Well we go away pretty often and always trying to find something new to do and see. This place they have thought of everything. Nice spacious and secure back yard for the dogs, awesome covered outdoor area. Everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. There is really nothing you have to do but enjoy the place. Highly recommend and probably in the top 3 of all places we have ever stayed at. The only thing I think would make it better is to fix the leaks between the pergola and door when it rains as you get soaked walking in and out the door and the outdoor chairs have seen better days otherwise fantastic.

Beautifully presented and all the facilities provided. Central to everything in Barossa without being too touristy.. Provided breakfast was delicious. Host was very easy to communicate with. Our dog just loved the huge yard to play in. Will be back for sure.

Poppy's Place is a great place to stay, easy access around the Barossa. The house is large and plenty of space with everything you could possibly need for your stay. We had two dogs and the enclosed backyard was perfect for them to run around. There is also a great walking path close by.

A clean, beautifully renovated bungalow with so much space, located within easy walking distance to cafes, pubs and supermarket. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away in this picturesque part of the Barossa, so will definitely look at renting Poppy's Place again in the future. Thanks to the host, Alexandra!

We had a wonderful stay. The house has been renovated to a high standard. Great attention to detail and excellent provisions provided. The house was in the perfect spot to explore Angaston on foot. We were surprised how lovely and quiet it was. We enjoyed a morning coffee out on the verandah.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here with our 2 dogs. The home is a beautifully renovated cottage on a quiet street. Bathrooms are beautiful. The bedrooms/living room are very spacious. Backyard is fully enclosed. Breakfast provisions were great including cereals, eggs, bacon, bread, jams & Nespresso machine with lots of pods. Nice bottle of red wine too. 2 min walk to supermarket. Unfortunately the weather was very rainy & freezing but we still managed to make the most of it. We enjoyed the tranquility of the location & would definitely stay again. Only very minor negative is the portable heaters don’t heat the house that well in winter but appreciated the extra blankets. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.

Poppy's place is the most beautifully presented, warm and comfortable home we have stayed in during our various travels. Even our dog enjoyed the large back yard to run and play in. Angaston town centre is a short stroll from the front door with great coffee, food, history and beautiful walks. Angaston made an excellent base for exploring the Barossa and surrounds as far as the Clare Valley. We would definitely recommend Poppy's Place to our friends and family.

Nice place, clean & tidy. Host has thought of pretty much everything. Shower in ensuite is borderline dangerous as there are no screens, so the ground stays wet on the way to the toilet at night. The extra charges made per person per night is thievery .. who charges these exorbitant amounts! If all 9 people stay here that’s more than anyone should have to pay per night - crazy! 5 eggs for 3 ppl - bizarre!

This is a very special place. It is a mix of the historical side (bedrooms, lounge etc) with the modern (kitchen and bathrooms). When it was hot outside it was cool in the house. When it was cold outside it was warm inside ( didn't use any outside control. The little extras in the food dept were much appreciated. It was lovely to have the easter eggs and packet of dog treats too. Very welcoming house.

Our visit coincided with some of the coldest & wettest days of this year to date, but we stayed warm & cosy in this well-appointed, spacious & comfortable house.As a personal preference, the addition of net curtains in rooms facing the road would have made it perfect. (privacy was not an issue in the bedroom with ensuite). Toby, our dog, also enjoyed our stay, & the well-maintained lawns ensured no muddy feet to constantly clean up before coming inside.

Perfect spot to explore the Barossa! So many thoughtful touches- as well as water/ treats/ toys for our two little westies!! we arrived on a very hot day and a/c was on which was so very much appreciated. Beautiful old home, well presented and well equipped, across from old church and so special to hear the choir practicing one evening.Very quite and peaceful, short walk to historic downtown - lovely walking trails with our dogs- would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit!

The home is walking distance to all Angaston amenities and a short drive to some great attractions. Street parking only outside property boundary, we know the area is quiet so no issue once we unpacked the vehicle. The home is super quiet and had a secure yard for our 2 mini schnauzers Henry and Ella.To stretch out and morning walks along the Angaston- Nurioopta dual pathway. Hosts were super organised and we did not want for anything. Highly recommend.

This property was hands down the most gorgeous place I have had the pleasure of staying in. The host was so lovely and the house had everything in it and even some little surprise that were a lovely touch and very welcome. It was a stunning back drop to our pre-wedding photos and a brilliant place to get ready in. I can highly recommend for a weekend away with family, friends or a longer stay ( if you are lucky enough to get away for a week or so). Thanks for allowing us to stay in this beautiful home away from home!

