It was very convenient to be right on the ocean. We spent an entire day on the beach. So relaxing. Hotel restaurants are good. The last day two of the three elevators were down. That made for a long trip down from the 8th floor. Hotel was comfortable and clean.

The staff was incredibly rude and seemed to not care about you as a customer. When checking in, all I got was “credit card” and handed the card to my room. No explanation on what my card was being charged for, even when I asked. I received a text the night before that I could reply back to with questions and concerns, and never got responses back. There was no parking. They had 2 weddings there, so all of the guests took up parking. We had to pay for municipal parking 2/3 nights of our stay and walk to the hotel. It wasn’t fun having a baby to constantly walk a distance. Part of the parking lot was blocked off with cones (at least 15 spots) for no known reason. Housekeeping came to our room between 7am-8am every day to clean. We were still sleeping and got woken up for them to clean. Elevators suck. Don’t even think about getting a head start on the day of checkout. 3 elevators that stop at every floor. When everyone is trying to check out, staff was filling up the elevators to clean empty rooms, leaving no elevator space for people trying to leave. We waited at least 30 minutes for an elevator. Pack your car the night before and just bring yourselves that morning because you won’t fit anything in the elevator with everyone trying to leave. You can’t access the beach or pool easily from the back. You have to go out the front and around the building w/ a wagon. The beach itself was nice, it was nice that umbrellas and chairs were included, and the pool area was clean.

Awesome updates done on this property, but feels like it could be a facelift not a renovation. The food and service were great. A side ocean view from our 2 balconies (neither large enough to sit on) was nice but I’d rather a full balcony and view. Our room with a separate bedroom and pull out sofa felt large enough for a week without being on top of one another. Included parking pass and lot were a bonus - we never had trouble finding a spot which was good because it sometimes felt a little sketchy outside on the street. My gripes include: - The rooms on the north side, confirmed by two room visits, sloped oddly towards the balconies about two feet from the edge… which was strange. - There’s only ice on a few of the floors, not every floor and of course… everyone wants ice when they’re at the beach, so many of the machines were not working when we were there. - Getting an elevator at busy times was next to impossible. People going up and down for ice and only 2 running consistently that week. Overall we would return but I’ll be anxious to see how it holds up!

Being right on the beach was very nice. The pool, hot tub, and outdoor patio areas were all very pleasant. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We arrived early with a six-year-old, who was eager to get to the beach. Seeing this, the reservation agent kindly allowed us to check in early, which we truly appreciated. Ashore is an exceptionally clean property with plenty of amenities. It’s set away from the busy boardwalk crowd, yet offers lots of dining options both onsite and nearby. You really can’t go wrong staying here!

Overall nice stay, however, I do miss the indoor pool that the property uses to have. My stay at the property was very nice, a few upgrades were made to the facility which was nice.

We checked in late at night on August 2nd and were told that our hotel room didn't have hot water. We were not offered any kind of refund except "free breakfast" the next morning. That "breakfast" was a few pastries and limited fruit. It was embarrassing. For a property that claims to be luxury with multiple dining options, the only place that was open was the "breakfast" bar. I think they should have at least offered to comp one of our nights or given us 50% off. We did not have hot water our entire stay.

There was a carbon monoxide leak so we did not have hot water for our entire stay (3 nights). The restaurants were also closed. The housekeeping did not clean our room while we are there. We had to ask for new towels. There was also sand and dog hair all over the floor and shower (not from us). No credit was offered for the inconvenience. We had to call the general manager and they only credited one night of our stay.

