Évasion à Englewood avec piscine couverte et barbecue !

Check in instructions to enter the home gave an incorrect entry code, we had to call and leave a message and wait outside until they returned our call to get in. All 3 trash cans outside were overflowing with garbage and there was loose garbage in the backyard. The AC unit was frozen up and the temperature in the house was 87 degrees. They dispatched an AC tech who came later that evening, found a dirty/clogged filter, and a clogged drain line. The next afternoon when the temps got hot again, the AC could not keep up and temperatures in the house rose to 82 even though the thermostat was set on 75. The AC tech came out the 2nd night and found there was an open area in the return leading the cold air back into the house and he repaired that. However, the next afternoon, the temperature inside climbed again to 80 unable to keep up in the hottest parts of the day. The AC problem was never fixed during our 4 night 3 day stay. I asked repeatedly to speak to a manager or supervisor and was just told by the property manager representative that they were aware of the problems and someone would get back to me. Even now, a week after our departure, I have asked for a partial refund and no one has yet to contact me or release my security deposit. The pool enclosure had all loose screens also. The inside of the home was clean and as advertised except for the AC problem. The location was good. The property management is horrible and I am still waiting on resolution.

The Shell House is very cute and tidy. The hosts are very generous, leaving many amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, some different spices, etc… I think a previous guest left some opened dry pasta, but other than that, it was clean. Beds are comfortable as is the living space. We would definitely stay at the Shell House again!

We stayed Friday night through Monday morning. There were 8 adults and two children. It was a combination of mom, dad and two adult daughters and their families. The beds were comfortable. The sleeper sofa was not as comfortable. Seating was adequate. Kitchen had everything we needed except a colander. Bring more towels and paper towels and toilet paper as for that many people, we ran out. All in all, it was a comfortable place to stay for a short time.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and everything was just as described. This was our first time booking a house like this so I had a few questions and the owner answered me quickly. The neighborhood was quite and close to shopping, restaurants and the beach.
