Motel 6-Windsor Locks, CT - Hartford

The pool may only go from 3'to5' but íts clean and refreshing¡!!

This place was nothing less than a wide awake nightmare. Green pool water, cracked mirrors, uncleaned bathroom, burns on the bed, and a room that smelled as fresh as a dirty ashtray. We were refunded and left almost immediately after arriving.

No elevator. Had to take 100 lbs of luggage up the stairs. The bed made so much noise. Absolutely not worth the 100$ a night it cost

The pillows were very flat. Hotel is being updated while I was there. My tv didn’t work and they came right up and couldn’t fix it so the next day maintenance fixed it. Plane’s from airport fly right over you all night.

Plenty of food options nearby. The pool seemed to be closed for the summer. Occasional jet noise, as you would expect near airport.

Check in was very easy. If you stay on the 2nd floor, there is no elevator so you have to use outside stairs. You could smell weed as soon as you open your car doors in the parking lot. They are apparently doing renovations to some of the rooms, so it was like walking through a construction zone. AC worked. Shower was very tiny and shower floor was dirty. Bed was uncomfortable and loud. Smells and light came from under the door. Did have a fridge and microwave. No carpet. No one came to desk for me to check out, so I just left the key on the counter.

This property was being renovated so there was trash an old appliances by every staircase i mean they were renovated all the rooms wich is not bad . Our bedroom sheets had multiple cigarettes burns and we dont even smoke we went to the staff in thebiffice and he gave us new sheets much appreciated maybe a few month from now this motel will be all renovated and there sheets will prob all be new im hoping i wouldn't mind staying again if there all renovated and we wont have to deal with burn sheets but thebroom was clean so thumbs up for that

Construction work going on.

Weird splatter all over wall and ceiling. Neighbour OD’d and ambulance attended. Pool was cloudy and a no go.

They do not have a shuttle to the airport and did not understand that it showed it to be available online. He just kept saying they don't offer it instead of hearing me that it said that they did online.

The room was dirty, with pieces of hair, round brown things we could not identify, and blood smeared below the bed. The floor was sticky and the bed had cigarette burns. Loud music playing from the neighbours and trash left around.

Easy Check In, Clean Room

It'll do if sleeping in your car isn't an option and there's nothing else available nearby. The sink water ran and the check-in clerk was kind which is why I give it 2 stars. The "non-smoking" room reeked of cigarettes and nicotine tar was noticeably visible on the walls. The blankets and sheets were riddled with cigarette burns. The bathroom light didn't work and the shower floor was a dark black/brown color. The radiator fans were covered in black goo, presumably mold.

The newly renovated rooms were very nice, especially for the rate. Even the shower was very modern! The man who was working the front desk when we checked in was so friendly!! We needed a cheap place to sleep for a night but got a lot more. Highly recommend!

Good value, decent room and bed, very clean, no odors. I would stay here again for quick overnight.

Absolutely disgusting, so gross! Our room looked like it wasn’t cleaned what so ever as if someone had just left prior before us arriving. There was a bunch of white stuff on the floor near our bed, cigarette burnt holes in our comforter n sheet, and food behind the bathroom door. Not to mention it looked like nobody had dusted / wiped down table top areas. I went to complain in the most polite way possible because I’ve never had an issue with Expedia or a motel 6 before. It's right next to the airport so there was consent noise from the plains taking off. The bathroom counter and shower were dirty with the hair of previous guests. There were flies. And the table under the TV and the fridge were also not cleaned.

Clean

First room I got wasn’t clean at all. Got to second room was nasty wasn’t clean to well I had clean it on my owe was spider & roaches in room roaches in microwave & refrigerator bathroom room was just plain old nasty

It was clean enough for Motel 6. No bugs alive or dead that I saw during my stay. It's in the path of airplanes so if you're not a fan of noise stay somewhere else in the strip

It was perfectly fine for one night stay before flying out of Bradley. Convenient location. Beds weren’t very comfortable. Curtains let in a lot of light.

The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant every time I spoke to him. Almost all of the other guests we encountered were great, but it does seem a couple of addicts were in one of the rooms and we’re seen nodding a few times. The rooms are MUCH smaller than the photos make them seem. We were pretty cramped for sure! The room we were in also had a very strong odor. If standing by the sink, the smell of cat urine was very strong. The rest of the room was musty smelling. I didn’t realize how close to the airport this place was, and while there were flights coming in going frequently we were not sleep deprived because of it. It was actually really cool to see the planes so close. Even after all of this, I’d still stay again.

Front door did not close flush

Room was quite clean and the hotel was easy to find. Since it is near an airport the planes did fly overhead till around 10 p.m. but was easy to sleep through.

The place was clean, the price was good, and maintenance is fine, but it is aligned with the landing strip at the nearby airport and landing planes frequently pass very close overhead - all night long. They are extremely loud This totally disrupted my sleep. One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, though this is not the fault of the staff or ownership.

Room was freshly painted. New shower, new toilet, new sink and a new vinyl floor. Sheets were clean. Should have been a home run! But, the comforter on the bed was old… it was stained and had two cigarette burn holes in it. There was a clothes rod, but no hangers. Two towels and two small mismatched pillows on the bed. This was a non-smoking room.