I think Ashore offers amazing value and wonderful amenities. Things like the bar, access to beach chairs and umbrellas. Very helpful and courteous staff overall a wonderful resort. That I will definitely be staying at again.next summer. There are only two things that need attention. First is the elevator's some were offline and the waiting time average from 5-15min. I found myself using the stairwell alot (walking up and down to my hotel room on the 11th floor). I think management needs to invest in studying elevator technology and waiting times. That can turn off alot of future customers. The last thing would be the room. Although they are absolutely wonderful with a gorgeous beach view. I think it would help customers alot to have one simple rug (optional) in front of the couch. Going back and forth to the beach sand builds up on the floor and can make walking around uncomfortable. A simple small rug would be a good touch in the room to elieviate walking on sand in your room. Other than that everything was wonderful and I look forward to staying there again.

Comfortable, nice amenities including a gift shop and coffee shop with breakfast sandwiches for purchase. Right on the beach. Outdoor bar and indoor restaurant and taproom with drinks and food. Festive and relaxing atmosphere. Pool and hot tub were clean but busy. I really loved the dog friendly atmosphere. I didn’t bring my dog but I liked seeing the other dogs on premises. There was a wedding event when we stayed and it didn’t interfere with our experience but added to the excitement of watching their event unfold.

The lighting in our bathroom was not working when we told the front desk. Nothing was done about it. A worker came up said he couldn’t do it. It’d be done in the morning and nothing happened. The floors were dirty room service never came. We had to chase them down for a new towels we made our own bed would not recommend this hotel.

Mix of things going on with this hotel. Overall, the stay was mostly enjoyable. Front staff was super courteous as well as the restaurant staff. They were super friendly and engaging. Rooms were ok. Not the cleanest perse, floors seemed like they used the same mop for each room without cleaning it in between as there were some hairs (yuck) still on the floor. Balcony was lack luster. Sure you could see the beach but it was small and no where to sit so not worth it in my opinion. We were out of the room from 8am-2.30pm and when I came up to put the baby down, the cleaning person hadn’t been to our room yet and it just never got cleaned. The pool was really gross. Bandaids, hair, sand and everything else floating around. I’ve been to other beach side pools that were much cleaner so I’m not sure what the cleaning system is they’re lacking. The close access to the beach was perfect! All of the cleanliness issues were made up for by the nice lobby and restaurant decor and the really good food. I don’t know if I’d stay here again. A cleaner pool and room would change that tho.

My room was not the best. The carpet under the bed was beyond dirty. Hardwood floor had sand all over. Bathroom floor was dirty. Hair in the shower. Dinning table was sticky. Lighting was poor in the room. Room location was the worst. The young lady at the front desk was rude and not helpful at all.

It was okay, room was dirty nothing was wiped down. Spent the first 20 minutes wiping the table, sink ect. Sheets were diety, looks as though they werent even changed. Had a hard time getting new sheets and more wash clothes since they were used to wipe things down.

The room just wasn't clean enough. There was a sticker in the bathroom no one bothered to move. The floors had not been mopped in the room or the bathroom. There was a brown stain on the arm of the sofa and when I brought it to the attention of the staff. She tried to explain the stain rather than attempt to clean it. I had to use a towel to cover it.

I would never stay here again. First and last time. Where do I begin..The motel not a resort needs major upgrading. There should be a section for pets. I got extremely sick although they mentioned our room would be cleaned thoroughly. I am allergic to pet dander. I will be taking further actions regarding this. Food at resort is disgusting . Sleep was interrupted by dogs barking in the hallway early in the morning. Not to mention , these aren’t small dogs. They are huge dogs. Mold around the air conditioner . Fruit flies everywhere . As soon as we got off the elevator the garbage is right there along with fruit flies. Yellow stains on mattress covers. They get a 1/2 star because the hotel staff tried their best to accommodate. For the amount they charge the cleanliness should be a whooolleee lot better. Nice setup but dirt motel(resort)

This property needs a new company to take over. Rooms were not clean and the hotel smelled near trash barrels near ice machines from not being serviced daily. Rooms were not cleaned until after 3 calls starting at 9 am until after 3rd call at 2:30 pm! Room views were over the littered rooftop! Will never return nor would i ever recommend this Ashore hotel in Ocean City Maryland!!