My husband and I absolutely loved our barossa valley stay at Poppy’s Place, we stayed with our two golden retrievers too. The host Alexandra was lovely, we couldn’t believe how great the breakfast was that was in the fridge on our arrival! The house was gorgeous wooden floors and large rooms and large and cosy living room, lovely place to read a book or watch a movie. We were also lucky to visit over the Christmas period so the house was decorated for Christmas, made it feel extra special. Perfect location for barossa wine visits but Angaston walks and eats only streets away were delightful surprise! We have told everyone to stay here and we will definitely be back!

A clean, beautifully renovated bungalow with so much space, located within easy walking distance to cafes, pubs and supermarket. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away in this picturesque part of the Barossa, so will definitely look at renting Poppy's Place again in the future. Thanks to the host, Alexandra!

Perfect spot to explore the Barossa! So many thoughtful touches- as well as water/ treats/ toys for our two little westies!! we arrived on a very hot day and a/c was on which was so very much appreciated. Beautiful old home, well presented and well equipped, across from old church and so special to hear the choir practicing one evening.Very quite and peaceful, short walk to historic downtown - lovely walking trails with our dogs- would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit!

Poppy's place is the most beautifully presented, warm and comfortable home we have stayed in during our various travels. Even our dog enjoyed the large back yard to run and play in. Angaston town centre is a short stroll from the front door with great coffee, food, history and beautiful walks. Angaston made an excellent base for exploring the Barossa and surrounds as far as the Clare Valley. We would definitely recommend Poppy's Place to our friends and family.

This was our second visit to Poppy's Place. A beautifully presented home. The location in Angaston is convenient to the town centre, being about 3 min walk, great little cafes, restaurants, supermarket, butcher and an excellent cheese shop. Angaston is surrounded by top class wineries with in a very short drive. We absolutely love this location as a getway.

Nice place, clean & tidy. Host has thought of pretty much everything. Shower in ensuite is borderline dangerous as there are no screens, so the ground stays wet on the way to the toilet at night. The extra charges made per person per night is thievery .. who charges these exorbitant amounts! If all 9 people stay here that’s more than anyone should have to pay per night - crazy! 5 eggs for 3 ppl - bizarre!

This is a very special place. It is a mix of the historical side (bedrooms, lounge etc) with the modern (kitchen and bathrooms). When it was hot outside it was cool in the house. When it was cold outside it was warm inside ( didn't use any outside control. The little extras in the food dept were much appreciated. It was lovely to have the easter eggs and packet of dog treats too. Very welcoming house.

We had a wonderful stay. The house has been renovated to a high standard. Great attention to detail and excellent provisions provided. The house was in the perfect spot to explore Angaston on foot. We were surprised how lovely and quiet it was. We enjoyed a morning coffee out on the verandah.

Beautiful, comfortable, spacious, incredibly well-equipped home in lovely Angaston was the venue for a get-together of old friends. We had a lovely 2 night stay here with our 2 dogs. The home is a beautifully renovated cottage on a quiet street. Bathrooms are beautiful. The bedrooms/living room are very spacious. Backyard is fully enclosed. Breakfast provisions were great including cereals, eggs, bacon, bread, jams & Nespresso machine with lots of pods. Nice bottle of red wine too. 2 min walk to supermarket. Unfortunately the weather was very rainy & freezing but we still managed to make the most of it. We enjoyed the tranquility of the location & would definitely stay again. Only very minor negative is the portable heaters don’t heat the house that well in winter but appreciated the extra blankets. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.

My husband and I absolutely loved our barossa valley stay at Poppy’s Place, we stayed with our two golden retrievers too. The host Alexandra was lovely, we couldn’t believe how great the breakfast was that was in the fridge on our arrival! The house was gorgeous wooden floors and large rooms and large and cosy living room, lovely place to read a book or watch a movie. We were also lucky to visit over the Christmas period so the house was decorated for Christmas, made it feel extra special. Perfect location for barossa wine visits but Angaston walks and eats only streets away were delightful surprise! We have told everyone to stay here and we will definitely be back!

Staying at Poppy's Cottage was a refreshing escape we didn't realise we desperately needed. The amenities and services exceeded our expectations. The place is beautiful and peaceful; our two dogs loved the space, and it was wonderful to watch them play in the yard. Spending time in the sunroom was particularly enjoyable. Alexandra was very accommodating and thoughtful of our needs, which made our overall experience even better. We will definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Angaston, especially those traveling with dogs or in groups.
