Great Coffee shop and Gym

It's important to know that parking is not included in the rate,and overnight valet parking is $80. If you try to find parking without using the valet, it can be very difficult in the Fulton Market area. Location is awesome for Michelin Starred Next Restaurant and many other Fulton Market places, which you can walk to. Had to ask front desk twice, to send up extra sheets, before they arrived. Rooms are comfy, quiet, beds are small (doubles rather than queens) but really comfortable, shower 🚿 was surprisingly great, with a consistent fine flow that feels great! Will come back!

We loved our stay at the Emily. The room was beautiful and cozy. The restaurant and coffee bar were delicious. They have the best hotel gym I’ve been too. And the location is perfect. Highly recommend.

Excellent customer service. Loved the location. Rooms were spotless and well stocked. Rooftop cinema, two bars/restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Great location, handy for the CTA to get around the city. Bar could have done with stating open longer (21:00 shutting some evenings), but staff were excellent throughout

Pro: Beautiful decor, great food and drink options, and an awesome gym. Cons: TV service is awful and inconsistent, the eco friendly approach is wonderful but I still expect 2 bath towels with 2 guests and trash bags so we didn't have to throw coffee pods into a metal mesh trashcan. Room could have used some more refined details

Friendly, tasting restaurant and coffee bar. Rooms were clean, large, wonderful accommodations. Gym had high quality equipment. My only complaint- gym floor plan was too small for all the guests.

Cute and trendy hotwl but there was a loud party on-site which ruined experience. It felt clean but our mini fridge had takeout left from former guest, so maid service obviously missed that.

Moments after arriving the hotel room, I took a shower and when I got out, there was a cockroach on my floor near the bed.

My daughter needed a microwave(not kept in room) we called the front desk & they delivered one promptly to our room. The bathroom did have noticeable dust on vent:walls:corners. One clean coffee cup still had red lipstick on the rim. The pillows & bed were not comfortable. The entire business as a whole was very pretty…friendly helpful staff. Valet parking, although expensive was efficient & easy to work with

I usually love this property! This visit was NYE so maybe they were short staffed??! Doesn't make up for the disgusting, dirtiness of my room. No rooms to switch to, told the front desk, they were to email me a solution within and hour of my check out (Yesterday) - still have not heard a thing...so gross!

Great property and staff were extremely accommodating. Only issue was a tad dusty/lack of cleanliness. There was a used Q-top right outside our door and one in the medicine shelf of the bathroom sink.

Clean room and great staff

The hotel is situated in Fulton market and has many options for dining. The bed was comfortable, but the linens were very wrinkled and the comforter had stains on it.

The hotel is cool. I thought the downstairs was great. The rooms are incredibly basic. The bed felt more like a cot than a bed. The bathroom seemed straight out of the hospital. The vanity is outside the bathroom and only one small sink. I would give the hotel itself 5 stars and the room 2.5 or 3 stars

Love the Emily! Only small complaint was the couch was not really that comfy for a third person to sleep on. Upgraded to a bigger room since we had three and it wasn’t that great. Plus no door to the shower area.

The hotel is nice and well located. But there was no tv signal in my room all 3 days I was there. I complained twice to the front desk and the answer was that I was not the only one, like somehow that’s gonna make it better? Also the TVs are not smart so I had to end up watching Netflix on my phone every night. 3 days with no TV is unacceptable. No compensation was offered at all either which I also thought was wrong after knowing there was no signal in the whole building for at least 3 days.

Lighting in the rooms is terrible. Bed was really comfortable but all 4 pillows were super flat.

The hotel was nice and in a great area. But it’s very expensive, no one came by to clean until 4 pm one day (at which point we were back in our room after being out all day), and from the second floor, I could hear both the music on the roof and everything on the street, all night, not to mention people in the halls. Bring ear plugs.

Severely underwhelming experience. We had room 231. The front desk and especially the valet were exceptional. The Expedia booking made it look like there was a nice bathtub and well decorated room. There wasn’t a tub. When I went to talk to the front desk, they said only 40% of the rooms have tubs and it’s hit or miss if you get one or not. They said they were completely booked and didn’t have any other rooms to move us to. There is no place to sit. The only non-bed furniture is a terrible wire desk chair, with only a seat cushion ( no seat back); it was severely uncomfortable. There is no art, wallpaper, or decorations in the room. Under the desk is exposed lacquered plywood. The desk has a cutout in it for something that wasn’t there. The bed frame is a simple metal frame with a rudimentary headboard that isn’t comfortable. The storage solution is this metal frame behind the tv . There are no hooks or bins or attachments to actually use it. Overall, the room felt unfinished and forgotten about. It felt like a dorm room that a college student lended you for the weekend. This would have all been fine, if the price was comparable. We paid 420 dollars (after Chicago taxes) for one night expecting something much grander and luxurious than what we were given.

