Waterfront Cottage on the Harris chain in Leesburg

This is our second time here. This is a great place to stay. We brought our bass boat and tied it to the pier. There is a close boat ramp at the home park just over the bridge. Also enjoyed sunsets on the deck.

We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay at Spillway cottage ❤ we enjoyed paddle boating through the canal.

Great place to stay. It was nice to have our boat steps away. Bernie and Mike were great.

From check-in to check-out everything was seamless. The private deck and dock were both fantastic places to hang out during the afternoon as they provided plenty of shade and the temperature was comfortable even during the heat of the day. Would definitely return.

We had a wonderful time ,great host couldn’t ask for better people make you feel very welcome. .so much fun we had fishing was great my grandson and I had so much fun on the paddleboat. It was a great trip for my husband ,myself and our grandson.

Nice place. We brought our bass boat and kept it docked in the water on our deck. That was really nice. Enjoyed watching the alligators and eating at restaurants on the water.

Small, but very nicely appointed cottage with an awesome dock. We were very pleased with everything. Nicely decorated and lots of very thoughtful touches. We forgot to bring our coffee and found some in the pantry. Very quiet and secluded. Would highly recommend.

My family and I recently stayed at this beautiful property and had a fantastic experience. The home was incredibly clean, which made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. The furnishings and decor were modern and tasteful, adding to the overall comfort and ambiance. The location was perfect for our needs, providing a peaceful retreat. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare meals easily, and the living spaces were spacious and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Communication with the host was smooth and efficient, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches and attention to detail throughout the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and relaxing getaway.

From my initial inquiry through the booking and during our stay, Bernie (and her husband Mike) couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. We stayed at this property while attending Leesburg Bike Fest and as riders themselves our hosts were wonderful. The unit was exceptionally clean with a great rear deck area overlooking the water and parking was abundant. The location was convenient to the Leesburg downtown area as well as other surrounding communities. We had no issues what so ever with the property or our hosts and I would give them both the highest of ratings. Well worth the rental cost and a great place to get away for a few days to relax.

Very rustic looking on outside but beautifully decorated and clean inside. Double size bed took a little getting used to and kitchen table was small. Very nice walk-in shower.. Hosts were very helpful and provided some nice extras. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking out over the water at many different birds and some fishermen.

Cute and clean place! Had everything we needed. Loved the deck over the water with the Spanish Moss blowing in the wind. Our pup loved it too!

We had a great time. The place was fantastic, quite a great place to just get away. We read, fished, slept. The mattress was fantastic, I forgot to look at who It was made by! It had everything you could possibly need. Thank you for the rest and relaxation.

The space was perfect for me. Deck overlooking water is cool. Mike and Bernie were kind enough to also let my 2 grandsons come stay with me one night. Location is great - only about 4 miles from the mall and restaurants.

We enjoyed staying at this location. We are avid fishing people and being able to walk down to the dock was fantastic. I would update a few things in the Cabin itself, but nothing major. I would rent it again in a heartbeat. Bernie was very helpful and easy to reach. Actually We have no complaints. If anything a bait shop at the location would be great! LOL

My husband and I and our dog felt so welcome here! The owners were very kind and considerate to us and gave great care and attention to our dog. We consider them friends! We felt very safe here. It was nice to be on Haynes Creek. What a fabulous waterway! So gorgeous! Boating down felt like you were in a jungle at times. Lot of wildlife, many birds. We went through the locks out to Lake Eustis and through the Dora Canal which was spectacular. We had lunch at Hurricane and it was very good, tasty food (especially shrimp tacos!), friendly service. The other way down the creek is Lake Griffin where you are sure to catch bass. We caught bass, crappies and blue gills right off our dock. We enjoyed watching a few alligators sunning themselves on the bank. And Pete, the Great Blue Heron, who flew over when called to get some minnows! He was rescued from fishing line by a local fishing guide 4 years ago and now trusts some humans. He and his mate, Shelby, roost in tree across creek. He was a joy to watch! Not many places you can see something so special! So much to do in the area. True Florida and wonderful nature! Our favorite places: Flat Island Preserve, Trout Lake Nature Center, Bourlay Nature Park, Venetian Gardens, PEAR Park Preserve, Pine Meadows, Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive, Sabal Bluff Preserve, and Sawgrass Island Preserve.Great hiking and birding. Restaurants:Old Time Diner,The Mason Jar, Fish Camp, Puddle Jumpers. We loved our stay here! Thank you Mike and Bernie

Enjoyed our stay in this charming cottage located on the water. While it is small, there is everything you need there. The best part is the huge deck on the back where you can watch all the birds, wild life and fisherman, while fishing off the lower deck if you want. The owners were friendly and offered many extras to use. Great location to discover the Lake county and Leesburg and other communities. Took several wonderful hikes in the area as well!
