The house is beautiful, rustic, spotless, and very comfortable. Located within 45 minutes of Taquamenon Falls, Kitc-iti-kipi, and The Picrtured Rocks. A great centralized location for all we wanted to see. The front deck overlooking the yard and the river was beautiful and a perfect spot for "happy hour" drinks and snacks. The kitchen was adequately appointed and clean. We would stau here again in our "up north" travels.

We liked our stay, we liked the hot tub, and instructions for use of it. we used the fire ring one evening. All of that was great, The taxidermy was a lot, and a bit off-putting. Both my husband and I felt as if the sheets were not fresh. There were sheets oddly hanging in a closet with bins of sheets that maybe they were trying to dry? The bath towels were old and rough, like what I use for rags. The kitchen had everything except aluminum foil and baggies. And only one washcloth and towel. Grill was dirty, so we did not want to use it. So mixed feelings, but all in all it was a nice place.

Myself, my husband and our 3 young boys stayed at the Seney Cabin for a family trip. We loved everything about the cabin! Our favorite features were the fireplace and hot tub. We did a lot of adventuring and fishing - including Miners Falls, Tahquamenon Falls and swimming in Lake Superior. The cabin is centrally located. Most of our meals were cooked in the fully stocked kitchen. We did go to Andy's in Seney for dinner one night and the food was amazing. We didn't want our trip to end and plan on returning to the Seney Cabin!

Change nothing. We loved every single detail of this property. Luckily we brought a pop up canopy for the hot tub so we could go in during the rain! Perfect stay for us. And thank you for the complimentary coffee cups!

We had an amazing stay! We witnessed the northern lights while soaking in the hot tub!! It was a wonderful trip! We had everything we needed and were close to lots of fun things to do!!

Our family spent three nights in this cozy cabin and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! This was a great home base to explore other attractions- Pictures Rocks, Lake Superior, etc. It was fun to unwind in the hot tub in the evening. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Cozy fireplace was a bonus, as well as the trail along the river in the back. You can hear road traffic, so if you’re looking for silence this is not it. BUT it’s surrounded by trees so you feel secluded and it’s private.

If you’re looking for a nice cabin in the woods, centrally located, that’s not off the grid THIS IS IT! Place is fantastic! Communication from the owner was amazing. Hot tub was nice and clean. Fireplace was great to have on the frosty nights! The only suggestion I can remotely come up with is that it would be great to have stairs or a bit of a path down the hill to the riverbank. If this is the only thing I can come up with after a week then you KNOW this is a winner! Thanks for sharing your little slice of paradise with us! We’ll definitely be back!

Great cabin. It’s our second time staying here. Location is centrally located for a variety of day trips. Love the big backyard on the river for bonfires and yard games. Had everything we needed. Already looking forward to booking for next year!

The Seney Cabin is an absolute gem! Very cozy and well maintained. Spacious room for all 6 guests to sleep and lounge. Plenty of linens and towels for use. We hope to return again in the summer to enjoy the River that runs thru the backyard.

We stayed with a group of five, including two kids (3 and 7). The cabin was clean, had all the amenities needed to keep kids and adults entertained and fed. Being centrally located was a big plus. I fully expect we will return next year.

The Seney cabin exceeded our expectations! The cabin was spotless, and the cabin is actually better than the pictures online, which is a rare treat. The location was perfect for day trips to Pictured Rocks, Suit Saint Marie, Tahquamenon Falls State Park, The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and Mackinac Island. We were able to enjoy birding on the property too. The kitchen is a highpoint. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable as we all slept great in comfort! It was our first stay at Seney Cabin but we hope to stay again and highly recommend this property.

We came up here for a snowmobile trip and this place was perfect. Plenty of room for sleeping and eating and the house was spotless. A little tough to get to the trails but there wasn’t a ton of snow to work with. We ended up trailering to Seney, which was an easy trip. Will definitely back (in winter and summer)!

We stayed for three nights and found it to be an excellent base for seeing the Upper Peninsula. It is a beautiful cabin that is well appointed and an enjoyable experience. The mounted animals are a special treat.

The cabin was very, very nice. Just as advertised. It’s perfect for two couples, or a family. We went dog sledding, one day, snowmobiling the next. The location is good, but the driveway could be a bit tricky if you’re pulling a snowmobile trailer. Nice view overlooking the Manistique River.

