Luxuriöses und geräumiges Haus in Aubburn Hills

Our daughter got married at Pine Knob, and we used this property to host her and her bridesmaids in the lead-up to the ceremony. It suited that purpose beautifully, with guests especially enjoying the variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for eating and visiting with each other. There was plenty of room for getting hair and make-up done, and the house and yard provided many lovely and interesting backdrops for photos. The house was spotless, and there was ample parking and a well-equipped kitchen, nicely stocked with breakfast options.As far as we could tell, the "hot tub" was actually what we would call a spa tub, located in the bathroom on the main floor. (We'd envisioned an outdoor hot tub from the listing.) Also, the "gym" seemed to be just a stationary bike hemmed in by other items in a curtained-off area of the basement, not inviting use. The bedrooms do not have light-blocking shades, which proved a tad challenging for those arriving late into DTW on delayed flights. But these were minor issues that did little to dampen our enjoyment of and enthusiasm for the property. We would definitely use it again for this particular purpose!

The house is so cozy and nicely decorated. We had 4 generations of family there for a family wedding. We were even able to bake and assemble the wedding cake! The back yard was lovely as well. There were multiple areas for people to go to relax and enjoy the quiet, or play games and visit. The only challenge was navigating all of us getting ready for said wedding with 2 bathrooms! But we made it work. Our daughter was even able to do her laundry from being at camp all week!! It truly was a welcoming “home away from home.” We had to reach out to the owner once regarding the temperature in the house and they were very quick to respond to our needs!

Property was absolutely adorable and the host was very prompt and answering any questions and very kind would definitely recommend this property

I really wanted to love this house. But, unfortunately, it fell a bit short on my expectations. When I first arrived, my code to get in didn’t work. I messaged the host and called the number a couple of times. She got back to me about 15 minutes later and told me that my code would work now. (It did)Next, I was a little uneasy about the fact that all but one of the bedrooms were locked. I travel alone, so I like to assure myself that I’m the only one in them home. (I understand the reasoning they had and realize this is just my own paranoia, but it was something I hadn’t experienced before.)Then I noticed ants in the upstairs bathroom and bedroom. I told the host and she sent someone to spray while I was out. I later found many more ants all over the kitchen. (I’ve noticed that other reviews stated the same thing.)I also noticed that the lights all throughout the home were flickering a lot. I mentioned this to the host and was told they didn’t see anything while they were there spraying for ants. Then I attempted to use the beautiful tub in the downstairs bathroom. This was my biggest disappointment. It didn’t hold water in and ran out of hot water before I could even fill it 1/2 way. Lastly, I was asked by the host to move my car so a delivery could be left in the driveway between 7am - 11am. No big deal, but I wasn’t told this until 6am that day. A little more heads up would have been nice. The house was really cute, bed was comfortable, but I wouldn’t stay again.
