Wicker Park Inn was beautifully appointed, newly decorated, comfortable and friendly. The continental breakfast was healthy and more than adequate. Delicious coffee. The “L” train is right outside the window and surprisingly is not bothersome at all. Actually kind of soothing. But if it’s not soothing to you, the host cleverly provided disposable earplugs! My one complaint was the cleaning staff was anxious to get in my room to clean. They were almost “lurking “…at 7:30! Your room ready? No, we haven’t packed. Ready now? No, we haven’t eaten or showered. Breakfast (that should go til 9:30) goes to 9:00 but was cleaned up at 8:55, so we missed the pastry. Other than the hovering cleaning crew, it was delightful.

My stay at the Wicker Park Inn was FANTASTIC! The room was so lovely and spacious, the kitchen was always well stocked with an assortment of snacks available for guests, and the desserts and breakfast each morning were quite tasty. Being right in the middle of the Wicker Park neighborhood provided so many fun options within a short walk.

Had a great stay. Place felt clean and staff was friendly. We drove from out of town so we were able to park in the on site garage, which was a great touch. The building is in a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants, shops, and bars that are just around the block. Only thing that I could see bothering people is the building is right next to a train line, but it didn’t bother us.

We were totally charmed by this B & B, just off Milwaukee Avenue. Everything was pristine and beautifully appointed. The continental breakfast was varied and delicious, the staff was attentive to our needs and queries, parking was conveniently arranged for us (extra fee, but it’s Chicago), and the city information in the room was helpful. I hope we have an excuse to go back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wicker Park Inn. Nestled in a quiet street with many trees and birds it’s very peaceful and relaxing. There is a tram that runs behind the building periodically but it’s not a harsh sound, kind of pleasant to be honest, like a wave or roll of thunder that comes and goes. The Inn itself is spotless, comfortable and well appointed with great attention to detail. It’s obvious the owners understand the needs of their guests. The location is perfect, just a block from Milwaukee Ave where all the shopping and dining are, and yet feels miles away from the hustle and bustle. Be sure to add on parking, as the street is residential, and hard to find a spot. The lot is just a very short walk from the Inn. We will definitely be coming back next time we visit Wicker Park!

We decided to stay in and explore a new area in Chicago rather than head to our usual Michigan Ave/Waterfront hotels. We were not at all familiar with Wicker Park. The area is very cute, up and coming but also already established with lots of shops, some national some local and unique with restaurants, bars, vintage shops and with easy access to the El, Chicago's subway/train system. The property itself is very charming, in a quiet street 1 block from a lot of the action and super clean and well set up. Our room could have benefitted from a dresser but that's a small detail. The back of the inn IS right up against the tracks and you definitely hear the trains rumbling by. We kind of liked that but its probably not for everyone. The property has a communal kitchen where breakfasts are prepared and is open to guest use. The kitchen is extremely well set up and laid out and is a great resource. The inn staff was extremely helpful, friendly and accomodating. We would definitely stay there again.

Staff was very nice and helpful. I guess I wish I would have known about the extra $45 for parking upon making my reservation. Also, the staff person showed us where breakfast would be. It set up an expectation for breakfast. There was stale bakery and a bowl of fruit. I was a little embarrassed for your establishment. If it were me, I’d suggest if people would like coffee in the morning (there also was no cream or milk), go and be pleasantly surprised by a bowl of fruit. Leave the bakery out if it’s not going to be decent. All in all, it’s a nice establishment, just be up front with what people can expect.

Broken toilet seat was not fixed after identifying the problem on day one and was told it would be replaced while we were there. Communication could have been a lot better in general. Kitchen wasn't stocked with enough basics. Directly outside the front door was a magnet for flying insects including mosquitos which made it very difficult to avoid having them get into the apartment.

It was an expensive $2,000+ stay, but since I had to be in Wicker park for family and there were 3 of us I booked a one bedroom with a pull out couch, but it had a kitchen etc. nice right? no!! it ended up being in a basement with a walk down into a dirty dark entrance with webs and bugs all over... there was even an opening on the side of the stairs that someone could just pop right on down without anyone noticing (the other side of stairs was covered for safety but not the other side?) we were 3 ladies, no man with us so I literally slept with a wooden bench against the door. and that bench was full of webs and had not been cleaned in who knows how long?The entrance was not cleaned or even looked like it gets cleaned for bugs/spiders which we found a big black one and smaller ones during our stay. It states on the card in the bathroom that towels get renewed every other day, but after the 3rd day we had to call and ask for more and no cleaning what so ever or even picking up the old towels from us.. no housekeeping at all during our 4 day stay and when the front lady showed us our room it was so quick for her to get out she didn't show us anything for the room "there's a book on the desk with information" we could not find any ac thermostat and it got a little warm and there were no windows to open. I 100% do not recommend booking this room at all!

Everything about bour stay was great with the exception of the water pressure in the shower. It wasn't strong enough to rinse shampoo from my hair. But the linens, bed, cleanliness, everything else was good and would recommend.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room, the Damon was rather noisy due to foot traffic in the hallway to the kitchen. An improvement I would like is access to table surfaces by an outlet to charge our devices. One nightstand had that. A charging station on the desk would be appreciated.