Great hotel with the exception of a terribly uncomfortable bed. The mattress was incredibly firm and difficult to sleep on.

The decor is dark especially in the hallways and minimalist. The rooms are comfortable and have a nice set up.

Great location! Lobby and public spaces are great. Rooms are big. They are a bit dark and need a but more lighting.

Excellent service at front desk, coffee shop and Fora. Very clean and fun atmosphere. Beds extremely comfortable! Friendly employees. Easy to walk to sops and restaurants. Highly recommend

Friendly staff, clean, great experience overall

Some staff were very friendly. Others quite the opposite. Water was never offered or presented to us. A description of hotel amenities with business hours and descriptions would be nice. Maybe even providing the check-in and check-out times would be beneficial. Getting the staff to respond to even simple requests is a struggle. We simply asked for silverware and we were told, “maybe”. Asking for a microwave in your room also seems to be too much to ask of some staff.

I am not giving a great rating to this hotel for several reasons. The most important issue was that I was staying with someone who needed a wheelchair. Although I had requested a wheelchair and they had one available, I checked in late, and there was no one available to assist me with the wheelchair and our baggage. This was quite disappointing. When I asked the bartender for help, she said it wasn’t her responsibility. Additionally, the room was missing toothpaste, which is typically provided in hotels of this category. I had to ask for it. The only reason I didn't give them a lower rating is because of one staff member. I don't remember his name exactly, but I believe it was Shane. He really made a difference. Although the front desk staff was not particularly helpful, Shane was exceptionally kind when I checked out. He noticed I was struggling with the baggage and the wheelchair and helped me with everything. I truly appreciate his assistance.

Overall the hotel is acceptable. However, in staying Sunday evening, there was a DJ hosted party on 7th floor, we were on the 3rd floor, the music from the DJ was pounding so hard it was shaking the windows and vibrating the closet doors so loud it was difficult to carry on a conversation. We needed to get up early the next morning and the pounding went on until 10 pm. In speaking to the management they said they were powerless in asking the party to turn down the volume of the music, an unacceptable excuse. Highly disappointing with the lack of consideration to a paying guest!

Upon entering The Emily Hotel, we were very impressed by the beautiful lobby and restaurant / bar and the level of cleanliness. The area felt safe too, which was nice. However, the room we were assigned was disappointing. The air conditioner was out and it was around 90 degrees outside at the time – When my friend and I turned on the AC, the room only got hotter. We reported the issue to the front desk and were moved to a better room. The first room was a "city view" booking, but our view of the city was the hotel roof gravel pit with clunky pipes directly in front of the windows. The second room much better with an actual view of the city and working AC. The hotel employee at the front desk when we first checked in, the hosts, restaurant waitstaff, and bar staff were very rude to my friend and I during our visit. Unfortunately I don\'t recall the name of this bartender, but he was especially unkind and continued to criticize me for no reason at all. 30-something with blone hair I think. I was kind to him, so I don\'t really understand what his problem was. He was a dick though and I hope he gets fired The only two employees worth mentioning are Leo and Steven. Steven was so kind and thoughtful when he helped me buy some Tylenol for a headache later during our stay. Leo assisted us during checking out the next morning. Both employees were genuine, professional, and had great customer service.

Nice hotel. Good location near train station. Lots of food options at and around the hotel. Would stay again.

Perfect location for a night out in Fulton Market area.

Great location in the heart of Fulton Market District.

I was at the Emily for a business trip & it was the perfect location for our group. We were working at a co-working space in Fulton Market, so we were able to walk there as well as to many great restaurants

In a very fun part of Chicago. Easy to find and conveniently near a train station.

Good hotel. Staff is excellent and attentive. Room is comfortable for one person traveling alone. There are three drawbacks did business travelers: 1 - the desk chair is very uncomfortable to sit in for more than a few minutes. As a result, no biz traveler could work from the room for more than a short call or video. 2 - there is no room service. I got take out from Fora, but room service is imoortant for biz travelers. 3 - the doors don’t keep noise out, and I heard people making noise in the hall until well past midnight.

Very attentive staff and got an upgrade for our 24th wedding anniversary. Enjoyed the onsite coffee bar. Walked from the train to get there and the area is full of restaurants and bars, but like that the Emily is away from the busier streets and the highway.

Our stay at The Emily was excellent! Remarkable service, great location, and lovely design. Dinner at Fora was amazing, but breakfast was so-so. The coffee shop was a reliable staple though. There are so many amazing food options within a few blocks, and the Green Line is just right down the street! Top-notch property, would definitely stay here again :)

Room was good, reception staff very good. Breakfast staff not quite so good. Disappointing that breakfast does not start till 9am on a Saturday.