Our visit worked out exactly as hoped, giving us the perfect central location to get to Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti Kipi , Tahquamenon Falls, and Benny the Beard Fisher. A few things to keep in mind though when you choose this property: the upstairs bedroom is an open loft (without a door for privacy), evening dining on the rear deck has a lovely view but is subject to loud road noise, and if you have someone sleeping on the pullouts in the living room it is quite comfortable but they would benefit from an eye mask since it’s all windows such that it’s very bright in the early morning.
Our visit worked out exactly as hoped, giving us the perfect central location to get to Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti Kipi , Tahquamenon Falls, and Benny the Beard Fisher. Fireplace was great to have on the frosty nights! The only suggestion I can remotely come up with is that it would be great to have stairs or a bit of a path down the hill to the riverbank. If this is the only thing I can come up with after a week then you KNOW this is a winner! Thanks for sharing your little slice of paradise with us! We’ll definitely be back!
If you’re looking for a nice cabin in the woods, centrally located, that’s not off the grid THIS IS IT! Place is fantastic! Communication from the owner was amazing. Hot tub was nice and clean. Property was great. Check in was easy. Seen 2 deer down by the river. Loved the location and seney wildlife refuge was right across the street. Definately hope to stay again this summer.

It is great! Very nice and cozy cabin for a December stay. Centrally located to visit Tahquamenon Falls, Kitchitikipi and Lake Superior. The accomodations are great. Everything you need is provided. Great place to spend chill time with family.

Well-kept and comfortable cabin along the Manistique River. If you are accustomed to very loud traffic noise you will feel right at home, if not you may be disappointed. The cabin sits less than 100 feet from busy highway 77 where the south-bound posted speed limit is 65 mph. When north-bound 18-wheelers hit the engine breaks one can almost hear the windows rattle. Be prepared for the bare minimum cooking gear from pots to knives; its 30 miles to the nearest restaurants.

The Seney cabin exceeded our expectations! The cabin was spotless, and the cabin is actually better than the pictures online, which is a rare treat. The location was perfect for day trips to Pictured Rocks, Suit Saint Marie, Tahquamenon Falls State Park, The Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and Mackinac Island. We were able to enjoy birding on the property too. The kitchen is a highpoint. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable as we all slept great in comfort! It was our first stay at Seney Cabin but we hope to stay again and highly recommend this property.

Our family spent three nights in this cozy cabin and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! This was a great home base to explore other attractions- Pictures Rocks, Lake Superior, etc. It was fun to unwind in the hot tub in the evening. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Cozy fireplace was a bonus, as well as the trail along the river in the back. You can hear road traffic, so if you’re looking for silence this is not it. Great cabin. It’s our second time staying here. Location is centrally located for a variety of day trips. Love the big backyard on the river for bonfires and yard games. Had everything we needed. Already looking forward to booking for next year!

Our visit worked out exactly as hoped, giving us the perfect central location to get to Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti Kipi , Tahquamenon Falls, and Benny the Beard Fisher. A few things to keep in mind though when you choose this property: the upstairs bedroom is an open loft (without a door for privacy), evening dining on the rear deck has a lovely view but is subject to loud road noise, and if you have someone sleeping on the pullouts in the living room it is quite comfortable but they would benefit from an eye mask since it’s all windows such that it’s very bright in the early morning.

Myself, my husband and our 3 young boys stayed at the Seney Cabin for a family trip. We loved everything about the cabin! Our favorite features were the fireplace and hot tub. We did a lot of adventuring and fishing - including Miners Falls, Tahquamenon Falls and swimming in Lake Superior. The cabin is centrally located. Most of our meals were cooked in the fully stocked kitchen. We did go to Andy's in Seney for dinner one night and the food was amazing. We didn't want our trip to end and plan on returning to the Seney Cabin!

It is a very nice, clean cabin in a convenient location to attractions in Munising, Grand Marais, Sault St. Marie and Manistique. We were able to park our truck and motorcycle trailer very easily on the property. The owners were very quick to respond to a couple of questions that we had.

This cabin was a perfect getaway for our family of 7. The setting is nice right along the river, however due to flies and tons of mosquitoes we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub and bonfires as much as we would’ve like, but tis’ the season! Had to reach out to Kim during our stay and she was great at prompt responses and accommodating our needs/ request. The cleanliness of the cabin is ok, as a personal housekeeper I saw things that could have used some attention and better detailing, but overall I didn’t feel we were vacationing in filth. The decor in the cabin adds a nice rustic/ woodsy touch like your in the great outdoors while relaxing on the couch watching a movie or at the table playing some of the board games. Would recommend the Seney Cabin and we would stay again! We throughly enjoyed our time in the U.P. but, still tons more to explore.
