We really enjoyed our stay. It was just a few minutes to downtown. We had to bring our own food and toiletries, but not much else. There were plenty of dishes, silverware, and pots and pans. The beds were comfy and there were more than enough towels, sheets, pillows and comforters. It was well stocked with paper towels and TP. There were full-sized front-loading washer and dryer. The only (minor) issue we had was that the shower was smaller than we expected. Not so much a problem for my daughters and I but it was a bit small for my 6' tall grandson. Overall a very enjoyable stay for all of us.

Property just as described. The beds are very comfortable, the property is well equiped with everything you will need, the front porch is very relaxing. The weather was great. The hosts communicate well. You will enjoy your stay in Sykesville.

This was a really great stay and very convenient for our needs. We loved that it was clean, private entrance and parking. It was easy to get in and out and initial access communication was very smooth. Any questions I had were answered and I was very happy. I would stay here again and I was very grateful to have this rental as an option being that we needed it for additional family flying in.

Communication before we got there was good. When we arrived the code to the door would not work luckily the owner's son was there he literally had to redo the codes and he couldn't figure it out at first took a while to get in and he never said sorry about the door lock not working or anything it was like we bothered him. Entranceway was very dirty with leaves and grass cuttings thought it would be a little bit cleaner when you walk up to the front door . The carpet also was dirty didn't look like anybody had vacuumed I have pictures but don't know how to post. last thing is be careful when you walk out the front door there's a 2-in lip that is at the threshold of the door that you could trip on my wife did. The pictures are old the train out front is nothing like in the picture.

We are so thankful we found this adorable apartment. Our company needed a place nearby with no stairs. They loved the porch and the privacy it allowed. Owners were very accommodating.

Nice area and easy walk to historic downtown Sykesville, which has couple of restaurants, bars, ice creamery, coffee. Nice neighborhood, private studio apartment attached to single family home, easy driveway parking, very close to small town main street with shops, sidewalk bistro, restaurants, ice cream, brewery, and weekend outdoor bands. 2 comfortable bedrooms and shared bathroom between.them. separate private laundry room with full size washer dryer. We sent 8 nights while celebrating a 50 year HS Reunion, visiting friends, and attending a wedding reception! The place was clean, beds comfortable, and located in a quiet neighborhood. If you are looking for high end luxury probably not what you want but if you are looking for great comfortable place to stay at one of the best values you could find in this area it’s wonderful! Would definitely stay again!!!

My son and I were in town for a summer camp he wanted to attend. I had to telework while he was at camp. This was conveniently located and super chill. The space was cozy and plenty of room for the two of us. Well stocked and grocery options were nearby with lots of shopping and dining options as well. The beds were comfy and everything worked and was clean in the kitchen and bathroom.

We arrived in the evening and the property was not very well-lit. I wondered aloud which of the two doors was our entrance. A voice from a speaker answered our question, which was a little creepy. They were watching us. If you are watching us, why not open the door and say hello? The property is nothing to write home about. It is decent, but dated and absolutely nothing special. The bathroom floor was filthy and the shower wasn't clean. The furnishings were pretty old and uncomfortable. The beds were fine. Plenty of towels and linens. The neighborhood felt safe and friendly. The bedrooms from the inside appear underground, with the sole windows high up on the wall. One window is covered by a deck. This was not mentioned in the posting. This poses a safety hazard in a case of a fire or intruder. Additionally, there is no natural light, leaving us, literally, in the dark. It was fine, but not worth the price. We won't be returning.

Very nice apartment and great location. Apartment is well appointed for a long or short stay, with everything needed for comfort, including a small desk for working (this was a "working" trip). With family in the area, we will be back and this is a perfect spot for a getaway. Very clean and quiet.

The hosts truly thought about everything and left detailed tips and instructions. The town feels like a romcom! Friendly people and sweet shops. We slept so soundly, didn’t even notice it was an attached property. Comfy beds, great water pressure in the shower, and a place to watch the NBA playoff games at night. I’ve traveled a lot of places, but Debbie and Chris’ VRBO has unmatched hospitality.

Furniture was a little shabby. The bed was comfortable, but sheets didn’t fit well, slipped around quite a bit, and pillows were not comfortable. Location was very good and close to restaurants and shopping. We asked for a folding table and property manager brought us one right away and helped with the TV.

