The cozy cottage offers more space than it looks from the outside. The kitchen is well-equipped, and it included a big dining table. The large living room was a great gathering place for our group of five adults. We loved the location--just a few steps away from the ocean, where we were able to walk for a good distance in either direction. The cottage also offers good proximity to Portsmouth and Ogunquit.

We loved the location--just a few steps away from the ocean, where we were able to walk for a good distance in either direction. The cottage also offers good proximity to Portsmouth and Ogunquit.

This property has a great location. Walking distance to the beach. Besides that it was in okay condition and had adequate amenities (TV, Kitchen, etc). The ceilings upstairs are a little short so if you are 6ft or above that is definitely a consideration to keep in mind. Downstairs though had plenty of room, good furniture and there were window AC units in every room that were very helpful.

Great location, a short walk to the beach. Kitchen is great, fully stocked which was a pleasant surprise. Absolutely will book again!

We had 8 adults down for a family wedding and the Cottage at Long Sands worked out great for our 4 night stay. The bedroom & bathroom on the main floor worked for our 91 year old mom. The place was roomy enough to sit comfortably in the living room or dining area together. Kitchen could use more regular cups/glasses but otherwise well-enough equipped. And you can’t beat the location- just a quick walk to the beach and that beautiful ocean view! Needs a few more lights - or at least lightbulbs in all the lights! Otherwise - did the trick for our gang. Will also mention that the cottage is situated in a little condo community and they aren’t kidding about the two-car parking limitations. No problems with that and enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

On arrival property very clean. Amenities as advertised. Excellent location. Comfortable beds and couches. Overall we had a great time. Couple of small issues; Roku on tv difficult to use due to unfamiliarity with program, and could not get any regular network tv. Wood on floor between living room and dining area is broken , in two pieces and not secured to the floor any more. And clearly a trip hazard.

Love the location. Very easy to get to shopping and dining and touring the area.Across from Long Sands beach. Great walking or running location. Beds are very comfortable. Has a well stocked kitchen. Comfortable couches. Overall a nice house in a good location.

Found this for a last-minute getaway for 8 of us and we were pleasantly surprised. House was very clean and inside was charming. We loved the big fridge, access to washer / dryer and cable tv. There were 2 full bathrooms which was very helpful. Downstairs bed was very comfortable. Very close to the beach and very quiet! It was nice to walk out to the beach in the morning. We didn’t use outdoor area…less charming but practical. I liked that it was on the quieter end of the beach. It had a well equipped kitchen and there were beach chairs, games and puzzles. Thank you for a great stay.

I visited this cottage with 4 other friends. It is about 150 from the beach, though the beach is not visible from the cottage. The 3 upstairs bedrooms are very small with low ceilings, though we didn't spend much time in them besides sleeping, so this wasnt an issue. It may be an issue if you are very tall. The living and dining rooms accommodated us fine. The only big drawback was the condition of the cottage when we arrived. While the floors and beds were clean, there was old coffee in the coffee pot, baked on food on the stovetop, and wet playes in tje cabinet. We had no idea why they were wet, so we ended up washing all of them. When I notified the company handling the cottage, they did offer to send somone over to clean it, but we had already taken care of everything. I would recommend this cottage to people who want to be very close to the beach, and hope that the cleaning service improves.

The cottage is ideally located near a beautiful beach. Bedsheets, bathroomes, fridge and stove were sparkling clean. However, kitchen cabinets, kitchen ceiling fan and stairway carpet need a serions clean up. We had great weather and thorougly enjoyed thé beach and the region.

The cottage was just what I thought it would be. Very cute, shabby chic. Unfortunately it was not very clean. The bathroom was somewhat clean. The beds were made up but the place was not vacuumed, smelled of stale cigarette smoke and was very dusty. There were crushed chips on the windowsill. I told the management company but no real response or resolution

We were able to check in early which was great however it was clear the renters before us made a mess of the house. The rugs weee very dirty and actually turned your socks or feet black. I spoken to property manager within hours of. Heck in and Donna apologized and advise the prior renters did this and they would be getting the rugs professionally cleaned when we checked out. We made the best of our stay, the location is great but for the amount of money I paid I would expect clean rugs. Donna did say she would refund me the cleaning fee, which almost two weeks later I have not received. I was told by customer service through vacassa Donna no longer works there and the current property manager would contact me. This has been going on a couple days now and no one has contacted me. It is a shame because we stayed in this exact cottage prior to COVID and delay directly with the owners and now with run through VRBO there is a lot lacking.

