This was the perfect place for our family vacation! We had 8 adults and 12 kids ages 4-16. The lake is absolutely beautiful, the home is spacious and welcoming. The 3 season porch was a perfect space to have morning coffee and visit with others who were early risers. The kitchen was well equipped and the garage had everything you could want for the lake. We enjoyed the 2 paddle boards, 2 kayaks, paddle boat, canoe and Lilly pad, and we were grateful for the large supply of lifejackets of all sizes. The walk down to the lake is a bit steeper than we expected, but was manageable if you don’t run. We enjoyed campfires and were glad lawn chairs were provided also. We enjoyed fishing too. It was so fun to watch the fish by the dock in the super clear water. One highlight of our trip was floating down the Namekagon River from Earl Park Landing to Trego Park Landing. We brought our own tubes and air pump to air them up. We went on a Monday afternoon when the river wasn’t so busy. It took about 3 1/2 hours for the journey. We saw a fair amount of wildlife and got plenty of sun. But it was so relaxing. We also had supper at Nick’s La Cabana in Spooner! We called to give them a heads up since we were a group of 20. They have something on the menu for everyone! We were in and out in 1 hour, bellies full, leftovers in hand and smiles on our faces! Our hosts were fantastic and answered all our questions! Oh the beds were comfy too!
