunk driver hit our car where it was parked. A great place for our quick trip! Our dog loved the fenced in yard. Laurelhurst park is close by. Good food options nearby on Belmont. We took the bus to Providence Park, about 25 mins each way. Such a convenient way to go to and from a Thorns game! Also, the Thorns won! We look forward to coming back and staying here for another trip in the future.

We had such a lovely stay and Art was absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful and responsive. The place was perfect for us. Originally we had planned to bring our dogs with us, but our activity plans changed so we ended up just traveling solo. However, if we would have brought them, I am sure they would have had a lovely time as well. The neighborhood was wonderful, very quite and centrally located for our stay and what we wanted to do. There were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance of the rental. Thanks again Art for everything, we had a great stay!!
We had such a lovely stay and Art was absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful and responsive. The place was perfect for us. Originally we had planned to bring our dogs with us, but our activity plans changed so we ended up just traveling solo. I never had trouble getting a spot within 50 feet of the house. There’s a wonderful park within walking distance and plenty of places to eat. All in all a wonderful experience.

We loved the location. The neighborhood was great, very quiet and within walking distances to coffee shops and restaurants, and shops on Hawthorne. We appreciated the walkout basement which opened it up more visually and brought in nice light. The apartment is newly remodeled and beautiful. The kitchenette is equipped with the basics. We only ate our breakfasts there so didn't do much cooking. Art was great and was always very quick to respond to my questions. We stayed one week enjoying the time visiting our daughter's family. It's a winner and highly recommend this place.

Really great area. Walk to beautiful Laurelpark. Restaurants bars and coffee in walking distance. Real comfy bed. The back yard was divine. It was warm during our stay and the dogs and we really enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the covered area.

The property is just as described. I sat out on the patio every day in the shade and watched squirrels. It is within walking distance of a great park, grocers and coffee shop.

This place was tastefully decorated, cozy and very comfortable. Owners had thoughtfully set up & turned on a portable AC unit as it was hot in Portland when I arrived. There were a few snacks left out, a selection of teas & some coffee. Instructions for check in, check out m, & general stay were clear. Hosts were kind & friendly when I communicated with them, but not intrusive. My favorite part was the bed really. It was like sleeping on a cloud, & with good quality sheets. I had been on a road trip up and down the Pacific coast and this was my favorite bed, one of my favorite all around places to stay - maybe even the favorite. I would definitely consider this place again if I come back to Portland.

Immediate response from the owners upstairs when something was needed. Good hot water and pressure. Good place for doggy to do her business in the backyard. Close to Laurelhurst park. Windows can be opened for flow-through ventilation. Nice breakfast snacks provided. Good instructions from the owners. Only issue was the color temperature of much the lighting, which was way too blue. Should be 2700.Kelvin.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The bed was comfy, there was good lighting throughout and a cozy sofa in front of the TV to get through a bit of jetlag. The neighborhood is very walkable -- just a quick 5 minute jaunt to my son's home. The washer/dryer and the extra coffee, tea and treats were very appreciated. Glad I could adjust the heat - it was a cold and rainy PNW weekend. An additional heater in the bathroom would have been heaven.

We loved the little carrion in a cool neighborhood with restaurants in walking distance. Art welcomed us, shared a glass of wine and provided restaurant suggestions. Very comfortable bed, and a closed yard for our poor dogs who travelled 2500 miles with us. Highly Recommend!

The pet friendly basement apartment was that. It was easy and simple. My daughter enjoyed the snacks. I appreciated the amenities. Close to most things in Portland. I prefer NE, but would recommend this VRBO, especially if you have a pet.

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Functional hooks on walls in multiple places was appreciated. Very nice fenced yard. Host was a little rude when I texted to tell him we were bringing a dog but couldn't find the place on the booking to mark that. No biggie, got it figured out. The front of the unit smelled vaguely like a cat litter box. Overall a nice stay for a short trip.

Everything was great! The host was very responsive and went above and beyond for us. We were able to get a late check out which helped a ton and there were many extras that we really appreciated. Coffee provided (thank you!), dog bowls, sheets to cover furniture for the dog to be on (we've stayed in many rentals and never have seen that -- what a nice touch!), and all the small amenities that made it feel like home. Street parking was easy and the neighborhood was great. We needed a place to stay between a work event and a fun weekend, and this apartment was perfect! The yard was even better in person and our dog loved it! Definitely recommend this place and we'll stay again when we're in PDX.