The property was not clean when we arrived. A half full vitamin water and a pop tart wrapper were in a bedroom. There were stains on the comforters and a pillow case. In the upstairs bedrooms i had to duck and i am only 6 feet tall. So much more to say, but space is limited to write. I would never sty here again we even checked out early

This was a perfect location for a small yoga retreat. The house was perfect, and the living room was the perfect size to set up our yoga classes. It was wonderful to be within walking distance of the ocean and we wouldn’t love to stay at this house again!

The house was great! Clean, well accommodated, excellent location. The check-in process was not good. We arrived late and the code we were sent didn’t work. A call to the property manager wasn’t helpful. Apparently new locks had been installed the week before and something went wrong. The property manager did reach out in the morning and sent someone to fix the lock. They also offered to pay for our lunch due to the inconvenience. We paid all sorts of fees to rent this great house. The door should’ve opened.

I would recommend this cottage to people who want to be very close to the beach, and hope that the cleaning service improves.
I visited this cottage with 4 other friends. It is about 150 from the beach, though the beach is not visible from the cottage. The 3 upstairs bedrooms are very small with low ceilings, though we didn't spend much time in them besides sleeping, so this wasnt an issue. It may be an issue if you are very tall. The living and dining rooms accommodated us fine. The only big drawback was the condition of the cottage when we arrived. While the floors and beds were clean, there was old coffee in the coffee pot, baked on food on the stovetop, and wet playes in tje cabinet. We had no idea why they were wet, so we ended up washing all of them. When I notified the company handling the cottage, they did offer to send somone over to clean it, but we had already taken care of everything. I would recommend this cottage to people who want to be very close to the beach, and hope that the cleaning service improves.

The cottage was just what I thought it would be. Very cute, shabby chic. Unfortunately it was not very clean. The bathroom was somewhat clean. The beds were made up but the place was not vacuumed, smelled of stale cigarette smoke and was very dusty. There were crushed chips on the windowsill. I told the management company but no real response or resolution

We were able to check in early which was great however it was clear the renters before us made a mess of the house. The rugs weee very dirty and actually turned your socks or feet black. I spoken to property manager within hours of. Heck in and Donna apologized and advise the prior renters did this and they would be getting the rugs professionally cleaned when we checked out. We made the best of our stay, the location is great but for the amount of money I paid I would expect clean rugs. Donna did say she would refund me the cleaning fee, which almost two weeks later I have not received. I was told by customer service through vacassa Donna no longer works there and the current property manager would contact me. This has been going on a couple days now and no one has contacted me. It is a shame because we stayed in this exact cottage prior to COVID and delay directly with the owners and now with run through VRBO there is a lot lacking.

We checked in on Saturday with family for a planned 50th anniversary celebration. We brought steaks after reading that the rental came with a grill. We arrived - no grill. Reached out to property manager (Vacasa of Maine) and they responded that the grill was available only May - October. I responded with a photo of the listing that did not indicate that the grill was seasonal. I requested that they fix this situation. I let them know that I would be willing to wait until Sunday to cook the meal for my parents and our family. They said they would remedy the situation on Sunday. I was never contacted in any way. I am very, very frustrated that (1) the listing items that they claimed would be available were not and (2) that they did not fix the issue as they said they would. We ended up eating out and this was a significant expense and inconvenience.

The cozy cottage offers more space than it looks from the outside. The kitchen is well-equipped, and it included a big dining table. The large living room was a great gathering place for our group of five adults. We loved the location--just a few steps away from the ocean, where we were able to walk for a good distance in either direction. The cottage also offers good proximity to Portsmouth and Ogunquit.

We enjoyed staying in the cottage. The location is ideal for exploring the sights in Southern Maine. Beds were comfortable and the place was spacious for our group of four women. Beach was less than a block away.

We loved staying at this cottage. It was decorated very nicely. The house was immaculate. You can see the beach which is directly across the street from all the windows. Lots of restaurants close by. Communication with the owner was very timely. I would definitely recommend a stay at this property!

Clean , comfortable beds , great kitchen table to hang around . Not much curb appeal, didn’t realize from pictures and description that houses were 2 feet apart. Good for winter when no one else is there, but would never stay there in summer . Convenient to lots of places to hike , snowshoe . Most of the restaurants close in the winter . Overall fine for what we were looking for !

The cottage was spotless — and pleasantly adorned with beach-friendly quotes, sayings and decorations. The coffee was plentiful, the bed was great, the TV had everything. If we’d gone closer to warm weather, we’d have used all the beach gear as well. The small shower wasn’t easy for me to maneuver in — and I’m not that big — but was a little blip in a great weekend getaway.
