Zentral gelegenes Kailua-Kona Condo mit Lanai!

This was a solid place to stay with a small family for a couple days. Keep in mind that the establishment is not a resort hotel - it's a functional condo centrally located in Kona's main tourist area. It's very near the port where cruise ships dock, thus there is a significant number of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores within a 5-10 min walk from the front door.The place is a bit old, probably 80's vintage, but if you are not concerned about granite counter tops and fancy light fixtures, you'll be just fine. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, way more towels and linens than we needed (which is great when there is a pool & ocean nearby), and they have an outdoor locker full of snorkeling, sand, and water play equipment for adults and kids. This was a big bonus to not have to pack or rent our own.Be aware that the Lanai for this unit is adjacent to the facility's pool, so you will hear others splashing around from 9am - 9pm. But we had a couple nice conversations with other guests through the screen windows and could even keep an eye on the kiddos from within the condo.

This is the perfect location for everything Ironman whether you are a competitor, volunteer or spectator. Comfortable home and within a very easy walking distance plus shops and restaurants nearby.