The property has a communal kitchen where breakfasts are prepared and is open to guest use. The kitchen is extremely well set up and laid out and is a great resource. The inn staff was extremely helpful, friendly and accomodating. We would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I loved our stay. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Being able to stay in a neighborhood inn made our trip to Chicago memorable. We went to the Wicker Park Farmer's Market, ate at local restaurants, hung out at local bars, met cool people, and just enjoyed being part of the city.

My partner and I really enjoyed staying here. The neighborhood was so cute and quiet. The train that went by was oddly soothing - we didn’t feel it was noisy at all. We had a gorgeous street view. It was walkable to all kinds of shops, as well as the Blue line which we used to travel to neighboring areas easily. The bed was divine! I highly recommend anyone coming to Chicago stay here!

Outstanding. Bedding and space top-tier. Location will make or break it for you. If you don’t mind occasional train or neighbor noise (thin walls) this is a perfect location with loads of things in walking distance. I am rating 10/10 for urban setting. Had a lovely time.

Cute spot! Wicker Park is a great area to walk around - lots of shops, restaurants and easy access to other parts of the city with the Blue Line! Good size room with lots of space to unpack + a great bed. Breakfast is basic: coffee, juice, pound cake, etc. and is available 8am-10am. It would have been nice to have this available a bit earlier on weekdays, as I had to commute in early. Communication with staff could have been better - after being told check-in was not until 2pm, reception then closed at 3pm the day I arrived. No one answered the phone or doorbell initially and I hadn't received virtual check-in instructions.

Staff was very nice and helpful. I guess I wish I would have known about the extra $45 for parking upon making my reservation. Also, the staff person showed us where breakfast would be. It set up an expectation for breakfast. There was stale bakery and a bowl of fruit. I was a little embarrassed for your establishment. If it were me, I’d suggest if people would like coffee in the morning (there also was no cream or milk), go and be pleasantly surprised by a bowl of fruit. Leave the bakery out if it’s not going to be decent. All in all, it’s a nice establishment, just be up front with what people can expect.

Broken toilet seat was not fixed after identifying the problem on day one and was told it would be replaced while we were there. Communication could have been a lot better in general. Kitchen wasn't stocked with enough basics. Directly outside the front door was a magnet for flying insects including mosquitos which made it very difficult to avoid having them get into the apartment.

Had a great stay. Place felt clean and staff was friendly. We drove from out of town so we were able to park in the on site garage, which was a great touch. The building is in a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants, shops, and bars that are just around the block. Only thing that I could see bothering people is the building is right next to a train line, but it didn’t bother us.

We decided to stay in and explore a new area in Chicago rather than head to our usual Michigan Ave/Waterfront hotels. We were not at all familiar with Wicker Park. The area is very cute, up and coming but also already established with lots of shops, some national some local and unique with restaurants, bars, vintage shops and with easy access to the El, Chicago's subway/train system. The property itself is very charming, in a quiet street 1 block from a lot of the action and super clean and well set up. Our room could have benefitted from a dresser but that's a small detail. Wicker Park Inn was beautifully appointed, newly decorated, comfortable and friendly. The continental breakfast was healthy and more than adequate. Delicious coffee. The “L” train is right outside the window and surprisingly is not bothersome at all. Actually kind of soothing. But if it’s not soothing to you, the host cleverly provided disposable earplugs! My one complaint was the cleaning staff was anxious to get in my room to clean. They were almost “lurking “…at 7:30! Your room ready? No, we haven’t packed. Ready now? No, we haven’t eaten or showered. Breakfast (that should go til 9:30) goes to 9:00 but was cleaned up at 8:55, so we missed the pastry. Other than the hovering cleaning crew, it was delightful.

My stay at the Wicker Park Inn was FANTASTIC! The room was so lovely and spacious, the kitchen was always well stocked with an assortment of snacks available for guests, and the desserts and breakfast each morning were quite tasty. Being right in the middle of the Wicker Park neighborhood provided so many fun options within a short walk.

Such a cute property. We flew into Chicago for a concert at Salt Shed. I chose this location versus closes Hyatt at it had more character and was not disappointed. We stayed in the Hoyne room right, on the first floor right when you walk room. Check in was smooth and room and common areas were always spotless. Included breakfast was light, but enough for us. We were able to walk to and from concert and hit up several bars restaurants along the way. The Inn is close to L, but train didn’t impact our sleep. Really enjoyed our stay!! Thank you!

I enjoyed the room and the breakfast at this hotel. It was surprising that I made it past check in. The check in attendant, a person named Amy was less than polite. For this reason I will not think about staying here again. She asked many rapd fire questions that didn't seem to make any sense. She started with, "I'm sorry," which at first was confusing buy maybe she starts with that because she can't help but condescend and correct even when she is 100% incorrect. For example, she asked how I found the hotel. I pulled up the hotels app on my phone, showed it to her, and said, 'hotels app.' She went out of her way to correct me and tell me it was another name. 1. Why do you have to tell the person giving you money that they are wrong? I was really close to leaving at that point. No, I will not stay there again.