It’s a Motel 6. If you know what to expect it’s fine. Basic, clean and good water pressure in the sink and shower. Staff was nice. As an added benefit if you enjoy being woken by the roar of airplanes taking off every 10 minutes it’s perfect. Just know this before you book.

I have to give a mixed review because I had to be moved three times before they found a suitable room for me. I requested a refund and was denied by the manager. Turns out, Room #3 had a door that did not shut when one sat on the toilet. I decided not to worry about it as I was traveling alone, but it speaks to a lack of attention to detail and care. The housekeeping staff, i.e. Alicia, is first rate, though, and the hotel clerks were very nice. I am bothered that my $50 deposit hasn't posted yet, in light of all the problems I experienced. That said, if they found me a room with a bathroom door that shuts I'd stay again. I love the airplanes flying so close the motel. Some people would not I also like the feeling of spaciousness when one looks out at the horizon. I could sit and look at the planes all day. It's cheaper than Day's Inn, which is next door, and where I might try staying in the future.

Easy Check In, Clean Room

The gentleman at the front desk was rude, dismissive, and gave me a room that was not cleaned. He was acting as if he were upset that I’d woken him from his nap… I assume he was napping based on his hair, grogginess, and the fact that he wasn’t wearing shoes nor socks…. As soon as I entered the room (#224), I was greeted by the strong odor of heavy alcohol and cheap perfume. The two beds had clearly been slept in. It was almost as though, someone had just vacated the room after partying in it. My first thought was that someone sleazy had spent the evening with a low rate hooker in this very room and the motel never got around to cleaning the room. Also the parking lot was riddled with patches of empty beer bottles. Vagrants frequently populate the surrounding area as well. Ultimately, I did not spend more than 2 minutes in the room I was assigned. It was clear as day upon opening the front door that this establishment did not take pride in itself and could not be trusted — so my colleague and I decided to just sleep in the work van. I didn’t even feel safe in the shady looking parking lot so drove 30 minutes out to a rest area to get a little sleep… my worst hotel/motel experience ever! I didn’t even bother to ask for another room or refund because it was just that bad and the guy at the front desk gave me very little faith that he’d be helpful on any level. It was easier just to cut the loss…. Do not stay here if you respect yourself on any level.

first should have made it known i needed a none smoking room, i put up with it but i will make sure i state it that i need a none smoking room my car was broken in to and was told by the staff that its been happening quite alot, i had left my baggage's in the truck Luckly nothing was taken, i should have been warned and i would have brought all of it in. room seen better days staff did the best they could with what they had to deal with they were helpful and respectful ecept for not warrning me of the breakins i use to stay at this place alot but will think twise about it now

Extra $50 deposit charged and not refunded upon checkout. They said 7-10 days. Pillows were inadequate and when we asked for extras were told none were available.

Stayed for 18 days for work and I only got 3 roles of toilet paper total. 2 in the room at check in and 3rd left day before check out. Room key card was deactivated DAILY, had to go to front desk every day when I got off work (11:00pm) to gain access to my room. Front desk upon check in tried to charge entire stay on the credit card I gave for $50. deposit, when I’d already "paid" through 3rd party booking.

The staff was nice.rooms were clean

My flight was delayed i. I called and told them I wouldn’t make it and they charged me and refused to cancel my reservation with them! The lady that I talked to was extremely rude to me on the phone.

This was a great, clean place that is really close to the airport. The planes land literally right over the building, which is pretty cool if you are into aviation. Now, if you are looking for an extended stay, or a nice, quiet place, I would not recommend. I really liked it for the novelty of getting to watch the planes pass right over my head, but if I were staying there for more than the 2 nights, it would have gotten old pretty quick. Otherwise, the property was nice and seemed well managed.

Really close to the airport

The room was clean and quiet. The location is very convenient near the airport.

Convenient location and surprisingly quiet despite being right across the street from Bradley International Airport. The room was average but to be expected for a budget motel.

The day was fine only needed it for overnight trip to the airport. Will stay again.

Perfect stay for an early morning flight. Staff was kind and courteous, quick and efficient. Property was clean and well lit. Room was basic and clean. Just what we needed. Car rental return was right down the street. We will stay here again.

Cafe market

I liked that it was clean and close to the airport w plenty of restaurants nearby. The desk clerks were polite and helpful. I didn't like the plastic covered pillows or the matress. I didn't like that there was no coffee maker. I didn't like that there was no tub, only a stand up shower and no shampoo or conditioner. I prefer drapes rather than pull down shades. The price was ok.

Smoke Alarm was missing from ceilng, found under TV stand. No amenities such as instant coffee or tea in room, lobby with coffee was closed. Had to wait about 10 minutes at 6 Pm check in since no one was tin lobby and no one answered the bell

Convenient location near Bradley Airport. Motel rooms have clean beds and bathrooms; coffee/tea available in the mornings near reception, but unfortunately, no coffee maker in room. TV, microwave, fridge in some rooms. Friendly staff at check-in. - No hairdryer in room but the owners were kind enough to lend me one.
