Möblierte Terrasse: Hütte an der Northstar Shuttle Route!

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the house and location, but our stay was marred by a serious wildlife issue. By our second day we discovered squirrels had been nesting in a damaged vent of the master bedroom ceiling. That afternoon, two squirrels got into the bedroom, trapped between the window and screen — a frightening experience that took real time and effort to safely resolve without help from the owner. This involved us having to knock out the screen and force the squirrels out of the house. We're in our 70s and found ourselves having to climb on furniture to secure the window ourselves.The event cost us a night's sleep and a lot of stress. We contacted the owner, Greg, right away, but found his response dismissive rather than helpful — he spent time insisting the animals were chipmunks rather than focusing on a solution. No compensation was offered for the disruption. We heard activity in the ceiling again the morning we left. We like the house itself, but a known, unresolved entry point for wildlife in an occupied bedroom is a real safety and comfort issue. We felt the response from the owner didn't match the seriousness of the situation. We have never been treated this poorly in any other rental property.We will obviously never return to this house.

Great place to stay. Spacious. Clean. Well stocked. Would stay again!