Rooms were not cleaned until after 3 calls starting at 9 am until after 3rd call at 2:30 pm! Room views were over the littered rooftop! Had to move rooms twice due to lack of cleanliness. One of the rooms the wood floor was waxed and i slipped when entering the room, didnt even send security or medical attention to check in on me. Asked simply for fresh towels to my room since they didn’t service it all day for one of the days i was there and they never sent the towels. Girls at the check in desk we not friendly, rolled their eyes to any request needed and still wouldn’t complete the task. Will never stay here again, no customer service and did not feel welcome

The property has such great potential but it really needs a good top to bottom cleaning. Our fitted sheet had a tear in it which you wouldn’t expect. Having restaurants onsite was a great advantage. I probably wouldn’t stay here again unless I knew they dealt with the cleanliness issues.

You can have only side view of the ocean, not the full view for which I paid the price. They have tiny balconies on sides of the building. The beds were just full beds, not queens. The floor going toward the balcony was uneven and I tripped the first time, luckily did not hurt. Really Pet friendly though!

Great location, nice facilities. Rooms were clean, comfortable & quiet. My only complaint is that our room was very dark. The three lights in the room did not illuminate the space well at all and it was hard to see. Also, there was only a single electrical outlet between the beds and it was being used by the alarm clock. I had to unplug it to use my CPAP. So if you have bedside electrical needs, bring a power strip!

The room was clean and spacious. The staff was polite and helpful. Be aware that if you book a City View room on the third floor you will have absolutely no view or balcony. Those rooms look onto a roof. The windows open and are more like a sliding door so everyone on that floor has access to the roof and there are no privacy barriers. The rooftop is flat and dirty. People are able to walk around the entire area and many smoke out there. It just didn’t feel safe.

The staff was amazing—super friendly and nice. I stayed in the oceanfront king suite, but I didn't care for the balcony; it's so small that you can't fit even one chair on it. I also didn't like the rug under and around the bed because it was dirty, which I believe contributed to a musty smell in the room. Other than that, the room was clean. I definitely think they should remove all rugs, as they tend to hold germs, dirt, and sand.

Poor experience. Elevators were slow and always full. Took so long to get to the room and down to the lobby. Room was very dark. Not enough lights. Only one mirror in the entire room, which was in the bathroom. Need more mirrors and lights. Room smelled musty. AC not working, so was always hot.

The balcony was very small, it didn't have room to put a chair out, let alone 2. The cleaning people made our bed& took our dirty towels. But they didn't leave us any wash clothes or hand towels. We waited 20 min to have some brought to our room. They also left us with our dirty cups. No clean cups for our second day. Also had next door people smoking pot constantly, on the balcony & were loud until very late at night.

Beach pool vibe was nice. Other than that half of the lights in the room wouldnt turn On or Off. Cable Tv/ guest options streaming opportunities were non existent. Old coax distribution is bogus. Kids wanted to watch cartoons but couldnt because they didnt hire pros to fugure it out.

The staff was incredibly rude and seemed to not care about you as a customer. When checking in, all I got was “credit card” and handed the card to my room. No explanation on what my card was being charged for, even when I asked. I received a text the night before that I could reply back to with questions and concerns, and never got responses back. There was no parking. They had 2 weddings there, so all of the guests took up parking. We had to pay for municipal parking 2/3 nights of our stay and walk to the hotel. It wasn’t fun having a baby to constantly walk a distance. Part of the parking lot was blocked off with cones (at least 15 spots) for no known reason. Housekeeping came to our room between 7am-8am every day to clean. We were still sleeping and got woken up for them to clean. Elevators suck. Don’t even think about getting a head start on the day of checkout. 3 elevators that stop at every floor. When everyone is trying to check out, staff was filling up the elevators to clean empty rooms, leaving no elevator space for people trying to leave. We waited at least 30 minutes for an elevator. Pack your car the night before and just bring yourselves that morning because you won’t fit anything in the elevator with everyone trying to leave. You can’t access the beach or pool easily from the back. You have to go out the front and around the building w/ a wagon. The beach itself was nice, it was nice that umbrellas and chairs were included, and the pool area was clean.

