We loved the lake and the walks around the lake. There is plenty of seating for a big family. It is a pet friendly and kid friendly home. The kitchen is big. The beds are comfy. The deck is nice. And it is conveniently located between Davis and Canaan.

This was a great place to stay! We loved everything about it. The hosts answered quickly. Everything at the house was as described. If we come back we would definitely consider staying here again.

This sweet cabin on a lake is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty and various activities of Canaan Valley. The host, Bryan, was helpful and very responsive to any questions or issues. Would recommend staying there if you are in the area.

We stayed at Bessie end of May and had a great trip. The area was very quiet and the home was perfect for our 4 adults. We were celebrating a birthday and the house had a nicely stocked kitchen for cooking breakfasts. We visited waterfalls and hiked around the area. For dinner we went to Billy’s Motel which had a surprising menu. We also drove about 40 minutes to Elkins to have a birthday celebration at The Folks Inn and Restaurant in Elkins. It was a great stay and the communication couldn’t have been better with our host.

Cabin was nice, kitchen nice there was a little dust, we could not find remote to tv by kitchen and we looked every where and we found it tucked in stairs by chair with ottman. We could not use grill as it was full of charcoal and not clean. But it was a nice stay and cabin was beautiful and peaceful. Would stay again.