This was a really great stay and very convenient for our needs. We loved that it was clean, private entrance and parking. It was easy to get in and out and initial access communication was very smooth. Any questions I had were answered and I was very happy. I would stay here again and I was very grateful to have this rental as an option being that we needed it for additional family flying in.

Communication before we got there was good. When we arrived the code to the door would not work luckily the owner's son was there he literally had to redo the codes and he couldn't figure it out at first took a while to get in and he never said sorry about the door lock not working or anything it was like we bothered him. Entranceway was very dirty with leaves and grass cuttings thought it would be a little bit cleaner when you walk up to the front door . The carpet also was dirty didn't look like anybody had vacuumed I have pictures but don't know how to post. last thing is be careful when you walk out the front door there's a 2-in lip that is at the threshold of the door that you could trip on my wife did. The pictures are old the train out front is nothing like in the picture.

I do a lot of small trips. This was one of them. I find that a good b and b is often better than a hotel for less money. That was the case here. Very easy, comfortable stay, and I'd certainly visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was just a few minutes to downtown. We had to bring our own food and toiletries, but not much else. There were plenty of dishes, silverware, and pots and pans. The beds were comfy and there were more than enough towels, sheets, pillows and comforters. It was well stocked with paper towels and TP. There were full-sized front-loading washer and dryer. The only (minor) issue we had was that the shower was smaller than we expected. Not so much a problem for my daughters and I but it was a bit small for my 6' tall grandson. Overall a very enjoyable stay for all of us.

The hosts truly thought about everything and left detailed tips and instructions. The town feels like a romcom! Friendly people and sweet shops. We slept so soundly, didn’t even notice it was an attached property. Comfy beds, great water pressure in the shower, and a place to watch the NBA playoff games at night. I’ve traveled a lot of places, but Debbie and Chris’ VRBO has unmatched hospitality.

My son and I were in town for a summer camp he wanted to attend. I had to telework while he was at camp. This was conveniently located and super chill. The space was cozy and plenty of room for the two of us. Well stocked and grocery options were nearby with lots of shopping and dining options as well. The beds were comfy and everything worked and was clean in the kitchen and bathroom.

Furnished with all the basics needed for 3 night stay. Comfortable beds. Easy parking and access. Nice area and easy walk to historic downtown Sykesville, which has couple of restaurants, bars, ice creamery, coffee. The house entry way could be significantly improved by moving the trash/recycling bins, and thus flies and foul odor, away from the front door, and removing the numerous cobwebs.

Nice neighborhood, private studio apartment attached to single family home, easy driveway parking, very close to small town main street with shops, sidewalk bistro, restaurants, ice cream, brewery, and weekend outdoor bands. 2 comfortable bedrooms and shared bathroom between.them. separate private laundry room with full size washer dryer. This property was awesome. Very clean, comfortable, with all the amenities one would need. Parking was easy and accessible. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe. The location was very amenable to visiting Gettysburg, Frederick, and other Baltimore/DC attractions will definitely stay here again when in the area.

This was ideal for our needs (visiting relatives in the area). Check-in and check-out was easy, communication with co-hosts effortless. Some of the photos in the listing appear to have been taken a while ago, as, for example, the linens on beds and bedroom furniture (other than beds) is slightly different now (not a big deal at all, just letting you know) and the trains out front are not as bright and shiny as pictured. Clean. Bathroom appears to be relatively new, great shower-head and water pressure is good. Notebook is available with information regarding appliances, etc., very thorough. Be aware that people (co-host) do live upstairs and can occasionally be heard (e.g., flushing toilet, some footsteps). We were not there much during the day, basically just slept and cooked breakfast there (kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, etc., coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator was spotless). There is a dog living upstairs FYI. We did not hear any barking except when we first arrived (dog was inside and not visible or threatening in any way). The co-host did cut the grass Saturday morning but did wait until 8:45am.

Whistle Stop offered great Location/Quiet space as well and close to the Quaint town of Sykesville and family only 10 mins away. Felt very comfortable, like coming to visit a dear family members home. The space was clean over all, Kitxhwn had all the basic equipment and a bit more. My second visit and I will return Thanks Debbie and Chris