We arrived early with a six-year-old, who was eager to get to the beach. Seeing this, the reservation agent kindly allowed us to check in early, which we truly appreciated. Ashore is an exceptionally clean property with plenty of amenities. It’s set away from the busy boardwalk crowd, yet offers lots of dining options both onsite and nearby. You really can’t go wrong staying here!

We booked 2 rooms across the hall from each other. We arrived early and were told the rooms weren’t ready. We waited over an hour and were given the keys to one room at 3:45 pm. We then watched as 3 people cleaned the other room. Check-in was supposed to be by 4pm. The other room wasn’t ready til after 5 pm! We were never contacted by text or phone so we went to the front desk to get keys. The woman at the desk lied to us and said that room was ready at 3:45! We suggested some sort of compensation should be given and she said to contact the third party that we booked through. What a way to begin our vacation! Her attitude was definitely in need of some customer service training , along with honesty and integrity.

The best thing about this property are the stylings and practicality of the rooms, the location and view, and the wonderful restaurant renovations. It's a beautifully done restaurant with great food and cocktails for dinner. I think Ashore offers amazing value and wonderful amenities. Things like the bar, access to beach chairs and umbrellas. Very helpful and courteous staff overall a wonderful resort. That I will definitely be staying at again.next summer. There are only two things that need attention. First is the elevator's some were offline and the waiting time average from 5-15min. I found myself using the stairwell alot (walking up and down to my hotel room on the 11th floor). I think management needs to invest in studying elevator technology and waiting times. That can turn off alot of future customers. The last thing would be the room. Although they are absolutely wonderful with a gorgeous beach view. I think it would help customers alot to have one simple rug (optional) in front of the couch. Going back and forth to the beach sand builds up on the floor and can make walking around uncomfortable. A simple small rug would be a good touch in the room to elieviate walking on sand in your room. Other than that everything was wonderful and I look forward to staying there again.

This is a newly refurbished property that SPARKLES. It's so pretty -- they provide free beach umbrellas, chairs and towels. They have a large outdoor patio right off the beach with games, a beach bar you can get food at, an outdoor shower, outdoor and indoor pool. I was outside so much i didn't even realize my room had a small balcony with Ocean and Bay view until my 2nd day. I will definitely stay here next time. The room was beautiful too.

The only thing i didnt like was no microwave in the room. I had a maintenance issue and they fixed it right away. Room was a nice size. Bed was pretty comfy. Liked the table and chairs in room to eat at. Bus stops right in front. Good hotel for the price. Nice beach access

Had an amazing time at the Ashore hotel, easy walk to the beach, there was always chairs and umbrellas available, staff was very friendly and attentive, lots of places to eat near by, pool was great. Easy check in and fast. I would definitely stay at the Ashore Resort & Beach Club again!

The hotel provided beach chairs and umbrellas. The Ashore has the best Orange Crush in OC. The Terrace is so relaxing. The live music could be improved. We only stay at the Ashore when visiting OC.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay but I can see why it is a 3 Star hotel. Room was mostly clean, though we did find some sand between the freshly made bed. We also had an issue getting the guide on the TV to work, again, not a huge issue but when I called the desk I was told maintenance would be up to fix it and they never came. Wasn't warned that they put a $100 hold on a credit card for incidentals. Not a huge deal, but if you're traveling on a budget that is probably good to know ahead of time. Ironically, they never explain how you can charge incidentals to your room. Beach service was fantastic. Server came by several times and drinks came quick and were fantastic! 10/10 for the Orange Crush and Margarita! While the drinks were great, I would skip eating at the outdoor restaurant. Overpriced and mediocre at best. Stick to the drinks. The only major issue we had was on the beach with the beach staff. Ashore provides chairs and umbrellas which is awesome, but we had been on the beach for about an hour when a staff member came and asked us to move bc they wanted the umbrella and chairs for a photo shoot. We said no bc there were 3 more umbrellas and 6 chairs empty next to us and we already settled in. He mentioned security and we said okay bc there were no signs on the seats saying they were reserved. He never came back and other than Scopes, we never saw a photo shoot. They also had plenty of other umbrellas and chairs for the shoot so harassing us was unnecessary.

Wasn't warned that they put a $100 hold on a credit card for incidentals. Not a huge deal, but if you're traveling on a budget that is probably good to know ahead of time. Ironically, they never explain how you can charge incidentals to your room. Beach service was fantastic. Server came by several times and drinks came quick and were fantastic! 10/10 for the Orange Crush and Margarita! While the drinks were great, I would skip eating at the outdoor restaurant. Overpriced and mediocre at best. Stick to the drinks. The only major issue we had was on the beach with the beach staff. Ashore provides chairs and umbrellas which is awesome, but we had been on the beach for about an hour when a staff member came and asked us to move bc they wanted the umbrella and chairs for a photo shoot. We said no bc there were 3 more umbrellas and 6 chairs empty next to us and we already settled in. He mentioned security and we said okay bc there were no signs on the seats saying they were reserved. He never came back and other than Scopes, we never saw a photo shoot. They also had plenty of other umbrellas and chairs for the shoot so harassing us was unnecessary.

The best thing about this property are the stylings and practicality of the rooms, the location and view, and the wonderful restaurant renovations. It's a beautifully done restaurant with great food and cocktails for dinner. The negatives would be the service which varies person to person, the dated areas of the hotel that still need some major updating and cleaning, and the fact that there is no relief area for pets as mentioned. There were a lot of inconsistencies throughout our stay. This hotel could be a 5 and its a gem of a property, but I think they just need to get it together from a customer service standpoint and manage their team better. For an example, we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant which was not inexpensive, and saw our waiter once. Someone else brought us our food and he never checked on us so we could reorder drinks etc. We had to track him down for the check. The restaurant wasnt even remotely busy at that time. We saw him "around" but never did he tend to us other than taking our order. No one else checked on us at all.

Comfortable, nice amenities including a gift shop and coffee shop with breakfast sandwiches for purchase. Right on the beach. Outdoor bar and indoor restaurant and taproom with drinks and food. Festive and relaxing atmosphere. Pool and hot tub were clean but busy. I really loved the dog friendly atmosphere. I didn’t bring my dog but I liked seeing the other dogs on premises. There was a wedding event when we stayed and it didn’t interfere with our experience but added to the excitement of watching their event unfold.

Stayed two nights and we did not receive any in room housekeeping, at 3pm we had to ask for fresh towels and they accommodated. At the price point that's unacceptable Beverage pricing at beach bar very expensive!

Our very first stay and won’t be our last. This hotel has been beautifully decorated, is exceptionally clean, and is a wonderful layout. Loved walking directly out on to the beach! And what a fantastic plus…….their very own beach chairs and umbrellas are available to guests. Only two cons: the bed wasn’t very comfortable and there wasn’t a full length mirror in the room. Otherwise, an overall excellent experience. We look forward to visiting again next year.

Overall the Ashore hotel was a great hotel right on the beach. Check is was easy and the receptionist was super sweet. The room was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable. There was a small refrigerator and a kuerig coffee maker in the room. There is no microwave but I was told if you ask for one, if it's available, they will put one in the room. There is a "standing balcony" which means you cant sit out there, but only stand and we could see the ocean and bay which was cool. The terrace room was a fantastic third space.

Disappointed. The hot tub was broken, our bathtub didn’t plug, and the AC was broken in our room. There was not a single vending machine or snack to be purchased in the hotel.
